Come on no murder storyline. That sounds Melrose Place terrible. Please let this be not true. If it is true, my guess is that Waverly is the murder.

According to TV Guide, they are trying to get her to be a girl's soccer coach who is upset about all the money going to the football team. Maybe they can get Elisabeth Hasselbeck as the art teacher or Barbara Walters as the principal. I hope to God they don't get Rosie. I love FNL and I don't want Rosie anywhere near there.

It really is the best show. I couldn't care less about football either. The only games I ever watch are the UF football team games and the superbowl. Other than that, nada. I have a feeling though that this will turn into the next American Dreams. It'll last maybe 3 seasons. Unless more people watch it of course, but I have lost most hope and respect for TV networks these days.

Noooooooooooo!!!!!!! Please don't do fucking guest stars just for the hell of it! What's next, "A very special episode in which the coach molests the team?" We are watching Jump The Shark takeover one of the best shows on TV. Don't be stupid NBC! If you must have a guest star, make them stay for at least a season so it's not so much as a cheap publicity stunt. Otherwise, it's down to just The Shield and Rescue Me as the only two dramas worth watching.

One of the great things about this show is how real it feels. Throwing in a murder storyline feels forced. I'm sure they would make it work, but still, the show doesn't need it.

Fucking useless. Hot, yes. But in that department she's dwarfed by Minka Kelly anyway. Her character's subplots always grind the show to a halt.

Lyla is a drag to the show. Her character started out well, but after the fifth or sixth time she and Jason Street argued about where their relationship was going, you could tell they didn't know what else to do with her.

This show is spectacular on so many levels. Perhaps the "killing" isn't a murder but a tragic accident or Riggins drunk driving disaster. I still don't konw how they are going to make the college coaching job work, but if any show can handle the job its this one. The writing is hands down the best on TV. Easily the best first season of a tv drama in a while.

jeebus. no wonder the show does so poorly. i mean, when the show's fans can't even get the characters straight -- it should come as no surprise. that said, i have a powerful need to see minka naked. how we gonna make that happen?

Fucking great. That's all this show needs is more fucking Jesus. This was a great book and a great movie but the TV show is just shit. I know a lot of teenage gorls think it's some kind of serious art but it isn't. It's fucking One Tree Hill in football helmets. The actual football on the show is a joke -- the game sequences are riddled with continuity flaws the lines of scrimmage are constantly shifting around like magic), bad choreography and contrived, phony drama. Ever fucking game comes down to the last paly. That's when there's any football at all. the rest of it is just stupid-ass, teen melodrama. None of it is realistic. The high school students are all in their 30's and never go to class. The cutesy poo romance between that quarterback and the coach's daughter is puke-inducing. Everything about the coach's family is puke inducing. They're always having cutsey-poo fights and then making up in cutesy-poo fashion. It's nauseiating and phony and produices no real tension. And what's with the praying in the school and in the lockerrom all the time? Have these hillbillies never heard of the Constitution? is there a single person in this school who isn't a mouthbreathing, fundy Christian retard? Are there even any Jews? (probably not. The rednecks would kill them). The original book and movie were exposes on the pathological worship of high school sports in rural Texas. The TV show has abandoned those insights and emraced the very culture which the book exposed. Even the coach in this thing is corrupt and dishonest and cheats but he's portayed as decent family guy who's conflicted about his own cheating so it's all ok. These spoilers make it clear that this show is only going go further into the toilet. A murder plot? give me a fucking break. Unless it involves the coach doing a Chris Benoit on his wife and daughter, I don't give a shit.
