I knew that I could somewhat trust your opinion when you deemed Lucky Louie underappreciated and called out Cook and Mencia as notorious hacks/thieves.

I understood why Lucky Louie didn't last, it got way more vulgar and "shocking" than smart. Still, this guy is still funny as hell. Anybody see his stand up special on HBO? Had me lauging hard. "Lick your hand." As for Rock starring in a good movie, I'll believe it when I see it. Although, PootyTang is definitely in my so-bad-it's-good list.

Actually convinced me to give big-screen Chris Rock another chance, which is really saying something. I've just been so frustrated by the choices that guy has made so far.

of cinema. I would encourage to go back and rewatch some of his movies like Boyfriends and Girlfriends, Summer Tale and Claire's Knee. All of these movies are simply masterpieces.

and Im glad to see a black comedian actually make somethin look interestin...tired of all these movies wit black comedians doin corny PG13 stuff (lookin at you Martin, Eddie Griffith, Chris Tucker, Bernie Mac, Cedric, etc etc etc)...

i hope this is good. i've noticed that most comics hit a plato and search reusing thier old material more and more.. becoming less funny. CR previous hbo specials were hilarious, his last one less so. i hope he's back on form and the jokes come thick and fast.

I've notice that not only do most comics end up hitting a Plato, but that those who are able to avoid doing so invariably find themselves attacking a Socrates, or possible even abusing a Sophocles...

(1) Forrest Whitiaker's (sp) performance and Kelly Washington's ass! Kelly's hotness kind of snuck up on me. That said...Chris Rock's humor, like Dave Chapelle's, reflects how well read both these comics are. I like how the film looks and I will check it out.
