let me just say the best video game I've ever played is Resident Evil 4. Bar none. I played on the Gamecube and I just picked up the Wii version. Has held up great. Truly a masterpiece in gaming that set a new bar. If you own a Wii get Resident Evil 4. If you do not own a Wii but need a reason to get one there's a good reason. It's worth paying the $280 it would cost you for the system and the game. Yes it's that good. Or you can go pick up a used Gamecube for $60 and grab RE4 for $20 new. It's a must play game for any real gamer. End rant. lol.

I'm required to say that because one of the developers, along with a third party who I won't mention, took my WoW mod idea and made it a reality.

The future of gaming?
by Leopold Scotch
Jul 8th, 2007
06:48:26 AM
I'd love to believe that five or ten years from now, the best games will combine the best parts of today's best games. Eg. the scale of Oblivion (I don't know if it would be healthy to play a game much bigger), the visuals of Gears of War, the sheer coolness of God of War combos, the fluid character control of Prince of Persia/Assassin's creed, and the imagination and boldness of more advanced Wii games (all with the online features of Halo). Imagine a game with the best qualities of all of the above, but which also provides a cool role, like Spiderman or Star Wars.

Even so, the only way I can see this happening is if the industry experiences the same kind of revolutionary change that it did in the mid nineties, with the move to proper 3D gaming. And short of expecting new ways to view games (3D glasses, and headsets [lame]), any of hope of that lies with the leadership of the Wii and DS. Hopefully Nintendo won't completely disregard the gamer who isn't interested in minigames, microgames or non-games. Not that the Wii only has these types of games (there are already a number of good games with depth), but it's quickly picking up the stigma of not being a serious console which appeals to people "in the know". Given the lineup for the rest of the year, though, I hope some impressions are changed, and I realy hope Metroid and Mario Galaxy sell well to prove this point.

even though their 500 dollar plate is broken... and has to be replaced 30 percent of the time. nice way to screw people who love your games by releasing faulty hardware, making them wait for weeks on end to fix something that should just WORK... now we get what tommy boy referrs to as a "guaranteed piece of shit." a three year warranty on a system they KNOW will break on you, elite or not. classic. and nice way to abandon the people who loved your first system, that still had loads of potential and great games on the horizon. nice way to rush out those last games (advent rising COULD have been spectacular), and refurbish others(perfect dark, kameo) so that you can get a HEAD START on the "console war" by being first one outta the gate. nice. well... i guess the bright side of having a 360 is that it is disposable, like microsoft's last console, and that it will be broken before it is obsolete. that way, you can't make any money on a trade in.. oops, i mean.. that way you don't have to lug all of that plastic into a store and waste your valuable time standing in line for your fifty bucks for a system you paid 500 bucks for...well.. maybe more, since you bought all of those games, too... and extra controllers... and cables.. and.... and no more wasting wasting valuable storage space at video game stores with old consoles, space that could be holding the next gen... and next gen and the next and next and next. way to go, microsoft...stepping up to the plate, kings of fast food gaming. no wonder burger king sold so many of those EXCLUSIVE games. you know who your target audience is.

"...no problems. It's actually stopped locking up as much as it used to" - huh? Doesn't sound like no problems to me. Just because the thing didn't die a 3 ringed death like all the others? Whatever.

Combat, shame on you. Even though you may be right, it's generally X360 central/Sonyhaters unite in here. Even if you shove the typical MS treatment in their face, they'll only deny it. I love how MS are trying to put a postitive spin on this by emphasizing how much they 'care' for their customers. Nice. At least most of their customers are zealots. Makes the job easier. Note I don't hate the 360 or its games. I hate MS and their half-arsed sneaky ways.

As for myself I just wanted to say I can't stand it any more. When the fuck are we getting Galaxy? Come ON, Ninty. Aarrggh!

I never got RE4 for the cube, so I think I'll try it, Allpowerful.

Jae, it's a nice change to see you not spitting venom. Why trade the old one if it was fine though?

A question for 360 owners - why the loyalty?
by Cymbol
Jul 8th, 2007
09:06:17 AM
I didn't get a 360 after M$ just stopped support of the old X-Box I had. They simply stopped issuing games. At least Sony still releases games for the PS2 - good ones, like God of War 2. I was so put off by microsoft. I bought their console in 2004 and they had no new games after 2005. Bastards. So, I went and got a PS3. Glad I did after all my friends who have had the RROD. But my main question is, after 1 or more hardware failures, I still see so many 360 owners still so loyal to it. Even becoming hostile in talkbacks when anybody mentions it. Why defend so hard a product that is/was incredibly faulty for a company that didn't "care" till now - and only because they simply can't hide anymore. Just wondering.

