"You were the rigger, I was the trigger". Or was that the other way around? What ev, that movie was great. Lots of people like to attack Stallone's later (post-80s action) output, but it was certainly a lot better than Schwarzenegger's (Sixth Day anyone?) and any of the other 80s action stars (with the exception of Willis, who graced us with Pulp Fiction, Sixth Sense, and Unbreakable, but then again also gave us both Hudson Hawk and Armageddon, so I guess maybe it all evens out, haha).

Whatever you want to say about Stallone in the 90s, at least he still makes a better action star than Nicolas fucking Cage. He's certainly more attractive than any of the other action stars of the time. I think I had my first awakening watching the infamous bicep closeup / knife sharpening scene in First Blood Part II. Maybe that's too much info, but there it is. :)

Rambo cricket! He does recon for Rambo, gives different cricket signals for 'all clear' ' there are 3 guards ahead' etc.. Rambo charges through the brush, with Rambo cricket hopping down on his shoulder. During battle RC lets him know when he's running low on ammo or being approached from behind by staying in his ear to be heard above the gunfire... Oh, and I'm whining again for Sly to answer my questions.

Mr. Stallone - This is so cool. I'm an '80s baby, and having "Rocky Balboa" come back during this oppressive 8-year administration is just what I and my generation needed. You're a hero to all of us and it's great to see you taking Hollywood by the balls once again. Best of luck and thanks for coming through with these ?s like a consummate pro. Happy Birthday Harry!!! - You're 35? MotherFucker, that means I started reading this site when I was 11! Bonkers. Stallone/Rocky is an inspiration
by filmbuff13
Dec 12th, 2006
01:46:40 AM
Stallone (and Rocky) is the ultimate underdog story in Hollywood history. I'm a working actor in l.a. but it's still rare to get the chance to audition for many big films. I went in about a year ago for a very small role in Rocky Balboa and ran into Stallone in the hallway. He's such an inspiring figure that I became completely tongue-tied and seemed to forget I had a job to do. I ended up just gushing into the camera about how well I hoped the movie would do and about how much the Rocky films have meant to me personally. Now I've been around the block, working with big stars like Pacino so I wasn't sure where this unprofessionalness came from. But I thought about it and I think these movies are just a huge inspiration to so many of us (enough to make me sound like a 12 year-old schoolgirl). Anyway, I'm really enjoying this Q & A and I'm hoping this movie does well. I can't wait for next Wednesday!!

paying Carl Weathers
by Anakin Whoopass
Dec 12th, 2006
07:13:15 AM
Actors have to get paid if footage of them is used in a different movie regardless of who owns the movie. Stallone should do a cut that includes the footage, put it in a vault, and wait for Carl Weathers to drop his price to be on some future DVD release. Worst case someone might be able to release that version after Weathers has passed away, like with Marlon Brando in Superman II, dealing with the estate instead of the man.

I mean, I can sort of see why they might get pissed - but its not like the film is saying Thailand as a country is evil - its just where they've decided to set the story. I think any country getting precious about a film in this way - and I say this as a Brit who watched "The Patriot" - is setting themselves up for a fall. High Five!

if Rambo 4 is trying to make current uneasiness (of which there is very little) into something big, then it could seriously damage Thailand;s economy, by way of fucking up their tourism. How many people spend their holiday money on a trip to Afganistan? Or Cambodia for that matter, even after so much time has passed. Just be careful, is all I say to Mr. Stallone. London's tourism still hasn't recovered since all you Yanks really believed that the government was infiltrated by aliens!

This question series has been great. I've told all my friends to check it out, and everyone's commented on how they didn't know Sly would be so witty and funny. More stars should use this idea. The fact that he even mentioned Leo Gorcey makes me smile. Leo Gorcey was probably one of the greatest actors of the '30's, '40's, and '50's. The fact that the Bowery Boys movies are not available on DVD is a travesty.

