He picks interesting projects to be a part of and is shaping up to be a pretty good director.

Why does every review on this site have at least one paragraph going into the reviewer's girlfriend or would-be girlfriend in a completely irrelevant way? WE GET IT - you found a morbidly obese person who happened to be missing a penis to go to a movie with you. Can you just stick to the actual review (i.e. the part that people might possibly care about)?
how you gonna trash Old School like that?

it's funny how he managed to make his review like the opening scroll of Star Wars - all six episodes COMBINED. Geez that was a long review. I think the Ghettysberg Address was shorter.

Fucken hilarious. Without a doubt. Just wanted to add a little bit about the great supporting cast...the bouncer was played by Craig Robinson who plays Daryl, on the Office, the warehouse manager. The executives are played by Alan Tudyk of Firefly and Serenity fame, and Kristen Wiig from SNL, who honestly steals all 2 or 3 scenes she's in.

...but if it comes down to hot date that, who knows, might someday be hot girlfriend and more (especially if you've not been on a date in a long time)...versus a film that's coming out anyway. You know what, I'm going to put on the clean undies, shower in deoderant and aftershave and meet me a hot girl. Or is that just me??
I'm sure this is a funny movie but come on!

You've been slobbering over this for months. And you open your 'review' by saying the man behind it is someone you respect and envey over all others in the movies. Riiiight. Just give your review, you don't have to suck him off in public. Show some class.

MiraJeff, you aspire to sleep with a girl who is out of your league, yet you mention that you basically bailed on a hot girl in order to see an Apatow movie? that's not gonna help you get the job done, son. for shame. your penis does not forgive you.

The Gettysburg Address is 270 words long. It is reknowned for its compellingness despite its brevity. Knowing is half the battle.

sorry, caught in traffic?! Then gives you the okay to see the movie yourself. She was relieved she got out of that so easy! It's that hot girl in accounting you cornered at work isn't it? Just messing with you Mira. Look forward to this movie in about a year in a half.

taht have little to do with - I don't know - THE REVIEW OF THE GOD DAMN MOVIE!!?!? I love Apatow and crew and am looking forward to this but no matter how much Rogen does in fact rule - I would not be a tool and yell it out in public. And vinceklortho is right - you gave her an easy out to what was sure to be a shitty, non-eventful night out with a tool.

God, I just wanted to slap the shit out of this guy writing the review. His style, tone and words just angered me to no end. Don't let this turd send in any more reviews. Talk about a public suck off. I'm an Apatow fan, but this even this review made me wretch.
Katherine Heigl ?!?

I thought the female lead in this pic was gonna be Anne Hathaway! Heigl is OK & all ( I guess -- I don't watch Gray's Anatomy", being straight and all ) but Hathaway isn't afraid to show the goods and I'd imagine a flick that features a celeb nude website would remember rule number 1: Skin to win, Baby !

WTF? Old School was a funny, entertaining comedy. How exactly did it have no soul to it? It perfectly captures that feeling you get around 30 when you panic and just want to turn 19 again and drink with your buddies and meet chicks.
"War And Peace" was shorter...

What an egotistical jackass this guy comes accross. Christ, i'm suppose to read that novel of a review? Making it long-winded doesn't make it good.

Seriously. People act like reading this review is some sort of sisyphean task to be completed, and you just made it that much harder by actually bothering to include context and depth. You bastard, how could you? Although giving the verbal smackdown to Old School wasn't the best choice. Nor was your ill-fated attempt at a Michael J. Fox joke. (Yes, I get it; he has Parkinson's, which means he would give a shitty haircut. Got it.) Also? Don't be the guy that yells in the theater, and then congratulates himself because he drew a few titters. It wasn't funny. Trust me. But still, I enjoyed your review.

damn, everyone needs to stop riding mirajeff. from all the reviews ive read, the writer is well spoken, professional, and honest in his opinions. i agree he needs to tone down the personal stuff, and not always be so verbose, but come one, in these times where anyone can write in any bullshit about anything, i think mirajeff is a standout amongst the over abundance of self righteous arrogantly opionated assholes.

Why is every frickin review for this damn movie so damn long? OK, 'Knocked Up' is the best movie ever so please tell us how much you love the director, who the director reminds you of, your original plans before you had a gift from God drop into your lap (tickets to the screening), your new plans afterward, describe the opening credits, describe the font used in said opening credits, explain the cinematography of the first shot etc etc etc. Think I'VE written too much in response (and I believe I have)? I haven't even read the whole damn thing yet!