Let's broaden that, why the loyalty to ANYONE?
by Horseflesh
Jul 8th, 2007
09:32:56 AM
Let's be honest, the makers of any console are in this for one reason and one reason alone - money. None of them are trying to do gamers any favors, none of them are trying to do the right thing, none of them are interested in being your best buddy. Sure they have PR departments and try to maintain an image by sometimes taking a loss to save face but at the end of the day it's still about the almighty dollar. Why have *loyalty* to ANY of these demons? Sure I've got my own opinions about MS, Sony and Big N, the good and bad decisions they've made this time around... but who cares? I'm a gamer, I wanna game. I could give a shit which box is pumping out the pixels, I want to play fun games.
I want ALL the consoles to do well because it means more great games are going to be made. Sure I get upset when a company makes some bad decision that enrages the community, but because that's bad for the community as a whole. Currently, from this gen, I only have a Wii and a 360 but a PS3 is in my future as soon as A) a price drop hits when I have the spare cash to blow on on blu-ray player or B) some games come out for it that I want. I have no doubt that I'll own one within the next year because there are gonna be games on it I want to play.
But back to my point, why the loyalty to ANY system? A good game is a good game and it's not evil just because it happens to be an exclusive. Or NOT an exclusive. I'm looking at YOU Devil May Cry 4 fanboys!

besides being cool for being the missing time bandit, horseflesh has a point about loyalty that i agree with. last gen i was fortunate to have all three systems, and enjoyed EACH for what they brought to the table. it definitely all comes down to the games. all i want is to enjoy my interactive experiences.... without having to return any of my machines because it won't let me play oblivion for more than 45 minutes at a time... but that's just my opinion. my gamecube, xbox and ps2 are all running just fine, and i have a great library of really cheap, and really GREAT games to choose from while they work the kinks out of the new systems. does "howaboutacup" actually have a ps3? because the progress that machine has made in the past few months is pretty damned impressive if you ask me. how is sony giving its users "nothing?" a growing library of online games and store bought titles, built in wi fi internet functionality, blu-ray and dvd playback in hi def and photos and video and music storage in a built in hard drive is "nothing?" wow. who's impatient and whiney.

360 "loyalty"

Microsoft is finally admitting that their systems are broken. Aside from recalling every system out there and replacing it, extending the warranty to three years and reimbursing people's charges is the absolute best thing they can do. And as far as being "loyal" to the 360...I personally enjoy gaming and the 360 has games. The PS3 just doesn't have anything that piques my interest as of yet. Lair may help with that, and a $100 price drop would certainly push things in the right direction as well. Oh, and I applaud you guys for being cordial in this talkback for the most part, it's refreshing to get a back and forth instead of a screaming match.

Because it has good games. End of. If it breaks, I'll send it away, just like I had to do with my Gamecube, GBA, and PSone and my crappy Motorola V600 a few years back.

I wonder how many of the people who are jumping all over this broken 360 crisis actually had a broken 360. Sure, there have been a lot of breakages, but the PS2 wasn't exactly 100% relable (incidentally, my 360 and PS2 have both been fine). Ask about loyalty to the person who has fifteen broken 360s, but remind yourself that they are in the significant minority.

Granted it did look good, but come on, I've seen better water effects on my out dated PC. As powerful as the PS3 is (and it is a powerhouse) the games are really dull. When the hell are they going to start getting games that really make the machine shine. Right now the XBOX games are looking damn good and that's what you get when the game designers put effort into what they're doing.

That's what you get when your game is optimized and exclusive to a particular system... and also when your ultiplatform game is built for that system and then half assedly ported to another more complicated one.

Anyway teh MS warranty extension is great for 360 owners who are unfortunately stuck with their malfunctioning consoles. I wanted to be an own-all-3 guy, but no way am I paying for an expensive POS-box. Call me when they can guarantee that it will work. Not guarantee that it will break down and inconvenience me multiple times in a row but at least they'll cover me. Fuck that!

And dear Nintendo, Twilight Princess is fucking awesome on the Wii! Please make more epic games and don't pander only to your fucking 'casual' audience.

