A frickin' reason to stay up late on Sundays again... I hated Entourage during the first season, but it really found some legs and some acting chops during the second... Definetely looking forward to this as a follow up to the Sopranos.

ready for more douche-chill inducing moments from this show? If you are, then continue to watch. At some point, one of those tools, will do something foolish. Which will make you want Ari Gold to show up as quickly as possible to wash away the funk from Vince, Turtle, Eric, and Drama. Fun times ahead. Prepare for Artie Lange biting hot woman ass! This, and then new episodes of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" in a month or so will sustain me through the summer. Ari destroying the hell out of Lloyd's foreign good luck effigy was fantastic stuff, as well as Martin Landau's "Would you be interested in..." character.

Been waiting too long for this to return. Johnny Drama is a comedy legend. Way to go Kev. And Ari and Lloyd are a fantastic double act. Laughed at the review that said Ari asks Lloyd to "Take one for the Team" to land a write. That scene will be comedy gold. Lloyd had some great scenes with Ari when he was giving him his homo pep-talk. Classic.

Will hollywood quit making insider tv for insiders to chuckle over. Please.

This and the horrendous Jewish-centric Larry David show truly piss me off.

If the clique wants to mock themselves send Christmas dvd's to each other. Instead they love rubbing their superiorority in we the "little" peoples faces.

After watching a season of Dirt I now realize we see only half the story. The pro-star half. Not the sleazy self-promotional half.

Finally Turtle and Drama should have declared their love for each other after "crossing swords" at Sundance. C'mon Hollywood and only Ari's assisstant is gay.

Yeah sure, pull the other one it jingles.

If you don't enjoy "Jewish-centric" shows, just don't watch them. I'm sure that, among the 400 channels on TV these days, you can find a program having nothing to do with Hollywood, the entertainment industry, or shifty Jews. Not everything has to be tailored to your particular "taste."

Or dumb as a box of hammers I will make it ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY clear to you.

The show is geared toward the Hollywood jewish community.

That type of insider humor and activity is not for mainstream middle america.

It is like when Steve martin told the plumber joke. Funny to plumbers, BUT not anyone else.

More and more shows are geared toward hollywood insiders, Entourage, Fat Actress,30 Rock, 30 whatever the fucking tv about tv show is,The Comeback, and even Dirt.

Fine if hollywood types are writing to humor themselves, but it is a big goddamned world out here with LOTS and LOTS of people who are NOT industry insiders. Or even of the splinter group of Jewish Hollywood Insiders.

Make sense to you now.

Dickhead, dense fucking deickhead.

Curb your enthusiasm is both a critical and commercial success, and quite frankly, this non-jew non-showbiz guy loves the almighty fuck out of it. There is a simple rule to TV that no one seems to get. If you don't like it don't watch it. If it still gets produced after that, then enough people do like it for it to be financially viable, so you just need to shrug and get on with it, not somehow think any show you hate shouldn't be on...

Huh? Really? Inside Jew humour? 30 Rock is inside Jew humour? Really? This makes no damn sense to me. Seriously, no damn sense, because shit is bad because it's bad. The religious affiliation of the writers makes very little difference in relation to something sucking or not.

Hollywood Insider series

First off, Entourage is amusing and funny, but it would not work on network television. I think Fox had a show a few years ago about an obnoxious agent named Dragon, critics went nuts for the show and actors were guest stars- Sandra Bullock was in one episode. It flopped like Studio City. HBO demographics cater to LA and New York types who are into the entertainment industry insider bullshit. Majority of network viewers don't want to be reminded how fucking great hollywood elite lives are...I sure as hell don't. Showtime is jumping on the bandwagon with David Duchovny playing a screenwriter who bangs starlets...uh yeah, back to his old Red Shoe diaries stomping ground. Anyway, an occasional viewer of Entourage- not a big fan.
Didn't that Fox show...

material wonderfully. It didn't make things look glamorous or glitzy. It just showed that everyone was duplicitous and assholes. The finale with the Jim Carrey scene showed this perfectly. I enjoy Entourage a lot, but it's not due to the set up. It's well done, and when you have a creator that writes 90 percent of the episodes, you have well defined characters and cohesive arcs and storytelling.

Ratings
by thevision
Apr 8th, 2007
10:42:32 PM
I've read Entourage has below average ratings for a Premium cable channel compared to Sopranos- who has network TV type of ratings. Again, I have no problem with the show but its overly hyped by the entertainment media who are every bit as part of that world as actors, agents, producers, etc. are. When I read all they hype concerning Studio 60, I knew it was just the media patting themselves on the back- majority of viewers would not give a shit AND its obvious what Sorkin thinks of the majority with Judd Hirsch's rant. Entourage is not Studio 60, its not trying to make statements and condescend to anyone, that's why I find it mildly amusing.

...Action could be remade for 2007 fall season on Fox and short of Brad Pitt playing Peter Dragon, it would still bomb. The only chance for it to work today would be if they downplayed the Hollywood insider stuff and make Peter Dragon an agent who is also a counter-terrorist/martial artist/superhero!

Action and Larry Sanders Were Both Excellent
by _Maltheus_

They were quite different from Entourage however. I think Action never really had a chance and I think it was far better than most of the sitcoms on then or since. As for Larry Sanders, well I wouldn't mind seeing and Arty-Ari crossover. Two of the best characters on TV. They need to get Rip Torn on the show.

Entourage is one of these shows that's best to watch back to back, say three or four eps in a row. It's much more fun that way. I was never able to get into in just checking out a half an hour a week. Not sure why this new agent doesn't seem too worried about Ari, is she retarded or something? Glad to see Drama sticking it out with Gold's agency.

It's all going to build until Vince's final, epic decision in the series finale: the red T-shirt, or the black shiny shirt? Seriously, we GET it: they're all totally gay for each other. Understood. We're on board. We love it, and crave more. Could we have some actual stories now? Where the hollywood superstar, you know, makes a movie? (How many major hollywood superstars take TWO YEARS off from projects at the START of their careers??) Also, I'd really enjoy a tit this season. You could surprise me with two, but even one would be nice at this point.

It doesn't matter how much they fuck up, they always land on their feet. Why should he worry about money when there will always be people around to clean up any mess? But I agree and have no sympathy for people who get rich and lose it all. How hard is it to put a little aside in a safe investment so that you never have to work again if something goes bad? I would love to be rich, just for that security. Money is kind of pointless otherwise. Although so is this show, and that's what makes it fun.
