While Stern has admitted what an influence Petey was on him, Stern's own "Private Parts" appears to have been a severe influence on the first half of "Talk To Me." The comedic beats are nearly identical. I'll eat my hat if Kasi Lemmons hasn't seen Private Parts more than once. Nonetheless, a hilarious and moving film. Rest In Peace, Petey Greene.

And it has Don Cheadle and Acting God Chitwel, so it looks like this ones a watcher! If you've never seen Chitwels breakthrough Dirty, Pretty Things, a murder mystery set among illigal immigrants in London, I cannot recommend it enough!
