The show has had an incredible run, at least in terms of quality and making its audience laugh. While it never managed to get killer ratings, the people that did watch it always came away satisfied, with a smile on their face. It was like MST3K was great sex on the same day you found out you won the lottery. What will we do without Mike, Tom, and Crow being our barrier against crappy movies? But they've shown us the way. Everybody's invited to my house for a marathon Roger Corman festival. Bring plenty of beer and your wit, cause we're rippin' em up tonight. (Oh, and someone in Hollywood better snap up the writers of this show quick. If anyone deserves big contracts in LaLa land, its Mike Nelson. Good luck, brother, you've been an inspiration)

Sigh, I suppose we should have seen it coming after Sci-Fi changed the times to the horrible ones they are now (11:00pm on sunday?!?!)I'll miss this show alot, it always made me smile and was one of the best to watch with a large group of people. At least we get one more season, it didn't just get pulled like they do on network TV. While it sounds like an amiable ending, I find it disturbing that the reason they are ending is because Sci-Fi didn't want any more eps. I guess Scf-Fi is dedicated to making themselves "Crappiest Cable Network on Earth." Ah well, at least there's still Cartoon Network...

Oh sweet God, WHY!? I have been watching this show since it was on the crappy UHF station in Minneapolis. Good grief, that was a long time ago....I was in grade 5 then....that was what, ten years ago...now I feel old. I have to go into the corner and crawl into the fetal position now.

Knowing that this will be the last season, I am sure the folks at Best Brains will make this the funniest season yet. I am looking forward to laughing along with those shadows at the bottom of my TV screen. However, after that last episode, I'm sure I'll be one ornery disappointed jerk. Now I guess to get my bad-movie fix, I'll have to see whatever Universal puts out. Sci-Fi Channel, bite me!

I'll miss MST3K, but I've been missing it for the last few years since it's been on the SciFi Channel (Don't get because of a dumb package deal for our cable company). Oddly enough, I was thinking about investing in the SFC, but now I don't know why. The announcement on the radio this morning broke my heart when the announcer made comment that the crew would be returning to Earth. Hopes of Dr. Forrester, Deep 13, and possibly a Frank-clone filled my thoughts until I heard the word...CANCELLED. Personally, I would love to see a reunion for the final episode, ala Sleeping in Light. But in the meantime, we can hope MST3K will come back in some other way. The videos are nice, but I'd like to see them a little cheaper. Maybe the 'bots and Mike can move to Cartoon Network and rip on some bad Superfriends episodes, a 1/2 hour at a time. (Or the God Awful Superman vs. The Brady Kids. Trust me, this is a hilarious/horrible cartoon.) I suppose the biggest problem facing MST is the running time of the show, demanding two continuous hours. No broadcast network would devote that kind of time to a comedy (SNL excluded). But on the other hand... MST3K on NBC right after SNL sounds pretty good. In closing, let's all hope for the best for all the gang. They've given me some of the best times I've had in recent years.

I love this show! I always wished they would get to watch the Brady Bunch or Gilligans Island or even original Star Trek shows in addition to the bad movies, -but now I guess I'll never see that happen. I hope someone can save the show, but if not I want all the people involved with the show to know that I really enjoyed all their efforts.

Well I guess that Sci-Fi Channel decided to screw over Mst3k just like Comedy Central did, which means that Sci-Fi will probably find some really crappy british show to put in MST's timeslot like what COmedy Central did with That Absolutely Fabulous (BLECH!!!!). A slight glimmer of hope remains. The Website www.MST3KINFO.com is the source of the newsletter now and I think that they are trying to stage a e-mail campaign to the Sci-Fi Channel to possibly save the show. I know it's small but I Love the show and I'm in the MST3K Information Club so I'll do it in order to save one of the last truly original shows on TV. All Hail the Satellite of Love. Long may she orbit. And if the Sci-fi channel decides against the fans then they should be locked in a dark room and forced to watch crappy movies or have Manos: The Hands of Fate on a constant loop for eternity. I'm majorly bummed about this. MST3K has sustained us all in a wilderness of bad TV (not to mention bad movies) for these many years, and we are now deserted. But one side note -- the press release made it sound as though it was a mutual decision on the part of Best Brains and the Sci-Fi Channel to end the show, as opposed to the messy divorce with Comedy Central. Let's not go ripping into Sci-Fi Channel until we know the whole story.

