...I hope to see "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time" soon. As much as I enjoy the 2D and 3D combos it would be nice to watch something that is animated without all that. I've always liked "Time Travel" stuff as well so I think I should enjoy it.

I'd really love to see it, but probably won't be able to for a while. Damn it and damn all the importing, translation, profit minded biz shenanigans that prevent me from seeing it when it came out in Japan. RE: TMNT. I wasn't planning on seeing it but after reading the Gatchaman description, I just might have to. Time.... I need more time to watch and read all this stuff. Damn it.

what retard did the write-up on Gunsmith Cats? If you are going to act like you know a subject, get your facts right. Rally is half Native American! If you read 'Indian' and thought that meant 'the other type of Indian' then that would still make you retarded, as India and Pakistan are completely different nations! Could you be any more ignorant? Feh. Get some writers who know what they are talking about already...
Studio Gonzo's 1st film Origin

is interesting from the first 15 minutes I've seen. It starts [SPOILER] with dragon-spirit-lightning coming from the moon (cracking it into pieces in the process) and streaking to earth to destroy its, uh, technology and stuff [END SPOILER]. The dvd is available from Hong Kong (region 3) under the name "Agito"--disc is legit as far as I can tell. Sells for about $10 from various online retailers.

Back when GSC was hot and Rally's background was a hot topic of debate, from what I saw the general consensus was that she was specifically Pakistani.

The 15 minutes are the best part of the movie. it isn't so much that the animation quality goes down hill after that so as that sequence hides the animators' story telling weaknesses. It's still a movie worth seeing, but more eye catching than clasic.

Origin was released in the U.S. the end of February. And thanks for the response Mr. Green--I'll still finish the disc, but without the high hopes of the whole thing living up to the opening. Also, CG Blame! could be great (although I do enjoy the existing anime--it's what made me start reading the manga).
Fronting on Shinichiro Watanabe - WTF

COWBOY BEBOP means that if Shinichiro Watanabe has a new project coming out, it deserves automatic headline status just for existing. SAMURAI CHAMPLOO merely backs this fact up. The rest of the stories range from "interesting" to "who cares" - new Watanabe stuff, however, is the very definition of cool news. Good to see PING PONG headed this way at last, as it is quite a good film, and it gets extra bonus points for casting eternally underrated Hong Kong actor Sam Lee as the player from China.
I didn't like Origin...

BOught teh DVD on recommendation, but it's a waste. Some nice animated moments, but they jsut seem tacked on and sometimes just random. I heard the story was weak, but I was hoping for mroe eye candy and good action. There are maybe 1-3 cool moments, but all in all Origin was a major dissappointment. What is up with Gonzo and their lack of good story or maintaining a good story if they have good concepts?

So is this new edition of the GSC manga still missing all the sex featuring underage characters just like the previous US release?