...good job you never had to do any real hard labour in your life then. When i worked in a steel works back in the 1980's, if you didn't get into the showers with the other blokes or help clean the ingrained dirt from someone's back then you would have been viewed with suspicion to say the least. To call it repulsive - well, i found that offensive to every blue collar guy who doesn't want to take their dirt home with them. Stallone always did come across as a mentally-challenged chap. I had to have a chuckle after the Rambo IV remark. Is he serious..? After the shite that was Rambo III..? And without a Crenna in sight to give it the gravitas (sic) required..? Yes, it is nice of Sly to come here and answer all these questions from the less intelligent members of the AICN community (and kerrrrist knows its gonna take some time getting those brown stains off their schnozes) but why such inane crud..? WHy not ask him if he's been approached to make 'Italian Stallion II' (with his career being at an all-time low)..? What about 'How many facelifts/ liposuctions have you had in the last ten years. As a commie bastard i'd just like to say... it's great to have you back Mr.Stallone. Us commies need a hate figure now Arnie's decided to go all soft (because he knows the Republican's days of popularity are numbered/gone). actually i used to just be like "raaaam-boooow!" like a cartoon villian when he escaped yet again. As for Rambo IV, if Stallone is being censored by the Thai government, then why bother filming in Thailand? Why not re-write the script to be in China, or some other place? Why must it be Thailand?
Yeah I've always wondered why Rambo had to be in a Thai monestary. Is that the only place he can find peace? Why can't he find a place in the U.S.? Live quietly in the countryside....grow a walnut farm or something. Or maybe join the Amish. Why must it be Thai?

C'mon Harry, give Sly the good stuff. Leave the basic "safe" questions for E! or Hollywood Roundup. We know he wants 'em, hell he has more fun with those than with a generic one. Sylvester Stallone is more than just Rambo and Rocky. He seems to be a relatively intelligent, complex person. How about some more original questions? How about ANYTHING non-movie related? I sent in questions asking him about what cars he's driven, which he's liked....and asked if he was a protective father and what he feels are the benefits and hazards of having a moviestar dad.....things like that. Don't ask him about Rocky again....

Cause I think MSNBC could have at least mentioned where Stallone said the thing about Gere? Cause I think this whole Q&A thing has something original and fresh about it and think it's fucked up that it's not getting any credit outside of here? That's a really original name, btw... seriously, the Michael Bay shit is tired and fucking annoying, just like every other TB catch-phrase.

If I were christian, I'd have entered "Christ..." on the subject line
Look, Harry, as with the Supes crap, as with the Kong crap, as with the Godzilla crap... we know you've sold out. Why continue to admonish yourself? I truly hope those dollar bills are worth it. You liberals keep chastising the rest of us to spread it around...
Superbowl halftime is not Michael Jackson?

I wanted him to stand there for 10 minutes again. That was awesome.
I think Harry enjoys making us wait.

...if you really want to make a point of some kind while retaliating, then I would suggest you write something that actually makes sense. I know it's hard to believe, but most of us outgrew non-sequitor insults by the sixth grade.

Well, i have been happily married twelve years with two beautiful daughters. Plus my wife gives a fantastic blow job. I also (much like the TV producers kid in 'CurbYE') was born with a 'huge cock' that, as a proud Yorkshireman, i've been happy to display on my many travels around the globe. What's your excuse..? Not had a girlfriend yet..? Still watching Stallone movies to 'bang one out'..? I'm sorry but the guy punches slabs of meat and thinks it to be 'cool' lol. The only thing that was ever cool about Sly was the fact that he opened a 'restaurant chain' (loosely speaking) that sold pretty fine cheeseburgers. As a footnote... when i was at comprehensive school (80-88) all the idiots who lacked education were besotted by Sly and would lap up every pirate video whilst I, and my intelligent brethren were realising the mysterious beauty of Powell and Pressburger, the immediacy of Hitchcock and (at that time) the power of actors like De Niro/Brando/Newman/Huston. Of all the dicks to interview... made me chuckle though at how the man lives in denial.
Oh yeah!
