It is a typo. It really stated "NBC's SHIT laughfest Last Comic Standing". Clearly more true to what the show relly is.

I saw him live once - he performed at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia back in 2000, and they made him work clean, because it's a Jesuit school. No joke - he was one of the funniest performers I've ever seen. He definitely has talent, and should not be nearly the worst thing on that show.

It's just that hacks like Yakov Smirnov seem to be the ones who make it big on a one-off joke or something. Billy Connoly has been a huge draw for years, and half of Saturday Night Live's Golden Years comics were Canadian.

called "Last Viewer Watching" .. and the winner is the loser. Brilliant. ;) I thought Dat Phan was pretty funny in the original series.. Then you realize he really only has couple of jokes that he tells over and over w/ slight variations. And you can only listen to that voice he does of his mom so many times before you ears start bleeding. Take a note from Margaret Cho -- you can't make fun of your mother for an entire act.

some ACTUAL talent around this show would have made it a great look inside the stand up comic life, but no. nope, we have this crap. Do the contestants really want to be working on the same show that "made them non-famous"?! hell no! god, what a rip. i'd hate to be them right now. eww. whats this "funniest comic in the world" crap?! two countries that arent in North America and they call it "the world. how about you throw in an asian city? or something in africa? the middle east? lets see some comics from around the WORLD. lameo lameo lameo. i hate this show, but im bound to watch a little of it until the contestant's joke-sets start repeating over and over and over. seriously. these guys are suppose to be "the best" and they have 2-3 sets with the same repeating jokes? thats not good TV! reality tv shouldnt have repeats! lame! NBC, i hate you. I guess that the "real" comics are too jaded and angry at the world to sell out and sign up for a show like this. it DOES make them look like pansies, and the jokes are never as good as the real stuff out at a club... so i expect this show to drop of, again, and probably get canceled. ZERO consistency means ZERO fan base. thanks for playing. unforunately, this isn't the last shitty reality show standing.

Bill's nothing to get excited about, but he seems to be an affable, funny guy. Certainly better than Anthony Clark, who was a weird combination of bored and frightened during his LCS hosting stint. It seemed like the producers were holding him hostage. And with Jay Mohr, you either love him or you hate him. But Bill Bellamy seems like a nice, safe choice. He's a black Ryan Seacrest, basically. Good job, NBC.

I've watched LCS religiously every season, and even I get bored with the stand-up acts. It's clear that most of today's top comedians became best known for sketch comedy, not stand up. Sketch comedy shows like SNL, MadTV, and The Daily Show (yes) are what breed our future comedic movie and TV stars, not stand-up showcases. So this season, how about you mix some sketch comedy challenges in with the stand-up routines? With SNL, 30 ROCK, and STUDIO 60, NBC is the home of sketch comedy, so that would be both fun for viewers and a great corporate fit. Thank you for your time and consideration.