I never understood blind loyalty either. I've been a PC gamer for 20 years, so I am naturally more inclined to building and tweaking my PC, but I'm not a fanboi of any particular company. I use the best parts that are in my price range. I always laugh when I read Xbox fans root for the failure of Sony and vice versa. That is the big stance they choose to make? Weird. I'd assume that only kids do this, but I would probably be wrong.

That dude admits that he simply *doesn't like* the Wii. He admitted as much in the Manhunt 2 article, and disagreed with pretty much every other member of the gaming press and said the non-interactive PS2 controls were more immerssive. I'm not saying he has no right to give an opinion on Nintendo because of that, or ripping on him for his opinion... it's just a fact.

But personally, I'm glad they didn't shoehorn some shitty deathmatch mode into the new Metroid Prime. Fuck that, Metroid Prime is NOT A FIRST-PERSON SHOOTER. I'm sick of all these idiots comparing it to Halo; they play completely differently. Just because MP3 is played from a first-person perspective and has guns in it, doesn't make it the same as Halo. The Metroid series has always been about being an engrossing, rewarding single-player experience, with much more of a focus on puzzle-solving and exploration than shooting.

Why fuck with Metroid by turning it into Counter-Strike, or Halo, or something? Why can't we just have another online FPS for the Wii, why do we have to force Metroid to change? UbiSoft is giving us a sequel to Red Steel, and it will surely be a much more polished product than the first, I would doubt that they wouldn't put some kind of online multiplayer in it. We're going to have our online games in time, so quit whining about Metroid Prime not havign an arbitrary, shitty multiplayer mode that everyone would hate, and thus trash the game for the shortcomings? I'm glad Retro Studios isn't trying to turn Metroid into the Wii's answer to Halo, and spent the time it would have taken to integrate online play on giving us a badass single-player experience.

Loyalty
by Cyan09
Jul 8th, 2007
04:40:04 PM
I have no loyalty to any of the big 3 companies on a fan boy basis, but I do develop a strong loyalty to one system out of each console generation. Microsoft has yet to win me over. I started out gaming on the SNES and Genesis because my friends all loved Nintendo and my extended family loved Sega games. I was all set to buy a N64 until I realized that it was overpriced compared to the PS1, which was more impressive with its in game CG movie cutscenes. It also had a much wider selection of games that I was interested in. The ps2 was the logical choice for me in the next generation due to its massive library of games and the fact that the XBOX only had FPS games as decent exclusives, and I have always preferred the PC for FPS. Halo is a great series, but I just hate aiming with joysticks. I eventually bought a GC when it hit $100 so that I could get the Nintendo exclusives like Mario Kart and Smash Bros, good multiplayer games. Between the PS3 and 360, right now the 360 looks better simply because the same games are on both systems and the 360 is cheaper. I refuse to buy either right now, simply because I am waiting for the exclusive titles and they are much too expensive to buy both, and as a college student I don't have a high def setup most of the year. I did purchase a Wii, several actually, and I meant to sell them all last fall but I ended up getting drunk and opening one. Best impulse decision I have ever made. The PS360 only offer graphical upgrades, but the Wii makes games more fun with new controls. I should have known after wasting my money on a psp when I only ever play the DS. Its just more fun, and has more and better games. New Wii games can be found for $30 on ebay. Now that I'm in college I don't play games 24/7, so I would rather have fun controls I can pick up and play than graphical power. With component cables on my 61" DLP tv at home the games look good enough that I'm not in any hurry to move up to the PS360 expense. The only benefit would be BluRay on the PS3, but I want to see which format wins before I sink money into HD movies. Thats why this console generation my loyalty goes to Nintendo. Now I need to get back to the amazing controls schemes of SSX and RE4. Have fun with your $60 FPS games that would control and look better on the PC.
My broken 360 and brand loyalty...

