This is by no means a through outline, just some basics to get you interested.. A girl in Lain's class commits suicide, and a few days later, she sends an email to Lain and her classmates. Lain becomes enraptured with the virtual world and eventually becomes less introverted. Eventually she gets so hooked she wants to upload herself into the 'net'. What this means is open to interpretation as there's tons of symbolism and psychological existentialism explored over the course of the series. Or is that only the free pick thing for the Lain DVDs? Cool thing is I picked up 3 out of 4 of them at Wal Mart for $8 a piece! Then spent $25 on the other one. Good deal, there's some real treasures there at Walmart, but I tihnk they're catching on as I can no longer find any more... After this, I'd like to have a contest for Texhnolyze and Ergo Proxy. Not that I'm entering, but I'd like some more in depth details about what went on in those... particularly Texhnolyze...
