I liked the original, and cant wait for this sequel. But in reality, I think 28 weeks is too short to declare the place safe after an outbreak like that. Good thing its only a movie.

...this review makes me a little less cautious about this film. I'm still not convinced we needed a sequel. And a Land of the Dead comparison immediately predisposes me to expect the worst. But the description of the premise and action sounds promising.

was it was the anti-horror zombie film. Less about scares (it had them, obviously) and more about the best and worst of humanity in a crisis. It had a heart. So I got nervous when I heard they wanted to bring Jim back in a cameo as an infected! Fuck that noise!

Seriously, an entire country of about 60 million is wiped out in about 28 days and after seven months its declared safe to go back? That was a well thought out plan for sure. However any movie that lets me see WMD's being used on pseudo zombies will get my money.
