...because VW is notorious for not releasing their designs and models for the purposes of promoting "war toys" due to their inglorious past and origins. They do not want to promote that image and therefore VW has no longer allowed Hasbro/Takara/Transformers to use VW designs for their cars. This is why we've never seen an "Alternators / Binaltech" edition of Bumblebee as a VW Bug, though one was certainly in the design stages. The same goes for Autobot Jazz. Jazz will never be portrayed as a Porsche in the future for identical reasons. Please get your sources correct; it has nothing to do with royalties.

...but I think the Shat has sort of embraced his buffoonery. He seems to laugh at himself as much as we laugh at him (or, at least, knowingly sets himself up to be laughed at and takes it in stride). I think the Hoff may still take himself somewhat seriously. Although I've heard his cameos in recent films indicate he's growing a sense of humor about himself, which would be cool.

Hoff should definately be ousted. The pilot was a great launching pad for the series. Too bad it turned into a shit-show later on. I hope that the producers find a decent car (Corvette, maybe?) to be KITT. I think it should have the same basic look as the old T/A. I pray that they don't use someting cheesy like a Solistice (that was a jab, Mr. Bay. Won't happen anyways from the sounds of it. Pontiac, you've shot yourself in the foot.), or a Toyota Yaris or something creepy like that.

These incredible shows are every bit as whitty, funny, deep and entertaining as the Knight Rider movie. I think we need to make sure that every TV show every made and distributed in America be developed into a feature film. The fact that theres new shows on all the time only gaurentees that the kids watching Hanna Montana today will DEMAND! the movie in 20 years.

Hopefully if this movie gets made, it'll bring about a DVD of Knight Rider 2010. The direct to TV "Action Pack" masterpiece that had little or nothing to do with the show and was Knight Rider INO. That movie is B-status GOLD. Also I never caught the Team Knight rider show, but a buddy of mine won't shut up about it. Anyone else familiar?

Watching that Hoff music video you could see KITT falling apart after every jump. Did they use outtakes or something for that music video? Now my memory of the show is naturally tinted rose, but I don't remember the car falling apart that badly after every stunt.

A 1982 Trans Am..!~ Well... At least for a small part of the movie till they introduce the "new" KITT... One of the main reasons the show "worked" at all, was the Roy Rogers and Trigger relationship between the Michael Knight and KITT.... They will have to try and recapture that for it to work....

There's a Dallas movie in the works. As for this Knight Rider movie and the Hoff's feud with Glen, I think it will end up just like the Richard Hatch/BSG thing with Glen and the Weinstein's making a movie that will be successful and then the Hoff signing on for the sequel in a small role just like when Hatch said fuck it and took a part in the new BSG becoming a huge sellout to his loyal fans that followed his classic BSG crusade for years. Not saying its good or bad just how I see it happening.

We've managed to enjoy some pretty wonderful advancements in technology since the 1980s. It is fairly common to have your car give you driving directions, and one interacts with voice-command bluetooth devices as well. How about they go the extra mile- how about a car that can find Usama bin Laden, or better yet a car that doesn't need foreign oil? Or maybe a car that can protect the value of the US dollar... I dunno, I'm just saying a talking car is kind of silly with the problems we face today.

There is no doubt that in the new Knight Rider film, they will impose the politically correct left wing standards of 2008 to the movie. KITT will probably be completely environmentally safe and not use any foreign oil. I heard that the ratings were a dud at the time after the movie came out, which is why they cancelled the new series featuring the woman, and that people were offended at the idea of someone else taking Micheal Knight's spot.
