Saw a commercial the other night and it made my roommates take notice. I was like "Guy who did Wonderfalls" and they go "OOOOOH! Sweet!" So, it has a bit of a built-in audience I'd wager.

I have a good feeling about this, but that might be just the Firefly\Wonderfalls fanboy in me taking over. I hope the interesting concept will draw enough ratings to keep it on the air.

Amy Acker looks a little young to be married to Fillion. But I guess after checking IMDB, she's 29 and he's 35... the same as my wife and I. I guess he's a cradle robber like me. yea!

Cuz...well, Yummy. But since this show was created by Minear, has a decent premise, and will probably be pretty good, we can all rest assured that Fox will likely schedule it against Lost or something equally fated to pound it in the ratings, and that it will last a whopping 4 episodes or so before being unceremoniously cancelled.

mad, mad, cannonball train planes and automobile 80 days around the world. it looks very cool- i'd like it better in movie form, or mini-series form. these semi-scifi-dramas are hard to keep alive on network TV.

Fox is like Lucy holding a football for us to kick and just like Charlie Brown, we keep charging up thinking,"She won't fuck me over again."

I don't know why Minear, Whedon, ANYONE goes with Fox!!

You just know they will abort this promising series early, by failing to properly program it against rival nets, by botching its ad/marketing campaign, and by mistreating its showrunners and team every step of the way -- just like they've done every other promising series that didn't yield X-FILES Season Four numbers right out of the gate. Fox is the absolute worst possible network to manage genre programming, and talented creatives like Minear, Whedon, Morgan & Wong and others ought to RUN any time Fox comes sniffing around after their product. Christ, I'd take my series to fucking cable before I'd let Fox wreck it. I'm eager to see this one, but I have absolutely NO hope that it will survive past its initial 8-13 episodes. Fuck you, Fox, you useless, talentless, soulless hack motherfuckers.

Amy Acker played Fred/Illyria on Angel and had a brief stint on Alias. She's petite, but very pretty in a girl-next-door sorta like way. Btw, she's also a great character actress...The way she was able to juxtapose between Illyria and Fred & vice-versa was very impressive.

... Rented Serenity 3x, bought Serenity 1x, Amazon'd the Firefly box, watched it mucho-x. Ms. Hendricks is beyond doubt a major slice of voluptuocity and her on-screen chemistry w/Fillion is just short of mesmerizing; but Ms. Acker has this whole "One night with her will be the death of you, boy - help me Jesus I can't stop myself." thang cuz, you know it, once you've peeled back the layers of that girl next door she's coming for you, and coming, and coming, and coming.
I love Minear, but I honestly didn't think whoever...

was playing the wife would have gotten me excited, and look at that, it did. Yeah, pairing this would 24 would instantly lead it (and presumably any show) to success. Like if The Inside had been paird with Idol rather than House.
For the love of God, don't cast Adam Baldwin!!!
by Sledge Hammer

Much as I actually really enjoy the guy and the roles that he plays he is the kiss of death to quality tv. Don't believe me, just look at the facts:

Recurring guest role on The Visitor - cancelled first season
Joins X-Files in a recurring guest role, turns out to be shows final season
Cast a series regular on Firefly, show is aired out of order and cancelled after only a few episodes
Made a recurring guest on Angel, show is unexpectedly cancelled that year
Cast as a regular on The Inside, show doesn't even last half a season
Cast as a regular on Day Break, show is pulled from air after only a handful of episodes shown

And it's not just casting him in a regular or recurring role that'll kill your show, just having him do a guest shot will do it too, it just takes a little longer for the Baldwin curse to seep through:

Guest spot on JAG, announced that the show's next season will be it's last
Voices Jonah Hex, Hal Jordan and Rick Flagg on JLU, shortly after he does Flagg it's announced that the next (already in production) season will be the show's last

The Adam Baldwin curse is real, people, it's real, it happens, it can not be avoided, so cast him at your peril. And if you see Adam Baldwin show up on your favourite show, weep, for the end can not be far away!

Wow, have any of the former Buffyverse writers...

...done anything that has lasted more than six episodes? Fury and Noxious, er, Noxon were shitcanned from their most recent gigs, Noxon, Minear, DeKnight and Petrie have all had failed shows, and the great Whedon is diddling Buffy comics somewhere while his Wonder Woman project languishes. So much for Buffy's great television and film legacy. Doubt very highly this show will change the status quo.

Exactly how many are we going to see on this show. Adam Baldwin? Rachel Nichols? Even Christina Hendricks in a guest star variety. Doesn't matter if Fos plays around with this show and cancels it prematurely.

he's opportunistic and doesn't want to be tied down. he's got a great agent who keeps him steadily busy on projects that wont require any long-term committments. Also, he was awesome in the X-Files.

I'm really liking the YoSaffBridge love in this TB.

Christina Hendricks is indeed very yummy.

Love me some Amy Acker too. Problem is, I don't see this lasting. The Premise + Minear + Mutant Enemy alumi + Fox TV = 5 out of order eps...if we are lucky.

We need more Christina Hendricks on TV!!!!!!!!
