Thanks for the in depth article about it. I downloaded a torrent of it (the only way you could get it in america), but will be buying the dvd when it comes out! That show is so bad-ass and hard-scifi, it puts Matrix to shame. Well, almost.

Over the holidays I watched some older stuff and realized that for the most part (back then) whatever I got my hands on usually impressed. I came across some Gunbuster VHS in a box ready for the "move" that never comes. I will probably dig them out again and have a look before the dvd release. I am not bitter about the old days (I know of one guy who yearns for the old days in his bootleg laden store and Gundam kits who is so creeped out by the ""hey, you" and "hello there, sir."" thing that he literally hides in his little store) because I think quality is still being produced. The problem is we now have to do much more research than we once did when we would watch whatever we could get our hands on. I'm glad Gunbuster is coming out next month cuz although the weather is too damn good here (except for that saki, rice and Samurai armor I got hidden like any good peasant) this month is going to be lean. Ah well.

Maybe I'll pick it up... oh and hopefully Robotech will find it's way to Toronto, and Afro Samurai's first episode was pretty badass awesome! I don't get Spike TV, so I'll definately grab it on DVD, and I damn well hope all 5 eps of it are on one. And I hope that somehow Tales of Earthsea will make it into theatres or DVD sometime next year in North America.
