One of the things I like about it is the sense of "being there" that they give you. When I was in the theater, it almost felt like I was watching stuff explode in the distance along with all of the actors and I had that sense of urgency come over me like I should get the hell out of there. If they can keep that kind of atmosphere present in the entire movie, it will royally kick arse.

If I knew how to make spaces in-between paragraphs on this damn site I'd post all the similarities between the trailer and Hindu myths, as we all know Hindu myths are something Abrams likes to sneak into Lost, but I don't feel like posting a wall of text no one will read. Instead, I'll just say this: Shiva (the destroyer) was often depicted with a severed head, the Statue of Liberty is decapitated in the trailer. Also, a ritual know as Paryaya (which takes place once every two years) just happens to take place on 1-18-08. Coincidence? I think not. And I also think Abrams is full of shit when he says the Ethan sites have nothing to do with this film. I just think we're finding stuff faster than he'd like us to.

I think someone else mentioned that in between the top of the picture of the two girls heads, there is an image of some sort of creature (an ear, two eyes, torso/neck, and possibly wings)... however, it also looks like there is another creature around the girl on the right's eye - if you refresh the images so that the party photo covers the bottom left of the two girls heads, the eyebrow/shaded area looks like a dinosaur/lizard head with teeth while the shading on the bottom of her eye looks like an arm with a claw... of course then again maybe I'm just seeing things need to get some sleep...

If you right click on the pictures and hit play, as another talkbacker suggested, you'll get a duplicate set of pics. If you line up the girl on the right with the girl on the left, to create a whole face, it matches almost perfectly. The colors are a bit off, but it's the same girl.

Here is a round up of conspicuous text in the trailer: 0:07 - Graffiti on the wall, you get a better view of it later. 0:10 - A sign above the door. It looks like USdie . . . 0:35 - Numerous stickers on the fridge, notably there is one sticker that appears twice, it seems to say Exit Mystery St. 0:38 - The graffiti again. Numerous words written. 0:47 - AKM (fraternity) as well as a map and mostly illegible sticker at the top of the shot. 0:48 - Newscast shows the time, 12:32AM, and the temperature, 63 degrees. 1:10 - graffiti on the roof, the first two letters at clearly visible, CR, the others are hard to make out and can be seen off and on for the next two seconds. 1:12 - briefly illuminated graffiti. It very likely says 1987 - 2004 ACE. 1:25 - A yellow sign is visible, as well as others that are tough to make out. 1:28 - A few more signs, one says for lease, another appears to have a phone number. 1:32 - A large sign, just before it gets destroyed, dead on, by Miss Liberty's noggin. I just got into all this investigating today after seeing the trailer before xformers sat, and the guy that sounds like he says "its a lion, its huge!" google images voltron (for those not familiar with voltron) He's a giant robotic feline basically :P but im looking further into this myself, trying to find this voltron coding in the text befor i get set on this being a voltron movie. Also, movies tend (not always) to show previews for other movies similiar to what you are about to see. So on that theory, voltron would be a good preview to show right be you see transformers :P but its 4am here, so who knows if im even in any ballpark :P oh yah, this is my first post :) hi!

Seriously, this movie has nothing to do with voltron. It only has a $30 million dollar budget! Also, those girls in the picture are NOT the same. Get over it. The Ethan Haas sites aren't related to this movie, people just assumed. There's no conspiracy. Those sites, from what i've seen, are for an upcoming computer game called Alpha Omega. Hell, even the puzzles and music were extremely reminiscent of the entire Myst series. Can't wait to see what J.J. has up his sleeve.

The "cloverfield" movie is not about some goofy lion, nor is it about some bogus chiwuluhuwi or whatever his name is, not based on a videogame, it's an original screen play. This is not a recreation of anything. The trailor was shot in California in early june. The effects in the trailor are not of finished qaulity. The trailor was shot without a finished script. Just small bits. This movie has nothing to do with "Ethan Haas"... Just wait until 18, January 2008. Then you can eat your hat!! :)

One was launched with the trailer in front of Transformers and the other was launched a day later. God Damn some of you are idiots. Chick on the left is white, and right is black. Look at the angle in which the lips go down. The white girls lip is drops quicker (mouth is narrow) than the black girls (mouth is wider). If you line the nose up the lips dont match, if you line the lips up the nose doesnt match.
