For once. I seriously hope they re-introduce Venom in the next film and do his character justice. Actually, I hope they film SPIDER-MAN 4 and 5 back-to-back and have a large story involving Venom, Carnage and possibly the Lizard. That'd be sweet, but it probably won't happen.

Spider-man 3 was an epic fucking mess and living proof that studios don't give a rat's asshole about investing in a good script. Something like 3 years after the excellent spidey 2 and all we get is a cameo from venom and a boatload of sentimental bullshit that'd make spielberg blush? Please! Everyone's too busy blowing their loads over the fact we got to see venom for all of 20 mins, that they aren't realising the script was something Uwe Boll would've refused to wipe his ass with. Who's in charge at sony? They should have their fucking head examined for letting Raimi and his hack of a brother write a movie of this size. Where was Alvin sargent? Did they him tied up or drugged while they were writing all the lame dialogue and under developed plot points and character arcs? The only way this "franchise" should be continued is under new direction and with all new actors. I like Sam but he's always been a director with a lack of self controll and he's shown that again gradually over the course of these three films (culminating in that fucking dance number and 10min "evil peter" montage). Fresh blood!

I'd have to say it's The Mighty Molecule. What is the point in reading a story that you obviously care not a wit about and then taking a dump on the people who participated in this contest?

These people actually CREATED something, and to you it's all shit. Well, you are certainly entitled to your opinion. But I would suggest two things, Mighty, that might serve you well throughout your life: 1)Follow this rule--if you can't say something nice, say nothing at all; 2)Fuck off.

Congratulations to the winner, and best regards to all those who gave it their best. And a tip of the hat to Quint for giving these contestants your time and efforts.

It still begs the question, If you don't truly give a shit, why come in here in the first place? To prove you hated SM3? Check, got it. You're a real rebel with that opinion.

I was gonna have The Bi Show as Rhino, and his look would be similar to Juggernaut in X3 minus th fake abs. The horn was gonna be a implant and with a scar around the forehead and up the side, sorta like baseball stitching. I was thinkig of some sort of wrist shields that were bulletproof.

There was this, and Gwen Stefani as the Black Cat, but that character, I knew would be overdone, and there's not much in terms of look, that you need or would want to change. So there was no need to bother.

First, quit bitching about Spiderman 3. We get it. You didn't like the film. Move on. Some of us thought it held up to the previous two installments. I agree with the winning entry here both because it looks awesome and because Carnage would be the best villain for Spidey 4. This way, you can reintroduce a revived Venom, first as Spidey's opponent again, and then have the two have to team up against Carnage. This way, you'll satisfy all the whiney bitches who just wanted to see 2 hours of Venom saying sentences with the "we" pronoun, and we can really spend a little more time exploring the nature of the black suit. All this is still contingent on tying these plots somehow to a universal theme that relates to what's happening in Peter Parker's life, like the previous 3 films have done beautifully. But I must admit, I'd never think to cast Jessica Beal as Black Cat, but I loved the look of this entry. Great job on the costume. It'd totally work for the movie. Also, Russell Crowe looked surprisingly awesome in that Kraven image. I also like meltedface's suggestion of Oded Fehr as Kraven. That one is dead-on, dude. I'm against the idea of them using characters like The Lizard, because I don't think the character would work for these films. The Vulture's not a terrible idea though only if they have a strong mortality theme running through the film. Maybe Aunt May is dying or something and Peter is desperate to find a way to save her. That could work. I liked the idea of Larry David as The Vulture, provided he was aged a little more. James Marsters could maybe play his younger self. Also, a friend suggested Bruce Campbell playing Mysterio and establishing that it's no accident he pops up as different character's in Spidey's life. I thought that was kind of a neat idea. But yeah, my top suggestion is to go the Carnage route while resurrecting Venom. And throw in Black Cat to also assist Spidey & Venom cause she's hot.

I like meltedfacetoht's Kraven the best, Oded Fehr is inspired casting. I did a combo drawing of three bad guys because Quint posted "specific character team-ups (Secret Six style) is fine, too." I'm not a big Spidey comic nerd, but I enjoy the character and the movies. Now, I never fully got Kraven, but I gather he's a hunter bent on capturing/killing Spider-Man, which seems rather odd for a movie. Would it be too much of a canon change if a large lizard is terrorizing NY, and Kraven is called in by the authorities to track him down, but in reality he's there with his own agenda to hunt Spider-Man. This would create two Buffy-esque issues, where Spidey would have to make sure Kraven doesn't get the Lizard, since he knows it's really Dr. Conners, and he would have have to deal with fighting and possibly killing Kraven, a skilled but superpower-less opponent.

Just got around to seeing Spidey-3 last night. What junk. It's the same movie as the other 2! Spidey cries. MJ is an asshole, and goes off w/ another guy. Hatty's dad makes an appearance. Spidey cries. New Villain introduced. MJ is kidnapped and strung up. Spidey cries. Spidey comes in and fights new villains. REscues MJ. Spidey cries. New villains die and we feel bad for them. Oh, and did I mention? Spidey cries. Bullshit. Gimme an hour less, and just have him stop a crime wave against The Rhino!
Too many lizards and vultures done already

Problem w/ the lizard is that it's been done too many times already. From the V-Raptors in JP, to the baby G's in Godzilla, to the Dinosaurs in, well, Henson's Creature Shop show, Dinosaurs!. Shit, you even gotta throw props at the Sleestak. And I think that no matter how you dress up the Vulture, it'll end up looking like the Skeksis. Go w/ The Rhino. Other than Henrietta Hippo on New Zoo Review and Peter Potamus, I don't see many non-elephant pachyderms represented.

The best one though would have to be Russel Crowe as Kraven the Hunter. Great job by that dude. Although at this point I dont know if you could get Crowe to don a loincloth. So in his stead I suggest maybe King Leonidas hisself Gerard Butler.

as the two baddies for 4 in one of the earlier Spidey TBs, and my story treatment was okay, IMO. Lizard wouldn't even be a "bad" guy per se--Dr. Connors would just be like a dangerous element on the loose. I like the Russell Crowe version of Kraven above, but I would suggest that dude who played Leonidas in 300.

The Vulture. First, I think it's clear that Raimi should be the director if another one is done but that the third Spider-Man kind of proves that he's a bit uncomfortable with less-human villains like Venom. Making The Vulture an actual, human-sized vulture would still be less than human and, worse, a betrayal of the comics. Even though he's an old man in the comics, I doubt an audience would accept that old of an actor in the part and realistically I doubt an actor of that age could pull it off. Middle-ground is someone in his fifties and Keaton (in spite or because of his "Batman" history) would be an interesting choice. He'd certainly bring pathos to it, a very entertaining cavalier and a lot of energy that, frankly, has been lacking in all the movie villains save for the still-flawed Goblin portrayal of Willem Dafoe.

Great job, all. Either Kraven or the Lizard are probably the best choices for the next movie though. I'd like to see them get back to focusing on one villain per film. Not a symbote though. Venom would probably be better used in a spin off movie rather than another Spidey sequel.
