J-Rock acts never come to the UK. Obviously the market isn't as big the US but you'd be surprised at the amount of J-Rock lovers here. A couple shows here and there wouldn't hurt. Same goes for J-Hip Hop acts also.

Can't wait to hear Kanno's work on Solid State Society. Her music always continues to amaze me. I wonder if "Gabriela Robin" will sing on one of the songs. ;P

not Tezaku. i realize that spelling errors are commonplace around here, but when you fuck up the name of the Godfather of Manga in a damned anime column, it bears reprimand.

There are so many things that are issued this time of year and sometimes I have a lot of trouble deciding. Last Thursday I was at a friend's place and someone started talking about a manga art book. I now realize they were talking about "Mangaka America" and so another thing gets added to the list. Some of the people at the gathering were wondering why I was muttering "Kero" under my breath. Not everyone there is as into anime as I am so I had fun explaining. I guess I was just really happy that night. I don't know why I like the "Gunso" but I am looking forward to the first volumes being released. I hope ADV does a good job with all the jokes and Gundam references. Nice to see one of my old favorites included in that CUT list- Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer - as I have always had a soft spot for it. I found a used copy not long ago. Why has "Mindgame" not been released? I want to see it so bad !! So much is coming out in the next few weeks: the final volume of Kamichu and the delayed FLCL boxset with all the new music videos. Nice column !! Happy Happy !!

I'm actually really excited about Coyote Ragtime Show. Haven't seen it yet, but the character designs look great (along with the production quality)! So, who's seen it and is it good?

Man it's been so long since I've heard anything by Yoko Kanno... has she done anything between Arjuna/Wolf's Rain/GITSSAC and this film that I may have missed? Heard something about some series having to do with mechs and water or something...

Live Action: Woman of Water, Kamikaze Girls, Ashura, Su-ki-da Anime: Oban: Star Racers theme, and Honey and Clover adaptation. That's all I know of at the moment.
