the weather in cardiff last year...

I can back up what Graeme Harper said about the weather in Cardiff last year. They shot a lot of it outside my house and in the area, and it was the coldest it's been in years. The poor Cybermen were in dressing gowns and coats until they were needed, but they were shivering and shaking so much that the noise was coming up on the mikes. I tried a Cybermen helmet on (it only just went over my face: man those guys had small noses), but it was freezing! Mind, I also felt sorry for Billie Piper. She had on a maid's outfit and whenever they called 'cut' she was straight into a massive warm jacket and a hot drink. ... I can see what mr Harper meant about the pre-release pictures. A lot of us locals had pictures of the Cybermen and none of us gave them to the press, even when they came around asking if anyone had any pictures. We know how to keep a secret in Cardiff Bay! can't wait to see what Graeme does with this season's block. Typically though, it's blasted perishing again as they film. At least Torchwood had a long hot summer, even though they've hit the cold weather now as they finish off. Nos Da.
Maybe Kneale wasn't well known enough...

in the US? I e-mailed in about him yesterday. He was a true visonary though and deserves as much recognition on this site as some of the lesser known actors get. So, if you don't know who he was do a little reseach and track down some of his stuff that the best way to remember him.
While you're doing that...

I'm loving these interviews and I love the new Who! And to top it off Torchwood is kicking all sorts of ass! WOOHOO for Brit Sci Fi!
"The Age of Steel" -- **** (out of 5)

The second part of "Rise of the Cybermen" airing tonight is a bit better than the first, with considerably more action and a genuinely creepy scene (providing Sci Fi doesn't cut it to make room for commercials) of the Doctor and Mrs. Moore sneaking through a long, dark tunnel housing powered-down Cybermen that start to wake up halfway through. Also, be sure to look out for Mickey finally stepping up to the plate instead of being the "tin dog" and some decent setup for the upcoming "Army of Ghosts/Doomsday."

Dr.Who will loose his hand in this years Christmas Special. It grows back, obviously. Torchwood will keep the severed hand in a jar oh, ***SOILER***

Wrong. The Doctor lost his hand in LAST YEAR'S Christmas special (the one introducing the new Doctor) while swordfighting an alien over London. But yeah, that was my theory on Captain Jack's hand in a jar as well.

That was the 1st episode I saw of the new Dr Who series. Very very nice. Will have to rent them all.
