It's Timothy Treadwell, dude, not Timothy Truman. Although I would like to see Jim Carrey eaten by a Grizzly.
Thank you, nietzschebot

It is Treadwell. I tried to get this out as quick as I could on a stomach full of Guiness so it was a small misprint on my behalf. A couple of Tim Treadwell's friends will be there too that were interviewed in the doco, so it should make for a interesting evening. Last night they screened, "Nosferatu" and though Mr. Herzog wasn't scheduled to appear, he did anyway and gave an impromtu talk about the making of his film. Some fascinating info. He had a crew of 16 people and the movie was shot in several locations including Mexico for the opening mummy sequence for $3 million dollars. He talked about how true horror movies should come from the feeling one has inside themselves, rather than the blood and guts in-your-face images that we see today. He talked about had they had to purcahse all these rats for the plague sequence and had them dipped in hair dye(!!!!) to give them the proper look. He was also the "Rat Wrangler" as well because of their limited budget. Great stuff! It was a full house and Mr. Herzog is an amazing orator, so if anyone wants to meet the great man, get there early as they expect to have a sold out show.
I'm so there

Seriously, if you're within 200 miles of this event, BE THERE. The man is an utter badass (as you'd have to be to survive that many films with the great but totally batshit insane Klaus Kinski), and infinitely quotable. "It was not a significant bullet."

Just a fantastic film. Herzog is an utterly insane genius. I love how early on he was able to make movies only because he STOLE a 35mm camera from his film school. Plus his accent is really cool.
I love Herzog's work, but...

if anybody shot at his balls, it's because Herzog hired them to do it.

I waited too long, and it's already sold out. I really want to see Aguirre and Fitzcarraldo, plus I probably can't go Sunday. Please? Email RaistlinBrown@gmail.com if so. Thanks.

the lack of Herzog in germany is disturbing. the only possibility remaining is to read books like HERZOG ON HERZOG by paul cronin. (great wonderful interview book) i love how noah segan on the BRICK commentary track says that he thought god sounded like Werner Herzog. I can only agree with him. Aahh...wish I could be there and experience the spirit of Herzog live... he's such a great inspiration for me. especially his relationship with america and his great views on documentary filmmaking, fact and ecstatic truth...wow. I hope someone will report something from this event.

It's not a movie- it's an experience- Hypnotic, powerful, transcendent- HERZOG is a genius- his craft makes most Hollywood directors look not quite like mere retarded children, but more like innocent puppies who cannot and will never grasp the craft of true, pure filmmaking.
Must add to the Herzog love
