I watched the press conference the other day announcing this but Andy and Larry were no where to be bound - I mean found. I wonder if Larry went all the way with the sex change and now is afraid that a transexual directing a G rated movie will be looked down upon.

Like, for instance, Rain would be great as Snake Oiler. I'd like to see Inspector Detector, the Car Acrobatic Team, and - in a perfect dream world - the Mammoth Car.

Okay, so I'm a geek, but Speed Racer was a unique program, and I'm hoping for a unique spin.

Yes, I meant the picture. It does look nice in the vid, though.

Kurdt: That doesn't look even remotely like the batmobile, other than the fact that it has four wheels. It would be like saying a Corvette looks like a Mustang. Burtons B-Mobile has a straight front end with an inset turbine, longer chassis, enclosed cockpit, and large tailfins. The M5 is shorter, a trimaran front-end, tiny superficial tailfins and an open cockpit.

Money's on Johnny Rocket. Far superior to HW or Matchbox, and they seem to do alot of movie licenses. Speaking of matchbox, remember when they were on those "rotissere" displays at toy stores, and you told them which one you wanted, and they'd give it to you from behind the counter in a little box?

nothing says family fun like a movie written by a dude and his sister who used to be his brother and is now hooked up with a dominatrix. This will probably suck like the last two matrix movies. Spoiler: Racer X is Speed's brother who had a sex change... "X" chromosome... open your eyes people.

Frankly, unless Favreau (and ILM) surpass themselves, once the teasers-trailers are out the Wachowski Bros will blow the competition out of the water. These guys made Matrix. Whether we like it or not, they're visually gifted. A PG movie with oscar cast for the audience and top-notch CGI = Box Office gold.

Are you AICN oafs really THAT clueless that you don't realize this is a weak CGI render? We keep pointing it out, you keep updating with higher resolution bad CGI renders. The aliasing on the wheel well, the broken shadows, the plastic windshield, and the complete lack of sub-detail ANYWHERE are just the most obvious things that give it away. Sheesh, guys. Just say it's a concept render. Why the games?
