Please stop with the Production immideatly and rewrite the Screenplay again. Do the next Rambo Apocalypse Now Style in Afghanistan, with John Rambo in the Role of Kurtz, who felt uncomfortable about the Military Decision of his former goverment and staied there after Part III to rule his own territory/own laws there. Then send out the Bunch of Mercs led by Sam Elliot to get rid off John Rambo once and for all. Build up Rambos Character as a mysterious old Lion who staied in the Shadows for the Past 20 Years and tell his Backround via Elliots Monologues. Dont even show Rambo in person till the end of the Journey. Sly said himself that Rambo isnt a real Hero like Rocky, and he was compared to Brando before. So give us a classy Anti-War movie in the Desert like Apocalypse Now was and not another cheesy One Man Army Flick in Asia.

That flick is a classic, and is easily Stallone's best performance ever, outside of Rocky. The other Rambo flicks, however, were just plain terrible. I hope the new one is good, but I haven't got much hope. What made "First Blood" so great wasn't really the character of Rambo the marine, it was the fucked up situation in which he found himself.

I'm praying that Sly has the savvy to rework the late great Jerry Goldsmith's Rambo themes into the score, to my mind they were a significant factor in the success of the franchaise. Can Stallone still whip out the full RAMBO III mane???? Rambo isn't gonna be Rambo with a medium-length CLIFFHANGER-cut. Since Sly was going ROCKY BALBOA publicity with relatively short hair, and since he's somewhere around 60, I worry that he hasn't or can't grow the hair long again in time for this. Will he have extensions? RAMBO HAS LONG HAIR. Sly doesn't seem to have lost TOO much hair in his middle age, but it definitely does seem a little thinner, flatter, and more shoe-polished than it was in the mid-80s. GROW IT LONG, SLY!!!!

Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie and saw it opening day, but it ain't no blockbuster. I know the budget was only $24 million, but remember back in the day Stallone could crap in a bag and the film of it would break $100 million (adjusted). It was a nice little film. Not great, but enjoyable. I enjoyed it, and I think the highest compliment that can be paid to it is it wasn't embarrassing, which it certainly could have been. I don't think the idea of another Rambo is nearly as good, or will be as successful. Stallone seems like a nice enough guy from his appearances here, but how much of that is because time has been harsh to him box office wise? And all of this is coming from a long-time fan of his. I love Nighthawks, and much of his earlier works. But the BO gross of RB is good, but definately not a blockbuster.

And that 70 MILLION is just domestic...overseas RB is making a killing (where Sly is still a god)! How many part 6's in a series can you name to making the kinda money that ROCKY has (STAR WARS only comes to mind)! ALOT was going against ROCKY BALBOA and that fact that it grossed over 70 million in the U.S. is a huge success! JOHN RAMBO or RAMBO IV is gonna be another blockbuster. It should make no less than 70 MILLION in the U.S. ROCKY BALBOA is a "BLOCKBUSTER" plain and simple!

It gives the title a sense of urgency and finality, in a way that "John Rambo" sounds like a Dickens character study! "Rocky Balboa" was a title that served the piece: intimate, raw, knowing and moving. Do we need to know that rambo is John? Or do the force and power of his actions drive the story i.e "RAMBO : LAST BLOOD". It is short, sharp, conclusive and mysterious: like the character himself!

The Rambo 2 poster is so iconic. Sly: try to capture a homage to that poster. Anything less will be underserving and contrite: capture that spirit again. Imagine the sherif from first blood had family, and they want revenge. The "Last blood" of the sherif track down Rambo in Thailand to execute payback and extract the "last blood2 from Rambo. The thrill of the chase can echoe First blood 1=2,Apocolypto, Predator and a Dances with Wolves aspect to it (Rambo can befriend local "tribes" and have a pet like the wolf in Dances with Wolves.) The ending can be shocking: mirror the end fight in Troy; Rambo is Hector, the Sherif's "Son" is Achilles. Rambo loses to the bad guy, but in a noble way where the baddie looks vicious and evil and Rambo is the hero. The dead carcass of Rambo is dragged all around to see, it seems as though the baddie has one, but Rambo's noble death inspires the people to insurrection!

This will catapult Stallone to a $100m + hit: promise. (I apologise for any previous spelling mistakes in my "picture this" article. Last Blood2 should just read "last blood" and "one" should be "won".) Loving my Rambo: Last Blood idea!

RAMBO 4: THE HASHISH EATER He takes a hit, runs for cover, eats some cannabis indica, cuts out the bullet with a big knife, patches the wound, recovers while sleeping up in a tree overnight, seeing fresh, green dreams of adventure... wakes up, and continues his 1 man tour de bodycount, relaxed and smiling at Death!

There's the risk of customer confusion. The poster should have Stallone with long hair and red headband to alleviate that, should the title be "John Rambo". A whole generation has simply referred to him as Rambo.
