that they REALLY expanded DeNiro's char for the movie. Is it becasue it was for the movie or because it's DeNiro? Like I mentioned in an earlier StarDust TB, the pirate char isn't really that big of a part and in fact, it's hinted that the lady who mends Yavin's(sp?) wounds is indeed the pirate's wife. so has this totally been excercised from the movie or what? I really want to hear a review of someone who's RECENTLY read the book, loves the story, and has seen the movie. Is this a good adaptation with expanded parts for minor char. or have they screwed around with the char. but kept the theme's and the plot points?

I first read Stardust in 2001, when I heard that book was going to be optioned, fuck... I cannot fucking wait to see this and hope that it helps move Neverwhere as another Gaiman book to be made. I dug out my Stardust book today, I'm going to reread it in the next several weeks. Can't. Fucking. Wait.

But Sandman, now THERE's another story!

At some point before this comes out, I'll be reading the book. I'm somewhat of an almost-fan of Gaiman. Loved his Babylon 5 episode, love his Sandman work, loved his work with Terry Pratchett on Good Omens, not really feeling the love for his novels yet. I keep trying though, he seems like a really cool guy.
