I cried watching Millennium Actress. But not as much as when I saw Grave Of The Fireflies! That was the saddest movie I have ever seen! I can't even go any further than the DVD menu anymore! I just hear the music and I get all choked up!

Really psyched to see this. Since it will not show where I live (Frak! Really wanted to see this on the big screen, but not willing to make a day trip out of it) I want this on DVD before the end of the year. Please? Kon deserves all the praise he garners.
This is a great movie!!

saw it at the dallas afi film festival a few weeks ago. it's great and trippy. i seriously dig satoshi kon's films and this one is no exception to the quality that he puts on the screen. also, I'd put MADHOUSE up against any animation studio in history. their output is simply stunning. for my part, this movie reminds me of a mixture of the cell and eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. i know that sounds obtuse, but just watch the movie and you'll see what i mean.
Damn, gotta see...

Hopefully it'll come out for a limited release somewhere in my city... If not, I'll wait for teh DVD, and if Dreamworks will be distributing this, for the love of all, please include a good English Dub for my convenience, and I don't mean as a special edition DVD 6 months later!

a week ago. Haven't seen any of his other movies, but this was just OK. Great soundtrack, looks pretty most of the time, nothing special besides that. My friend is a hardcore Kon fan and he felt the same way as me, so let that be a warning to you.

Madhouse is just far more badass than everyone else out there! Their's record's are full of entertaining energetic stylized greatness! If IG and Madhouse could collaborate on something together, it would kick serious ass!
