Although I wouldn't say Pierce should bulk up, Roland should be rangy and thin.

Anyway Priscilla, LA Confidential, Memento and the Propostition all rocked, good interview with a great actor.

you dropped the whole favourite dirty joke thing, huh?

...about Crowe. He really is a shaved ape.

Not so sure about Pearce for Roland, though. He almost seems to frenetic a personality...something about the way his eyes dart and his voice lilts.

Maybe he could pull it off, but if he hasn't even read the books, I doubt it.

I can't believe you didn't ask about the LA Confidential follow-up movies. Unless it was explicit that the topic was verboten. I mean, that's what everybody really wants to know about...Right? Pierce was just outstanding as Exley...I'd love to see him back in the role.

He really is the man. Surprising he is not a star. He played a well acted bad guy in Monte Cristo. Those are great sandwhiches too.

That was my loud exclamation whilst watching 'Priscilla'. Again, i made the same remark during 'L.A.Confidential'. After Momento he's just been 'Guy Pearce'. Respect to the fellow - he chooses his scripts carefully and care about the movies he makes. A fabulous actor who i'm sure will be around for decades.

Nice to see some love for Ravenous! I love that movie and have been championing it to no avail ever since it came out. Like rbatty pointed out, not only does it combine horror and social commentary, but it's fucking funny as well. No, really, give it a chance.

Seems the Oz soaps (Home and Away also) have spwaned a few movie stars of late.

Doesn't seem to work that well for eastenders though...well Big Mo (gary Oldman's sister) was amazing in Nil by Mouth!

Quote from Guy Pearce: "this idea of control and how much we try to control our lives versus how much the universe seems to do things to us that we’re not ready for or we don’t think we’re ready for and that we’re trying to sort of have some control over." I've seen this movie. Its called "Clockwise" with John Cleese.