Amen! This is the BEST news I have heard in a loooong time. Finally, what was once a brilliant show has been put to rest, where it belongs. This show has been clinically dead since Joel left it, but refused to lie down. Instead, it made itself into one of the laziest attempts at creativity I've ever seen. That Joel let this show be run into the ground by the losers he left behind is an atrocity. Mike Nelson is the AntiChrist, and while I know that is giving him too much credit, I cannot think of a better title in the short time that I have to vent. MST3K once was a thing of beauty, but as all dead things, it swelled and began to rot, filling the world with its vile putrescence. I will be whistling a tune for the rest of the day, my spirits have been raised. Thanks, Glen. And I just want to say: TV's Frank, you are missed but never forgotten!

I love Mystery Science Theater 3000. It's the only show I can honestly say I watch regularly and have watched it since it appeared on Comedy Central and now on the Sci-Fi Channel. I hope for the finale that Joel and Dr. Forrester come back on the show to make a cameo and I hope the last few episodes of the show are as funny as the rest. I'll miss MST3K and always have a special place for it in my heart. Goodbye, Sattelite of Love. And thank you for the entertainment, the laughs, and many hours of fun and joy.

I am well aware in his involvement in the show from the start, and I didn't mind it when he had litle bit parts, such as an ape-man or Hercules. But these are all opinions. I watched the show religiously before Joel left, and I really did try to like it with Mike as the star, but...

MST3K was without question, beyond any shadow of a doubt, the LEAST FUNNY, MOST OVERRATED, INSIPID, EXCRUCIATINGLY BORING, INSIPID PIECE OF CRAP EVER TO CURSE MEDIUM OF TELEVISION. As a big fan of original comedy, I started tuning in years ago when it first started on Comedy Central. People swore to me that it was hysterical. I think I watched three shows, and never once cracked a smile. I thought about suing the producers for wasting my time. Die, MST3K, die! May your foul carcass rot and fester in hell for all eternity. The world will be a better place once it is gone. I only pray that terrorists will break into the SciFi Channel vaults and burn every goddamn episode. Good riddance!

I work in England. One Christmas time my younger brother pulls out a video of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and cranks it up. At one point (it involved a Viking ship and a spot-on Bulwinkle impression "Would someone please help me? I seems to be on FIRE!") I was actually rolling on the floor I was laughing so much. We're all in our thirties now but it was like we were all kids again. That's rare. I wish those people the right outlets for their brilliant lunacies.

