am really looking forward to this, but I really really dislike Clarie Danes. she works with talented actors and directors but just to me sucks. Maybe this will be the movie to make me change my mind, but of course I said that about the Rainmaker too...and the movie where she was in a Filipino or Twaniese jail

I had a blast last night at the show. Even as enjoyable as the flicks were the trailers. I wish there was some sort of list of all of them that played.
Way to go...

I absolutely love that show. Since I like it, it is in danger of being cancelled now. I am looking forward to seeing the StarDust movie as well. The trailers got me interested and the review above seemed positive enough.

Brad Bird has confirmed that Pixar will use both live action and animation for the planned "John Carter of Mars" adaptation, and that he won't be directing. (Darkhorizons) spose Harry will be producing. i guess hes just keeping it underwraps and waits untill all the other websites cover this then he'll tell us.

I haven't read the source material but the trailer looks silly with the guy going on about a two headed dog, thats good dialogue? And the chick shooting green magic in his mouth and the typical plot of some wicked witch trying not to grow old and flying pirates. Just don't get it? Maybe when I see it I'll change my mind, who knows.

That is one of THE most overrated movies in film history, and when I saw the trailer for this, that's exactly what came into mind. It even appears to have DeNiro playing the Mandy Patinkin role. God, dear God, I hope there aren't lines in this thing that people will be quoting for decades, like that stupid "you killed my father, prepare to die" horseshit. I swear, nobody knows how to make a fantasy film without fucking something up Hollywood style. Even Jackson wasn't impervious to it.

SEVEN BLOWS OF THE DRAGON

The original title of this is THE WATER MARGIN, and it's available on non-bootleg DVD from Image Entertainment. There's a love scene with nudity in the English-dubbed SEVEN BLOWS verion that's missing from the Hong Kong version - that footage is presented as a deleted scene on Image's disc.

Don't get too excited kiddies. We live in a world where excrement like FF2 does well with slack jawed middle America... anything that requires ANYTHING of the viewer struggles.....

Gosh darn baby goat chariot picture still strikes me as the worst possible first image to come out of this. It's actual weighty evil has already been rammed down my throat by all the Gaiman fans, but c'mon! For those of us who haven't read it, the wittle, bitty, cutey baby goats carting around Goth Pfeiffer made us pre-judge this flick in the worst possible way. It might be awesome, but when I see it, the whole flick is going to working against the momentum of that one lame image.
They must have REALLY padded the screenplay....

I read the book and don't remember half the stuff that's in the trailer from it. Epic? The book was a wispy thing, all filled with whimsical cuteness and as memorable and substantial as a twinkie. Turning it into an Tolkienesque saga must have been hard work.

Way to go - judging a movie purely based on the fact you don't like the husband of the scriptwriter. You contribution here is so VERY valuable - thank you for taking so much of your valuable time to share your thoughts. Now fuck off back to your A.D.D. session.
