Lots of great gross-out moments, and some really funny lines. This was a solid horror entry that got unjustly ignored. Perfect rental for Halloween.
Oh, and the movie is very good.

Twas better than i expected - up there with Shawn Of The Dead! Anyways horror movies suck these days, take Land of the Dead for example... what a jip! Fuckin shit it was! horror movies just aint scary any more so if they can just be really gory, yet have a sense of humour about it then thats cool wit me!

that off-the-cuff one liner talent that Harrison Ford had back in the day, and he deserves to be a huge star. Luckily, his next role will likely garner some awards attention; he's playing the lead in White Noise 2. . . . What?

He's cool. I like him since he joined the cast of Two Guys, A Girl And A Pizza Place...but then I never saw another production with him. I will check out Slither, when the DVD hits Germany in a few weeks. :D Wanted to see it when I was in Canada, back in March/April, but I didn't found a thatre where they played it BLABLABLA...

The AICN crew despise doing set visits, 'cause it makes it so hard when they all have to savage the movie later in their brutally honest and objective reviews. Har har!

Fillion's good... he deserves more. Hopefully someone will see that and give him the right opportunity, or he'll make an opportunity for himself. He was awesome in Firefly.

It was....funny...horrific...chil ling...hillarious. I enjoyed the ride. I won't reiterate what others have said about Fillion. He's great. Firefly fantastic. But let's not forget about Elizabeth Banks in this. Hot stuff. And the almighty Michael Rooker...turning a role destined to turn this movie into one of those late night horror movies that you always talk about but can't remember the name..."god, remember that movie where the guys turns into this huge pustule at the end..." And let's not forget the brilliant use of...OMG what friggin song was in that movie...what song was it!!!!???? --G

Slither was an excellent, unimportant flick. I skipped out of work to watch it and it delivered a fun gooey film. It didn't drag and there were no "Crap that was shitty moments" so stop whining about this movie. Is it the best film ever? Nope, but it was a fun stupid popcorn flick. If soul is too shrivled up to see that stop watching movies.

...is "Baby I Love You" by the Yayhoos. It's on the movie soundtrack in an edited version; the uncensored take is on the band's album "Fear Not the Obvious." ----My 2 cents: Slither's not the best horror movie, neither the scariest nor the funniest, but I enjoyed it as good dumb B-movie fun (which is what it aimed to be, so I consider it a success.) I'll be picking up the DVD soon.

These are the people who are going to make a prequel to The Thing. So they definetly got the gore down and some humor.

was great in Saving Private Ryan...I totally bought that he was fake crying! no seriously, he's not bad, I agree he can deliver a dry funny line pretty well. but, I just rented this (lying, sorry, I downloaded it on Bearshare) and it really was mediocre. not horrible, some funny and good gross moments, but it felt like half a movie. I really wanted to love it, I loved Lollilove, and every interview with Gunn has left me thinking this guy is legitimate. I'll see his next one definitely. this showed a lot of potential, and the shot selection was great, the one-liners were good, just needed more meat to it (no pun intended). and I thought the Mayor was a scenery chewer if every I saw one. and I ever saw one, trust me. I make low budget short films where I can barely afford to pay the "actors" scale. that guy sucked.

you re using the word meh like it is a real word. are you 12? you idiot. This movie was pretty funny too like a homage to countless older monster flicks, although I don't buy the fact that Gun says he never saw Night Of the Creeps.

I did not know that before this review, so thanks for that. Maybe I'll watch this Slither tonight. This Nathan Fillion seems like a pretty funny, charismatic kind of guy, so I hope to see him in some films that make good use of him.

yeah, cause that Saving Private Ryan movie really tanked, didn't it. He's just not well known enough. All it'll take is him in a supporting role with a big star and people will suddenly be talking "Nathan Fillion's breakout role!" when he steals the show.

We had a great time at this movie! Banks and Rooker were terrific, Fillion was too (not even fans of Firefly). It seems like all the "monster/creature" style flicks have failed lately (Slither, both "cave" flicks) but slasher films, *especially* with twist endings always do well. I think in the case of the latter, the word-of-mouth marketing marketing works better ("dude, you've got to see [this super gory moment]" or "omg, you'll never guess what happens at the end" - the general public and the target demo are really into gimmicky sort of horror. Slither had a 50's sort of creature feature feel, and while it had its moments (some a little overly self-aware), there wasn't any "you won't this part" bits like Saw(s), Hostile, etc. Definitely worth a position in a netflix queue, and probably a good double feature with Shaun of the Dead! ~ Stiffy Out ~

I didn't think it was quite up to the "American Werewolf in London" standard of horror/humor, but it definitely was a lot of fun. I laughed my ass off when the old lady zombie with blood dripping from her mouth chased the mayor up the stairs yelling "Fucking Republican!!" It was refreshing to see a funny horror film that didn't try to hard to go the stale, self-awareness route of "Scream". I love the fact that they put some Gordon/Yuzna style into the makeup effects, channeling films like "Society" and "From Beyond". Fillion needs to be getting more work. Maybe he needs to hire Liz Banks' agent, since she's showing up in more films. I think Rooker is a horribly underrated actor, but I couldn't help hearing Robert Duval's voice over the NASCAR headset in the scene where he was surrounded: "You mess with Rowdy Burns and you're gonna get a REAL Ass Kicking!"

...the best line in the whole movie is the mayor's rant, "Where's the goddamn Mr. Pibb? Pardy, you told me your secretary was getting Mr. Pibb, so where's the goddamn Mr. Pibb?! Goddamn! It's the only goddamn fuckin' kind of Coke that I like!" Hysterical stuff. Very southern.

This hokey piece of crapola, purported to be a loveletter to eighties schlock. It wasnt, it was just a bland, mediocre, rubbery turd. The effects were sub-eighties and they looked like shit.Think of any half decent eighties genre flick,it was better. ,Gunn says that he's a fan of CARPENTER'S THING,AND THAT THAT MOVIE WAS THEIR ON SET BIBLE!!! Gunn is an incomptent buffoon who should get the fuck back to TROMA.
