the first 4 scripts. Takes like nine months or something from approved script to airable episode.

I will have to make do with the fantastic season 2 DVD.

Hulk Hands on Monarch (Hate Floats) and the "prostate check" in Love Beits. The world doesn't know what it's missing with the Venture Brothers. The AS Network ought to be shot for making the Aqua Teen movie before doint a full length Venture Bros flick. (Sigh)
I hope my Season 2 DVD arrives today.

with the henchmen and the jet belts, and the Franco American reference. Entertainment Weekly this week had a little sidebar blurb alongside the ATHF review that stated the same..where's the Venture movie??!! And on the subject of Adult Swim, any word on the Tom Goes To The Mayor DVD COMPLETE series. This baby will be a collectors item.
I skipped through several episodes of my DVD copy

I can't wait to watch those suckers. I also can't wait for the live-action Venture Brothers movie (a suggestion). I just wonder who would play Doctor Girlfriend?
Live Action? Who would play Doctor Girlfriend?

How is that not cool news? I admit Smallville is a hit and miss show with primarily a bunch of misses, but Linda Carter is guest starring. I'd think that would be worth at least a post Herc!

He looks like him, and guess what, he sounds like him too. Rene Zwelleger as Dr Girlfiend, Arhnold as Baron Underbieht, and Ed Norton as The Monarch. Bring on the live movie now!

Sorry dude, only Kevin Spacey could really pull off the Monarch. On the other hand, I really wouldn't like to see a live action VB. I think it would be a let-down. How's about a CG movie done in IMAX-3D? That would kill.

Dr. Thaddeus S. Venture - Stanley Tucci Brock Sampson - Patrick Wharburton Hank & Dean - Give a couple of unknown teen actors a shot Dr. Orpheus - Steve Corell (sp?)

The Monarch - Michael McDonald (of Mad TV) Dr. Girlfriend - Pick a starlet w/ some comic timing and dub in Doc Hammer The Henchmen - I like the idea of 'stunt casting' famous folk as henchmen only to get killed seconds later as 21 & 24 (w/ thier original voices look/comment on)

How about Anthony Hopkins as Dr Killinger! And Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith as 21 and 24!!

Just a thought :)

Then, I think, it becomes less of a cultural celebration/satire and more of a wink-n-nudge fest. Too much like that "Austin Powers" self-parody w/ Tom Cruise as Austin, Spacy as Dr. Evil.. etc. A funny joke, but not for a whole movie of a show that nails pop-parody with each frame. THAT is why I think the most famous people we see should get killed w/in seconds (either executed by the Monarch or brutally mangled by Brock).

In a show about failure, it strikes me as funny to use actors whose careers are... not exactly "A-list"
Ray Romano would have to be 24

IF you don't get the original voices AND if he would agree to do it... Ray Romano should DEFINITELY be #24.

You just need to find an actor who can play #21 that he can play off of well.
Casting the Venture characters

The show features a number of notable pairs. Hank and Dean, #21 and #24 and Mr. White and Master Billy Quizboy, just to name the most prominent. THESE characters need to be cast as pairs, in my opinion.

Oh, and Soulbot for helper... Or Lawrence Fishburne.
It should just stay as a cartoon

No live action please. Part of the genius of Venture Bros. is the inspired lunacy they can get away with in the animated form, as well as all of the clever in-jokes to earlier cartoons like Jonny Quest.
If you make it live action, then you have to ground it in reality. And if the actors play the characters like the cartoon, it'll look silly. And if they play it seriously, it won't be funny. Either way, I doubt it'll work. It would be better to do a full length animated feature and keep the voice actors.