First off, you guys forget the theme lyrics. Relax it's just a show. It also happens to be one of the best-written shows on TV. Fine, it's not your cup of tea - then shove off, dickweeds! Cracky- Mike is not the antichrist; he's just trying to entertain you. If you and Achilles are bitter Joel left then again, I remind you, RELAX it's just a show. Lastly, I just want to say that MST3K is a wonderful show and it's cancellation just goes to show you how America just doesn't know how to take a joke. Sure, it wasn't "original" comedy, but it WAS commentary. Like an editorial cartoon making fun of a politician, MST3K made fun of the crap that Hollywood puts out. Unfortunately, I lived in one of those BFE 'burbs which was one of the last on the planet to get Comedy Central, so I missed the majority of that era. Later, I came into a circle of friends who were avid MSTies with a large collective MST video library which I began devouring. And to this day, I still think that MST is one of the funniest, most creative and original shows ever to have walked the earth. When I got the Sci-Fi Channel and they began airing new MST, I rejoiced because they never failed to make me laugh. Thier humor ran the gamut from elementary-school toilet humor to references to Chaucer and Proust, they always demonstrated time and again that they could be intellectual as well as immature which is a combination sorely missed in todays trash-talk-shitcom society.And as for the statements made by Achillies, why in the world would you spend valuable moments of your life to berate a show which you've only seen 3 times!!! OK so you didn't like it, move on with your life and stop demonstrating how ignorant you are. "I never once cracked a smile." do you even have a pulse?!! You probably think crap like 3rd Rock From The Sun is intellectually stimulating television and worse yet, FUNNY. I don't belive it. MST3K was one of the funniset shows I had seen in a long time(much funnier than the dumb xena and hercules). I laughed at every episode. Now it is gone, thanks to those dick heads at sci-fi. I always regarded sci-fi as a sub-par channel. There were few things on it I found worth watching. SF vortex was one of the best scifi news propgrams I had seen, and they killed it some time ago. Then I heard a few days ago that they would not show anymore godzilla marathons(Yes, I am a dedicated godzilla fan.) And then I thought "god, could it get any worse?" boy oh boy, was I wrong. Mst3k was the last decent show on sci-fi, and sci-fi is now offically tottally crap. All they've got are there daily crap b-movies, but without mike and the bots, it ain't the same. I will never watch sci-fi again. Sci-fi if you're reading this, "KISS MY ASS!!!". To achilles and crank. I laughed all thourgh every ep, and a good number of other people did too. Of course, I began watching it on sic-fi, i was never watching it back in the old comedy central days, but it was still funny. I just don't see how people could think its not funny.

I could scream. I could whine about those fuck-ups at SciFi channel. After all, MST3K was better than 99% of the garbage on that damn channel, so hell, let's drop it and the others will look better!! I only started watching about 3 years ago, so I don't have the history with the show like some do, but nonetheless I love the show. I never really cared for Pearl (sorry Mary Jo); TV's Frank and Doc were the greatest. All the crew at Best Brains, you will be sorely missed. Well at this point it would be really easy to scream obscenities at the Sci-Fi channel, but I'm not going to do that. (The Mother F*ckers) Sorry, had to get at least one of them out. Anyway short and sweet, based on information at the Sci-Fi channel bullentin boards and E-Online news it was the Sci-Fi channel that pulled the plug. However here is the good news. The crew at Best Brains have stated that they would be willing to continue the series if another network will pick up the show. So be upset now, compose yourself, and then start the mail electronically, and snail. It's been canceled once before and US THE FANS brought it back to life. Hopefully Glen will find time in his schedule to get information about ways to save the best program on television. *(ONE OPINION...DOES COUNT)

Well, once again the Sci-Fi Channel has fucked us royally. Pulling the plug on MST3K at the end of its tenth season is the worst idea since polyester. No more MST3K? Say it ain't so! Along with "The Simpsons," MST3K is the best written show on TV. Who could forget Tom Servo's remark that "Eegah!" star Arch Hall, Jr. looks like a "Cabbage Patch Elvis?" Who could forget "Mitchell," in which Joel and the 'Bots utter every redneck joke to mankind. Or how about the immortal "Manos: The Hands of Fate," and the haunting "Torgo's Theme?" Or "I Was a Teenage Werewolf" in which Michael Landon tries for the World Championship of Milk-Bottle Throwing? Or "Teenagers from Outer Space" with its giant lobster monster, and New Zoo Revue fugitive Grandpa? Or "Jack Frost"? Or "Kitten with a Whip"? Or ... as you can see, the list is endless. We should have known the end was in sight when the Sci-Fi Channel put the show on at ELEVEN O'CLOCK SATURDAY MORNING! That was the first nail in the coffin. Well, MST3K is gone, but it certainly won't be forgotten. Now the Sci-Fi Channel has more room to air the four hour "Dune" SEVEN times a week, instead of the usual six. Hmm. I've got an idea for the final show. Maybe Mike and the 'Bots should watch this 1984 stinker, and ... well, that would be too easy. The Sci-Fi channel wouldn't expolit its bread and butter at the expense of a few honest laughs. The episode would be too perfect, and perfection, as we know, is a foreign concept to this shitty channel, what with its horribly edited movies and mind-numbing commercials. MST3K will sorely be missed. As Mickey Rooney said to Robert Stack at the 1957 Academy Awards: "We wuz robbed." Well said, Mick. Well said.

