I am not an Oprah watcher, but
I have seen Oprah selections
in the bookstore and while she
has selected some books I
would not read, she has
selected Toni Morrison, Carson
McCullers, John Steinbeck. I
wouldn't exactly call them
hacks. Toni Morrison in
particular is considered one
of our great American authors.
