Is the advance word on "Magical Starsign" positive? I'd love a decent RPG on the DS. Old-school gameplay + a decent story (with a solid translation) would make me happy.

I was watching Dawn of the Dead for the first time, and they were entering the mall, and that Asian guy with one arm was chasin' them, and I didn't catch that.

Good flick so far. And DAMN, Sarah Polley grew up nice! :)

There's not a whole lot in that movie that screams "video game". At least I know to whack Orange right away. And yes, Sarah Polly is hot.

yeah i just saw this.. ...starting with 20 playable Marvel Super Heroes, and unlocking even more as you progress. Experience the full scale of the Marvel universe with a combined cast of over 140 characters. villians, npcs, etc. still looks good. i'm glad it's on ps2. i'm going to rent it soon.

games, movies, etc Sherm, I'm kinda ashamed you are just now seeing Dawn Of The Dead - on crappily edited basic cable to boot.
This Column Is A Waste

Harry, Mori...whoever...just stop it. It's not that Aintitcool doesn't need a games column...they DO. But they don't need this. There's absolutely nothing on this column that's faintly original or insightful. The 'writer' leeches off of Amazon and lists blurbs... he admits to not knowing much about the titles he's listing, or putting them in any sort of relative context (such as Mori does with his DVD column). PLUS, he's continually wrong with his information...not off base, but wrong... Harry and Co. this company is not just a damaging angle of Aintitcool, but smacks of being desperate. PLEASE MAKE IT STOP...this is embarrassing for both your site and the games industry. Please.

Bill: get Contact, or at least read up on it. If you're looking for a quality RPG for the DS, it's a good place to start. repus: I agree wholeheartedly. If AICN wants to cover games--which I think it should--it needs to stay away from this half-assed and poorly written column. It's consistently disappointing.

The word on Magical starsign is definitely positive. I think the only reason it is not getting so much attention is that it 's over shadowed by FF 3.

As far as the character for Marvel: Ultimate Alliance

From what I understand, this is a (incomplete) list of playable characters that are confirmed for the game. Keep in mind that there are supposedly around 30 in total, if you count the unlockables. Captain America, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider, Blade, Elektra, Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, The Thing, Wolverine, Iceman, Storm, Colossus, Luke Cage, Deadpool, Black Panther, and The Silver Surfer. Seems like a pretty good starting list to me. Though there are many others that I would love to see, either because I would enjoy seeing how thier powers translate to the game or because I simply like them. Among them: The Hulk, Hawkeye (sure, he's kinda gay, but I'm a sucker for archer characters), Cyclops, Daredevil, Henry Pym, Quicksilver, Vision, Namor, The Punisher, Archangel, and Ronin. Also, how cool would it be to be able to play as a mob of supervillians (Dr. Doom, Magneto, Doc Ock, etc.)? Seems like that would make for some pretty interesting battles. Especially if they could incorporate X-Box Live somehow...

Sums up this column. If the writer isn't going to bother playing these games then what is the point? This games column is definitely needed here on AICN, but have some OPINION on the games, not a copy & paste of the Amazon description!

The only thing they cut (I'm guessing) was the language and they blurred out a few sex scenes, other than that it was plenty gory.

I believe USA said it was the "Uncut, Directors Cut" of the film.

I dug it, even though instead of having a Bruce Campbell lookalike they should have got the real thing.

Too bad they all supposedly died at the end, I woulda liked a sequel.

THAT is what Resident Evil should have been like.

This column is embarrassingly devoid of any interesting information. How about changing the column so that there is a review of 1 or 2 games each week that the reviewer HAS ACTUALLY PLAYED. A little less quantity and a little more quality can go a long way, I can get this kind of info on amazon.

Trying to remember a great game I played on the Saturn. I think it was called *toy commander* and it had you completing various missions in planes, tanks, on foot etc. it was pretty bloody good. Anybody know if there was a toy commander 2 or is a new version coming (obviously not on the saturn)? The DS would be perfect for something like this.