Okay, here's the story. First of all, I'm not loyal to ANY particular system. I just go with which one has the best games. And right now, X360 has the best games at the best price. (also, I got a really good deal for trading in my old XBox) But here's the problem that I've had recently. I've had an X360 for 6 months now and have loved it: no real problems, except for the LOUD fan. However, I just upgraded to HD and as soon as I played one game, Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, everything went ker-flooey! Red-rings of death, error-message screen, etc. Luckily I was still in warranty, thank you EBgames for the FREE extended warranty, so I took it back and exchanged it with no problem. All's well that ends well, right? WRONG! The new unit died on me immediately, too! XB Tech support told me it was a "bad AV cord", but I doubt it. Anyone else have this problem? Does the X360 actually work with HD? Or is it just a bad AV cord? Seriously, standard def, 480p, no problem; HD 720p = Dead! Anyone with a similar story or suggestions? Also, I've read that X360 is getting two exclusive content downloads for GTA IV, and that MS paid $50 million for the rights; true or not? If the price drops on PS3 and they actually get some games that I'm interested in playing, then I'll probably buy one, but in the meantime, I stick with my (broken) 360.

Achievements are great for the game industry because they keep you playing mediocre games. I'd get a Wii if I could find one (I really want those damn Turbografx-games) and I'd love to have a PS-3 (though I'll probably end up getting a stand-alone BD-player first) Until then, Halo-3 looks like their doing the achievement-system the right way, i.e. working it so that you're more compelled to get them in-game/naturally rather than 20 such & such bullshit here or there. 360's got the games & online-play for now (plus getting achievements can be as addictive as hell) and I really appreciate the 3 year deal but at the of the day....fuck Microsoft

Got my 360 a week after release and it is still cranking smoothly(albite a little loudly). I have gotten the red rings every now and then, but all that was needed was a power down and to take all cords out from back of box and plug them back in. Good to go. Hard drive keeps on trucking too even with all the content downloads, demos, movies, and other thing I have gotten and deleted and no problems as of yet. Hell I have my computer hooked up to it on the network so I can stream music and even movies I have downloaded and are sitting on my hard drive. Its cool as shit. Halo 3 is gonna rock the balls off of any other thing to come out this year. Halo has the best multiplayer component of any first person shooter in a while. I would say since Team Fortress mod for original Quake. The weapon balance is perfect(Halo 3 beta was amazing and still being tweaked as we speak) the maps are well designed, and vehicles are a blast to drive. I can't afford to get any of the other systems(I sure as hell would if I could) , so I am glad I got the one with the best games. Hopefully the price drop will help pull the PS3 out of the dumpster. Competition is always good for the end user.

I always hear people saying the only good "real" game the Wii has is Zelda. Hasn't anyone played Super Paper Mario? That game was great. I was kind of upset it was an RPG like the earlier games in the series, but damned if it wasn't a whole lot of fun, and fairly lengthy, too. The only drawback is the bosses are a total pushover. Other than that, though, it comes highly recommended for people looking for Wii games to play.

I was a Sony nut! I don't know why people side with one over the other I guess you just go with your team like football(which is shit)

Anyway I was C64 over Spectrum, Amiga over Atari ST, Megadrive over Saturn, Playstation over Nintendo and PS2 over XBOX and I bought a gamecube to play Resident Evil on then gave the kiddy cube away BUT. . . The length of time Sony was taking to deliver the PS3 and the fact I desperately wanted to experience Next-Gen made me give in to my better judgement and buy a Microsoft machine in Jan 2007

It's July and I'M ON MY THIRD MACHINE!!!

Initially I was happy with the games - Gears of War, Vegas and Crackdown are some of the best games I've had the pleasure of playing but the machine SUX! It sounds like a fucking jet engine taking off! Looks like a breadbin and has the build quality of a citroen 2 CV!

I can't get loyal to this machine! No matter how hard I try it just doesn't endear its self to me. The first casualty started making grinding noises with certain disks, It scraped and chundered like it was having a chomp at the software until one day as I was jumping like a nutter for another Orb it completely Gored my copy of Crackdown and seized up the machine. I took the game back to the store - GAME (I now hate this store) the manager, a woman in her late 50's with about as much gaming experience as my Mam = 0! laughed and said ''Wow! that's the worst scratched disk I ever saw! (in fact it drew a crowd) but we can't do anything about it because we and Microsoft don't recognise that particular fault, how did you have your XBoxes positioned sir?

