...so I'm wondering how he'll do carrying a film and not playing the sidekick role. He was actually quite funny in Even Stevens.
from the roles he's done

there's no way to know if he can actually act or not. would you judge will ferrell's comedic chops by Night at the Roxbury?

I'll check this out. I had a hottie next door to me growing up, and thanks to venetian blinds, I got to see her breasteses once! changed my life.

More Body Double, Less Rear Window

I saw the trailer before Zodiac the other day, and the advance reviews have been surprisingly good. From what I've seen it looks less like Rear Window and more like Body Double. I think the attractive women and voyeur aspect makes me think this. In Rear Window Jimmy Stewart is recovering from a broken leg, and it's a physical setback. Body Double and Disturbia are both mental setbacks: in Body Double the main character has been dumped by his girlfriend and is rooming at a friend's apartment, and Disturbia has the protagonist under house arrest. Although I don't think power drills are involved with this movie...

I have high hopes this guy will be earning respect in the same way Jake Gyllenhaal did after October Sky and Donnie Darko. I fucking loved him in Holes, possibly the only good live-action Disney movie to come out of this decade, and the material he was given turned out like a youth-oriented Shawshank Redemption.
I doubt any of us are "salivating" over Transformers

I know that's not a new thing but when I saw "Zodiac" I felt like I saw this too because the trailer gave the whole movie away.... Chick is hot though...

That would be hilarious if directs under DJ.

in "A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints" and he does have the chops. I didn't like his typecasting as the kid in "I.Robot" and "Constantine," but all who have doubts on him should see "A Guide..." You might be surprised.
Yep, no salivating for Transformers here

Even the LeBeouf was alright as the sidekick in Constantine, just the fact that he's seems to be the flavor of the moment doesn't change the fact that appearing in Michael Bay films automatically puts you on the hate list.
wait, annette kellerman?

It's a teenage REAR WINDOW with some elements stolen from MONSTER HOUSE. I like Shia, though.

are convinced he is going to be the next big thing so they keep conning directors into casting him. Just like Josh Hartnett though, it will never happen.
comedian X: you could add Colin Farrell to that list.

And for all the "girl-next-door" movies, I only once had the pleasure of a hot girl living next door to me, and my bedroom window faced the backyard, so I was still screwed. A lot of variables have to be just right: sideyard window to her sideyard window, no trees, no curtains, etc.
