i had heard that depending on the theatre, one might run beofre that the other. although i can see why they might put rr's first to discourage walkouts.

I just hope that Miramax will constantly switch the order of the two films, so you could see Planet Terror, then Death Proof one day, then switched around another.
so, planet terror is the A film...

He's actually on one of the lobby cards... and that was a common thing to do in the '70s, especially for drive-in type exploitation features. I have many lobby cards that feature the director... um... directing. Could be ego, but I'd bet it was intentionally done to nod to the lobby cards of the '70s.
I have an idea..

How about they start making real movies again rather than this sack of shit? Anyone remember Four Rooms? Neither do I..

I wonder how far down the street can I make it running with this thing before I get caught by the theater people... I think there's only one way to find out. (Or maybe I'll pull an Ocean's 11 kinda heist)

Nah man, I'm 32 so I was too young for in the 70s for exploitation double features at the drive in, but 80s drive in? I was there. I saw double features at the drive in and it was a cool feeling. 70s exploitation films can be awesome if you're in the mood for that. These two guys know there shit in terms of film genres and they're in love with the horror/slasher style, which was apparant in the trailer that leaked a few months back, all scratched up and shit. I'm telling you man, don't talk too soon about this one, it will surprise many people. Okay, and some will probably hate it, like I said, you have to be in the mood. I can't wait. peace.

It does not make sense. It seems when a few people start hating something on this site everyone must jump on the band wagon. Half the time the someone will be all ga-ga for something, then a month later realize that someone with a vocal opinion says it sucks and then they have to be the same way. It is frustrating. I loved the Kill Bill's. They were so refreshing and were a lot of fun. From a photography stand point the colors were just right and the music was perfectly chosen. He has not made a bad film yet. Hell, I even like the underated Jackie Brown. I can't wait to see what he does next. Granted I do not want to see another Kill Bill. I always want his work to be fresh and different. Everyone is entitaled to there own opinion, but it seems too many people on here like to jump on the band wagon of hate.

The real reason Tarantino's name is in giant letters on that is that the Weinstein brothers demand he put his name on their Asian films or else they would only release them in trimmed down versions with a rap soundtrack instead of making a subtitled uncut release available.

Having said that though I agree with you here. I was just razzin' ya.

Monkey, it's called a 'double feature'. No b movie (although they're both b movies in that sense). Points for trying so hard though. Especially with the lobby cards. ;) I love the idea of switching them around. They should do a random-play thing with the DVD too.

This is great, but when is THEY CALL HIM MACHETE due?

I needs to see it. I've based my life on Trejo. I first met Trejo in the film LOCK-UP, where, ironically (or due to just good casting) he played a prison inmate. I thought to myself, hmm.. That man is the shit! Then, when I saw him in MARKED FOR DEATH, I knew he was the shit... Well, that is, right up until he was unceremoniously murdered; I'm man enough to admit I cried. Then came DESPERADO, where he reveled in the part he was born to play: that of a Mexican man with a grizzled grill. That shit's alright, high five! Then we come to... Well, I'll gloss over the fact that he turned in McCauley and his crew in HEAT.. That was only because The Man was breathing down his neck. I can understand that, The Man doesn't stop breathing down mine some days. So, anyway, then he does BUBBLE BOY, which was pretty funny in a way, not least of which because of Trejo's moving performance in the part of Slim. I quote, "Patches? I could use some stinking patches." And, of course, the line reading that should have got him an Oscar nod, "Wildfire?" I still get tears when I think of it. Anyhoo, I know I glossed over a bunch of great shit, like FROM DUSK TILL DAWN and FROM DUSK TILL DAWN 2, but the point I'm trying to make is this: we come to today, yet another day which doesn't bring with it Trejo in a lead role. We want THEY CALL HIM MACHETE, and we want it soon!! Thank you for your time.

...what looks like an absolutely perfect cinema experience. These guys dont just make films, they make film experiences... trying to capture everything that they love about the movie-going experience. The SB logo at the front of Kill Bill was inspired. These guys are worthy of cinema-hero status. They stand for what they believe in, they have the strenth to do whats right. They have Turtle Power.... hey, wait a minute...

...I'm the kind of person who has a huge collection of drive-in concession stand bits, has all those Sinister Cinema drive-in double features with the intermission bits in between the movies, have drive-in movie nights at home where I make the kids and allow my sadly like-minded friends to sit through four or five movie marathons of classic 70s-80s (and sometimes 60s) drive-in classics. If you don't like what Q and R are doing fine, it's not for you, move on, but for a lot of us who grew up learning to love the movies by watching the films these guys are paying homage to, this (like nearly all of Tarantino's career and an awful lot of what Rodriguez has done) is just an incredible gift. And if you did grow up loving those movies you know there's no element of ripping them off. What these guys are doing is taking those movies and putting on screen the way you saw them in your head afterwards. Thanks. And I'm going to get that stand-up.

Although I read the site all the time,I've never felt the urge to join in. That is until I saw this! I work at an Odeon Cinema in England, and i'm in charge of posters and standees. Which means that it is my task to make up the damn thing! Judging by the size of it, I'm going to have a fuckin nightmare of a time with this beast. Trust 2 of my favourite directors to screw my over. Cheers fellas. (all that said....... It's pretty fuckin cool!)
