Simon Barsinister and Cad were both human villains. Riff Raff waas not. I went back and watched them a couple years ago. They're really not very good at all. Whereas the Bullwinkle 'toons hold up as witty and absurd as ever, Underdog is often just rather dull.

which could be a good thing if your a dog. The Fan Base for this cartoon are in their late 40's so I can see why the filmmakers just blew us off and did a really stupid kids movie that has NOTHING to do with Underdog and should be called SUPERPOOCH or something other than UNDERDOG. (Heard the news on the radio : ( RIP Joe Barbera , You lived a wonderful long life). Why can't we get THE MIGHTY HEROS movie? that would be funny for kids & adults.

rid, is going to suck and bastardize yet another fun memory from the past. Yes, it will appeal to kiddies and maybe some nostalgic mommies and daddies in their mid to upper 30's but bottom line, it will leave only a shit taste in your mouth after veiwing, and will end up making you question your memories of youth, wondering if the cartoon - though appealing back then - was actually, really, any good. In the end, it will be just another fond memory sodomized by the powers that be who enjoy cashing in on the past and green lighting every fucking movie "remake" that comes down the pipe. But if they play the origonal Underdog song .... "OOOO Wa-OOO Wa-OOO Wa-OOO ...." I'm buying the sound track and will be there openning fucking night humming along.

I fully understand this is meant to be watched and "enjoyed" by kids who have never heard of Underdog before, but still... Sadly - I fear I'll be giving this turd a few bucks since my 7-year old loves dogs and superheros, but they better have him say "Not bird nor plane or even frog - It's just little old me > Underdog", or there WILL be Hell to pay. I will give them props for the tag line however.

so they anthropomorphise penguins, and dogopomorphise already-anthropomorphic cartoon dogs (see also, Odie). Also, Austin's own Butthole Surfers did an awesome cover of the Underdog theme.

I have often said it would be impossible to make a good live-action Underdog movie. I still think that is likely the case, but I am much more excited seeing this actual dog than that scooby-do cgi blobby thingy. Wasn't Underdog's ememy OverCAT, or am I just remembering wrong?

Underdog was, at its best, a passable way to waste a half hour for an eight year old. the movie will be the same way. and so what if the kids don't know who underdog is? it's a flying cute doggie. It's like Superman without the creepy stalker "I'm always watching you, Lois" angle. odds are the kiddys'll enjoy it just fine, and they'll give it a fivefold better box office than it would have had if it had been a faithful attempt to recreate the classic franchise purely for the benefit of loyal classic Underdog loyalist snob geek nerds, who will bitch about this in the talkback but wouldn't have gone to see if anyhow so what does their opinion matter?

You would think after the tragedy that was ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE these so called film-makers would catch on! Don't screw around with a pop icon! I actually called SPYGLASS and said to the person whom answered that the film looked like a dud and her response was "wait to you see it, it is hysterical" I replied "Underdog is not supposed to be hysterical but heroic!" I have know artist Joe Harris the creator of Underdog he had his fellow creators whom made the show happen should have been involved as they all know the character!
