Brandon Routh? Best Actor?

I mean, I know science fiction isn't known for great performances, but come on, dig a little deeper guys. He was okay, at most just did an acceptable Chris Reeve impersonation. Clive Owen was much better in his thankless role in Children of Men.

There were 2 Masi Okas there? What, was one from the future?

Superman Returns? Seriously?

Superman Returns was a better Fantasy film that Dead Man's Chest? Brandon Routh's acting tops Daniels Craig's? Bryan Singer's direction is better than EITHER Del Toro or Cuaron? Superman Returns was better written than Pan's Labyrinth? Is this a joke? Who the hell votes for these awards? A panel of eight-year olds?

for Tideland. Her performance is really that special. I was with the whole report, sounded GREAT, all the way up until SR won for best writing. Really??? It was the worst written film of the year last year....oh and Olmos needs to STFU; BSG can and probably will go on for years longer without his presence. Just imo of course.

These awards have No credibility. NONE. Superman Returns wasn't best at anything, except possibly as a cure to insomnia.

Wait, they're making a Fear Effect movie?

Like based off of the videogame Fear Effect or just with the same name? I don't play many videogames any more, and most of them are pretty forgettable, but that game sticks out in my mind as having a great plot (a rarity) to adapt to film. Why isn't there an article about this or have I missed it?
How is that the complete list of Saturn Awards?
by DoctorTom

The list totally skipped any of the awards for written stories (novels, novelettes, short stories, etc) - the reason they started giving out Saturn awards in the first place - so how is that list 'complete'?

I thought the robots were called Huey Duey and Louie or Drone # 1, 2 or 3. Is there another Silent Running with robots that I'm not aware of?

The show had something for everybody! I was lucky to snag a ticket again... and it was the time of my life. There were not only actors/actresses from all the top shows, but were enough character actors, famous faces, cult figures that even the most discerning film fan would be excited to see. And they all really ENJOYED being there. Plus, virtually everyone BEHIND the scenes was in attendance -- and I got to chat with Richard Donner. Plus, there were so many hotties for males and females alike. Where else can you see Admiral Adama and Quinton Collins clammoring for cool giftbags with The Ghost Whisperer and Danny Trejo and DWIGHT from the Office...

Oh, and Tobor is a classic silly-looking but COOL robot from a b-movie... there was a Silent Running drone there as well. Plus, the 100-page program book had a cool cover by an artist named RAGNAR -- which looks like a melding of art deco, retro-50s mixed wtih an Amazing Story cover.
Glad you enjoyed it!

I was truly honored to have a hand on a show of this magnitude. Like you said, you really have to see it to believe it. It's not a "fan" event and it's not a "commercialized" butt-kisser... everyone who came was so genuine. The peeps from HEROES were a blast. They love their fans and love their show. And young Noah ("Micah") had wide eyes throughout. And come on! Having Dwight and Pam from "The Office" present to Heroes and Galactica was like you said, "OUT OF THIS WORLD."

Yeah... and James Gunn from Slither is a total GEEK in the best sense of the word! He makes that mean something to him -- plus he's got Jenna Fischer -- oo-la-la! And the entire Slither gang are so cool and a real tight-knit bunch -- Michael Rooker and Nathan Fillion -- the new odd couple. Nathan's a super guy and deserves to be a superstar...

... was a real sport! She was ribbed by the best of 'em Jeff Ross... er, actually Greg Grunberg... and took it and dished some back. You don't see that on the Golden Globes. ;)

Ok, not as bad as Spidey 3, but it still was pretty damn stupid, and had a totally weak Lex Luthor, with thanks to Kevin Spacey for doing the best he could with the utter-shit he was given.