Anyway I didn't want to send my ShitBox off to have it replaced because my mate said when his fucked up(red ring of doom!) he got some old scratched second hand unit back that worked but was obviously someone elses reconditioned machine, Game wouldn't replace it because it didn't scratch the disk they tried in it and wouldn't give me my money back so I was left to play Russian roulette with my Games and DVDs until it ate Perfect Dark Zero and my kids copy of Nemo and I thought enough is enough! I went ApeEscape in the store til they replaced the machine and phoned Microsoft Help(joke)line to be told I could send my scratched disks off and they'd be replaced but it would cost an additional £10 per title! Anyway bollox to that I rented and finished Crackdown but then a few months later my new machine decides to start taking the piss and constantly eject the tray every time you close it, it pops out!!! Put a game in, out it pops! Hilarious! Once again we are sorry sir Microsoft doesn't recognise this fault! but at least when I take it to the Store there's no denying it's knackered and the woman there simply returns after testing it and says ''Yip, it's posessed!''

So!... I'm now on my third machine! I'm playing Colin McCrays DIRT which is the nuts! but I'm sitting like a nervous wreck on the edge of my seat, not because of the sheer drop to one side as I rally round a mountain (the games not quite that good!) but because I know that at any moment my expensive noisy, toasty hot Bill Gates mantoy will inevitably chuck a mental and start doing strange things huge companies don't recognise!

In closing and I feel I've really vented on this one (but god it feels good!)All the machines and consoles I ever owned including 1 Apple Mac(woops!) and 4 PC's have served me well over the years with absolutely no problems whatsoever! (except blue sparks shooting out the back of my Amiga but that was because Roger decided to stick a paper clip in the back after a bonghit and is a whole other story!)

I'm holding out for Halo 3. I played 1 and 2 on PC and managed to avoid the previous XBox machine and after my second 360 went wonky I dusted off the old PS2 which now sits proudly alongside the Beige Breadbin of Doom, Just in case and has actually delivered some real treats recently like God of War2 so as soon as I'm done with Masterchief I'll try and swap my XPox for a bit off a SonyPS3 and will hopefully never have to live in fear again.

Super Paper Mario

This game is the center of my theory that Mario games get a free ride on quality these days. I think I am one of the only people that HATED Super Paper Mario.

Okay on the good side, the game is beautiful, it's got TONS of character and personality and the whole level flip mechanic was a fantastic idea. Using multiple characters gives you more to work with.

The bad? This game is BORING. I mean wake your mamma snorin' BORIN'! Sure the level flip is cool but it's used is such weak ways! I got to level 5 and the challenge level still felt like it was set at "Moron". Gee a dead end, I BET I FLIP AGAIN! YAAAY!

Controls? Please. I understand that this was once a Gamecube title and they wanted to make it a little more Wii but using the remote to point at things on screen feels completely tacked on and forces us to hold that tiny controller sideways throughout the entire game. Why not give me the option to use the Classic controller to play this? Maybe then when I want to change characters I could hit a shoulder button instead of paging through a menu, completely stopping the action, or lack there of. Where's the usual Mario platforming challenge? This feels more like an RPG that they wanted to LOOK like an action game, not play like one. This is one of the problems I had with Twilight Princess as well - no challenge.

And while the presentation is top notch, there's too MUCH of it. My GOD these characters never shut up and these lengthy character conversations are brought to you in bold, fascinating... text. Wee. Scrolling text. Again. For 20 minutes. Nintendo, check your calendars. It's not 1989 anymore.

Like I said, I got to level 5 and called it quits because I couldn't take the mediocrity anymore. Every review I've seen for this game says something like "well some of the levels are boring and the talking gets dull and the controlls could be better - 9.5!!! BEST GAME EVAR!" I'm here to call bullshit. This game should not get a pass just because it's got an Italian plumber in it. As far as I'm concerned this game is a 7.5 on a good day and a 6.5 as soon as you get over the pretty graphics and presentation. It's dull, it's simple, and it's not worthy of being a Mario platformer. And it's CERTAINLY not worthy of all the praise it's getting.
Mario and the 360

I might just rent Paper Mario then I think. I've read too many middling reviews but I do love Mario games (hanging out for Galaxy) and the design style (still think the first Yoshi's Island was great). Horseflesh nailed the text thing. What, the Wii can't handle speech??! On the other hand with the level of literacy on these boards as much exposure to text from a young age as possible may be a good thing. I keed because I love.

That's probably the worst thing about the 360. What are we - a year, year & a half in? There are some GREAT games. The machine itself though? Great power and architecture but it's sort of important that the thing not turn into a crashed aeroplane engine. I don't understand why people aren't screaming blue murder like they do at Sony. I mean fair's fair. People are acting like it's a 3% failure rate, not 30. Maybe that's hype but when authorised repairers abandon the thing left right and centre subsidised or not something's horrendously wrong. If you're talking business not fanboy, anything over 10% (being generous here) is looked on as a complete fucking disaster and the company would go under if it wasn't such a behemoth. And all to get the jump on their competitors.

