Lazy ass writing, could you not put in the tiniest bit of effort and google his name. He is the lead singer of the Frames, who are huge in Ireland and have been making an impact in the UK and the states. In addition this is his second acting role, having previously starred in Alan Parkers 'The Commitments'. Furthermore, he released an album last year with his co-star in this movie, Marketa Irglova.

If anyones interested in hearing any more of Glen Hansards music he's in a band called The Frames which has about 5 albums out. The best one to get is "Set List", it's kind of a live Best Of. They are one of the most unappreciated bands of the last 10 years. They're better than Damien Rice yet he get's famous?!?! He is also in the movie The Commitments way back when. Think he's the guitarist, but it's been a while since I've seen it. Look him up, he's a serious talent and a fucking nice guy to boot!

I have setlist and it is very good. Here is a little story for you movie buffs. Around the time Hansard was getting the frames off the ground, he starred in The commitments. Hansard is no push over as Sir Alan Paker discovered. They were filming some scene which involved the band. Hansard had a gig. Parker reminded Hansard that he had to shoot this particular. Hansard said no. Things got heated and Parker asked Hansard if he could cancel the gig. Hansard said no. Parker contacted the film company Polygram and poly gram said that werent going to lose 150,000. So they went ahead. After the movie came out Hansard was approached by the record company to form the committments band. Hansard said no. The record company reminded him that he was turning down a very lucrative offer. Hansard said no. His passion for his band is immense. Then there is the story of How Van morrison played at Hansard's house at Hansards birthday party. Hansard is a huge fan of van morrison and knows all his songs and there is one song that van never plays. Hansard asked if he could play this song with van and Van barked"how do you know This song" and stormed out of the birthday party. It left hansard in tears and completely deflated. Much later on, Hansard was in his bedroom and there was a knock and in walks Van the Man with a guitar and closes the door behind sits down and says "I will teach you that song. You follow Me." true story that. There is a song called what happens when the heart just stops and that is about Mic Christopher, who wrote the song Heyday. Mic Christopher died in Holland after falling down steps and Hansard had to turn off the life support machine.

Sweet Jesus, it's been almost ten years since Slums of Beverly Hills. I missed a test screning of Savages due to e-mail negligence and I screamed bloody murder. 2007 is shaping up to be the year that gets me to log off of warcraft to go see movies again. Living Out Loud Superfans--how cool is it that Lagravenese, Jenkins, and Anderson have movies opening this year?
