It seem pretty much the same as the ads for the other two movies to me. While there's something to be said for unity, there's also something to be said for distinction. The posters for the Spiderman movies just seem to all blend together.

It definitely looks like Spidey has cracked one too many off the wrist. I saw no racial overtones in it, the colour of evil is traditionally black, associated as it is with darkness and things done in secret. Graphically, though, I'd like to have seen the tendrils look more like spider legs than frayed cloth.

This is such a cheaply photoshopped piece of hackery. I always thought these close-up posters on Spider-Man never emphasized the dyanamic of the character enough and now with the crawly black stuff, well, I'm completely dissapointed and underwhelmed. No doubt this will be the dvd cover, they always think this type of shit is hot, but I think the movie fx look like completely detached from the human performances and I think that this poster is just plain bad in every sense of the word.

WE GET IT. either give us some idea where this suit came from or advertise the goblin/sandman aspect more. it's a damn costume, so why not market the villains a bit like they did in the other movies? but maybe the next trailer later this month will give me something to be happy with, i dont know.

Daddy likey. My only minor complaint is that the transitional part looks a little hairy instead of goopy. Still really like it. I'm an illustrator by trade though so I guess I have to come up w/at least one complaint like everyone does when they're pickin my stuff apart. I like the way the movin goop schloops up his arm in the trailer better than this stuff. Still B-B+ at least.

it's not quite Jedi or Sith, but it beats the Superman III and Police Academy III posters with relative ease. little in this world would challenge the arrogance and audacity of the Rocky III poster, and as I recall the Rambo III poster had a suggestion of an Afghan lamb on it, something you would not find on any third installment of a film series poster. unless someone has made a trilogy about Afghan sheep and i missed it.

...but most comic artists have a far better grasp of perspective (as How To Draw Comics the Marvel Way demostrates beautifully). Check how the black hairy stuff connects to the forearm. Then check how it goes back with the arm, or rather, doesn't go back. No perspective. Just overlaid badly. It's not true to the material - its just a bit rubbish.

it is photoshopped, but most likely has been traced from a photograph and formatted/painted in psd. That said...I've never been a big fan of the spidey posters...theyre slick, but definatley unimaginative. They totally should have taken more cues from comic art- or alternatviely been more concise. The best spidey 3 poster so far is the chest shot.