First off, cranky, I didn't mean to blast your opinon. I just thought it was as funny as hell, every episode. Anyhow, I don't think it had to end. Its not really a normal show. Most shows have a continuty, story line, character develpment, etc. Which become tired over time, resulting in the shows calclation. But mst3k's simple purpose was making fun of bad movies. They could have kept doing it forseeable forever. I don't think hollywood will ever stop churning out crap. Anyway, thats just my two cents.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 was the best show on Comedy Central and is the best show on the Sci-Fi Channel. The show is clever, original, and most of all funny. It can never be beat. It's Sci-Fi's own fault that MST3K was canned (Sunday night at 11:00?! What were the programmers smoking?). But there maybe a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel, fellow MSTies. Remember when MST3K was canceled on Comedy Central and we thought there was no chance of saving the show? Well, maybe a cable channel or network might see what a great show this is and snatch it up. They might even air commercials for it. But until then, a toast to all of the folks involved with Mystery Science Theater 3000!

Damn it!!!! I loved this show so much ad took it for granted. I didn't watch it nearly enough and now it will be lost forever. The scifi channel is now successfully THE worst network ever! Mr. Cranky and Achilles piss me off. Sure the show was slow at times but god damn when it was funny it was downright hysterical. It should be hailed as one of the most creative shows on television, next to The Simpsons. Who among us hasn't sat down with a friend and nailed a movie for it's stilted dialogue and stale acting jobs? At very least it should be respected for it's daring originality, anyone who doesn't agree can blow it out their arse!!

Damn, I was out at strip clubs with my buds until 2 in the morning and I come home to find out MST3k is cancelled. That sucks. I absolutely love the show and now we'll be relegated with Dr. Who reruns. 10 years is a long time, but hell I could go for another five. Cartoon Network needs to pick them up and put them right after Space Ghost. Please excuse me while I go pound my head against the wall in frustration at this great show's demise.

Even if the guys at Best Brains decided that they would carry on if someone else picked up the show, which cable networks would do it? What are the choices? Someone mentioned Cartoon Network (an odd choice). Who else? USA Network? Don't they own Sci Fi Channel? What about FX? They're going to be showing what looks like an MST hybrid called "Fast Food Movies" starting Saturday, March 6. TBS? TNT? (not likely). Bravo? A&E? (doesn't seem likely either). I've followed the show for a number of years. Like the rest of the fans who love the show, I feel a bit of resentment towards SciFi. The show is a breath of fresh air considering how much crap is foisted on the viewing public these days. Still, it seems as if the choices to place this show are running out. I don't have an answer to the situation. All I can do is hope that the show surfaces somewhere....

I am also looking for a snail mail address at the Sci-Fi Channel as well as any kind of address at FX. FX seems like the likeliest channel to pick up MST now. I don't know anything about their "Fast Food Movies" but there's always hope for it to go a season and then get axed when they realize it's just a rip off of TNT's "Dinner and a Movie". So, please, I hope you'll reconsider and order another season of MST3K. Set an example for all the other cable networks - make a choice that's based on good, smart entertainment instead of ratings. If you remember, MST3K was cancelled once before by Comedy Central. Well at that time, the fans got together to save it. It's happening again. Last time, Jamie Plummer was one of the major coordinators of the movement. He's got his page back up at http://plummco.simplenet.com/s avemstagain/index.html Maybe it'll happen again. Who knows?
