I love me some Bio-Dome. I love all Pauly Shore's movies. Yeah, that's right. I am not ashamed. I love that he's actually quite ugly but gets all the hot women in his movies. I love that IN THE ARMY NOW was the only movie that I didn't want to kill Andy Dick in. I love that Lori Petty was almost hot in that movie. But not quite. I love BIO-DOME. It is the stupid person's CITIZEN KANE. You can't say that about any Mike Judge movies, because although they look simple, they are too clever to be stupid. Leave BIO-DOME alone. I mean it.

Whether everyone else is being ironic or not - I really love both those movies. There's no subtext - they're not trying to be anything other than funny, one-liner filled, bombastic big fuckin' action movies. Elsewhere, SUPERMAN RETURNS tried to be a Christ allegory, NARNIA tries to be LOTR but fails, GHOST RIDER tries to be coherent... The BAD BOYS flicks are what they say they are: big fuck-off action summer blockbusters. Why can't anyone just enjoy them for that? If you don't like Michael Bay's movies, DON'T FUCKIN' WATCH THEM!!! And that from a major Bay fan, who absolutely HATED Pearl Harbor. Did y'all just call me a tick???

That's what I don't get. What do these people expect, Shakespeare? Patrick Stewart will never appear in a Bad Boys movie, that's for damn sure. They're for people who like to see shit blow up, fast car chases, beautifully framed perving over fetishistic machinery, more shit blowing up, and the holy trinity of Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and Joe Pantoliano. If you want deep, go watch The Fountain - which is amazing, but does not have a scene where Martin Lawrence drinks out of a vase. More's the pity.

The first time I ever saw Teri Hatcher onscreen was the dancing scene in TANGO & CASH. Now every time I here Yazoo's "Don't Go" I get a hard-on. She looked spectacular in that movie. TANGO & CASH is the ultimate guilty pleasure action movie. Just a whole helluva lot of fun. I absolutely love it, and by dint of that, the BAD BOYS movies. If you love one, you HAVE to love the other. Ipso facto, check your brain at the door for a six-pack and a pizza, kick back and just enjoy. These movies are for unreconstructed watching. Enjoy.

Usually in a BAy movie, I have no clue what is going on during the action scenes. You can't tell the good from the bad and you wind up with a massive headache. But you have to respect a guy who can make millions of dollars by giving people headaches. Well done, Mr. Bay.