Don't be too hard on the Mac Filmfunk. It sure is shit for games (if you don't specialise in 3d however for work it's great and bloody WORKS...) but remember Halo started there before the almighty wallet of Bill Gates descended on Bungie. Also as for what DigitalDong (what an appropriate name) said, sure it's been on phones for years but you'd have to be an imbecile to try to USE those shitty cut-down browsers for any length of time. Jesus Christ! ;D

BTW who thinks the Mario and Sonic game will be shite? Not usually a naysayer but...

Hee hee hee, the Mario and Sonic game!

I know lots of guys who have 360s. Not a single one of them have had to be replaced. Hell, I have lots and lots of people on my friends list that I converse with often and not a one of them has had a damaged machine. It is not as bad as you fucks have said. Making up stories. Hell I own a PS3 and it fucked up 4 times on me and I hate the fucking games on it, I just wish the damn thing would stay working for 30 minutes at a time. See how easy it is.
JaggedSac, I went through three 360's in three weeks.

The first one, bad out of the box, same with the second. They both had major disc read issues. My 3rd one is fine - so far. A LOT of people I know and work with have had issues. I dunno about anyone else but I ain't making up stories.

The 360's technical problems have be well documented by editors of various wesites, and those in the general public alike. The red ring of death and the scratches do exist. It's not really an attack on the system by reporting of Microsoft's huge fuckup, it's merely aggravated users voicing their ...uh... aggravation. My friend is on his third system, his buddy is on his second, and it hasn't been a year since they bought their first one yet.

Honestly, I'm glad WoW killed my console gaming habit because I'd go nuts over a system that cost that much breaking down on a regular basis. Whether it be the 360 or the PS3.

Just got the 3rd one yesterday and it seems to be working fine, so far. I exchanged the A/V cord, also, so we'll see if that makes a difference. I haven't played any discs in HD yet with the new one, just XLive game downloads. So maybe it'll explode on me tonight; please don't crash, please don't crash, please don't crash....

Obviously Jagged Sac knows a hundred and fifty thousand x-box owners! Whatever.

If MS really wanted to do the right thing by their customers they'd replace faulty boxes with not a retrofitted "Elite" or a jury-rigged original but the 65n Falcon boxes due later this year (tied with a ribbon and a big "Sorry we screwed you" in a heart-shaped card). I know they're in a no-win situation as the poor owners can't and shouldn't wait that long but surely the new architecture is better than trying to tie the old ones up with bailing wire. Even the little cooling vanes on the Elite seem a bit like a stop-gap. Apparently the Elite is much quieter though. Can anyone weigh in on that?

I'm waiting for the REAL new version of the 360 at which time I too will be platform agnostic in practice not just theory.

Horseflesh good choice.

You know it's just the way it is. I don't want to debate in my mind which one is better. It's just best to call it day buy all 3 and have fun. Fuck it. Now we are both out of the war. Go pick up the HD-DVD add on for the $199 and just be done with it. What have you got to lose really? A couple hundred dollars? Can't take it with you after all. I was honestly against buying a Sony product but after the price drop I called up Gamestop and they lowered the price of their 20 gig PS3 down to $349 and that was it for me. I don't need the memory ports for uploading photos and music and I don't need the wifi because I do not own a PSP. For $349 I picked up a cheap blu-ray player in my mind and got a PS3 to boot. And if I REALLY want or need more space I can add on a 500 gig external Hard Drive from Buy.com for $99.

As far as the Xbox360 goes I went with the Elite. Newer edition of the 360 and with the 3 year warranty fuck it. Also I will get more use out of that hard drive then I would with the PS3 since I use my PC more for gaming and I can sync it up. I have a mac G4 that I use for music so I am covered. Now I can sit back and enjoy my systems and not worry about choice.

One side note in all fairness if I have a choice between buying a movie on HD-DVD or Blu-Ray for now I will still chose the HD-DVD format only because the quality appears to be a bit better but for those exclusives I cannot get on their format then I am covered with the Blu-Ray ;-)

It's nice to be out of the war lol. And Lair sure does look like a sweet fucking game!
