The pilot episode was the weakest episdoe so far (go figure) so if you dropped then, it's worth a second look. Each episode the writers are getting a better handle of the "voice" of all the characters. Also, I think they stopped pretending Sticky or Stinky or whatever can fight, so most of the action scenes star Shatner's stunt double. It's a very dark show and I honestly can't believe that I look forward to it each week. As for Wesley.... whatever man...get your shit together.

Let's see a theatrical independent film showing us the Wesley Snipes of Mo' Better Blues, Waterdance, or even a crime drama like New Jack that allows him to stretch out. His fans will show up and support project like those...BTW, I'm glad Vern mentioned that rescue scene in Blade: Trinity. Snipes is on record stating that the movie hurt his rep.

The house Krista is infiltrating is House Cthon, not House Armaya. House Armaya is the House that (formerly) did not have a seat on the vamp council, and from whom Marcus was getting unwilling vamp subjects for his experiments. In my opinion, Blade is the weakest part of the show. I like Krista (now that she is a vamp, she finally learned how to dress), Chase, Marcus, and even Blade's asian handler. The little girl pureblood leader of Cthon (Charlotte) is even cool. Sticky Jones needs to improve his acting a bit, and his fighting a lot... and the writers need to realize that a relatively short black dude walking around with tons of hardware would probably result in a few 911 calls... Regardless, I like the series so far.

BAAAAADASSS (I'm sure that's spelled wrong) - not even slightly overrated, if anything it's underrated due to the MVP factor. That one is a great, great movie - one of the better movies about making movies I've seen, and certainly Mario's best movie. Only NEW JACK CITY even comes close - and that's debatable.

I'm not trying to start a left side/right side Ain't It Cool war. I just prefer the RCA cable vibe to the Coaxial. I figured if I sent this one to Herc it would be introduced with a snarky comment about the Blade show, followed by four references to Joss Whedon, six inside jokes about some other show I never heard of, and then 25 inches of gratuitous advertising you have to scroll through at the bottom. It's just not my thing so I snuck it in with the Wesley review. I think I made the right decision because it's nice to have Harry being respectful and backing me up about Wesley Snipes up there. But Herc's got his own kingdom going over there on the right, he's got his thing, I don't mean to be taking anything away from that. I think I'm just too old to understand what in fuck's name is going on over there so I feel threatened by it, like a bear when people start camping nearby.

There can be little argument that the Cannon films weren't particularly good movies, but there were highlights even in the worst of them... like in "10 to Midnight", a movie that would have been retarded even without its enormous amount of gratuitous male nudity, we do at least get to see Bronson menacing a suspect with a weird, flabby pocket pussy and barking, "YOU USE THIS FOR JACKING OFF!" And then, Cannon did bring us Death Wish III, a glorious and unique filmatic experience and the only one of the DW sequels that can stand on its own.

herc did slam the premier and I got the impression from then on the show was banned from the site. he also DID slam it, if I remember with some damn reference to Buffy or Angel - TIRESOME, even for me a fan of these. The first two hours of the series WERE A MISTAKEN. Bad in tone, too gratuitously violent, trying too hard to be edgy, the show changes a lot after that. Sticky fingers 's barking delivery is a problem, but after those couple hours it is a great series!! Personally I did not read spoliers, so I had no idea Krista was going to actually become a vampire and a double-agent, which probably helped my enjoyment. I've also been watching Supernatural for the first time this summer and I am enjoying that a lot a well, very surprised by the continuing storyline. These two shows deserved, imho, a spot on Coaxial, and as a weadon fan, I feel misled.

We do have ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST at #25 and THE GREAT ESCAPE just made it. Personally I was pushing for MR. MAJESTYK and THE MECHANIC to get on there, but they missed the cut due to democracy.

Come on, those two could have and should have been so much better than they were... Breakheart pass in particular was tragically dull, excepting the fight with the cook on top of the train and the always-reliable thuggery of Robert Tessier. Plus, Jill Ireland, whom I as a Bronson fan have no choice but to come to terms with, was above & beyond annoying. I guess I'll give Breakout some credit for giving Bronson a too-rare chance to flourish some comedic chops... fun to see him in the Burt-Reynolds-scoundrel role, although Burt of course couldn't hold a candle in the Toughness department. Still, if I want a Bronson comedy, I go straight for "Lola," to see him as a forty-something porn author shacked up with a little schoolgirl in swinging mod London... That was a very in depth analysis of Snipes. Does he really deserve it? I always had the impression that Snipes screwed himself out of any substantial movies and it doesn't matter if we want to give him the benefit of the doubt all that matters for his career is what the Hollywood powers that be think. I don't see them taking a chance on Snipes anytime soon. All I've seen of Blade the tv show was an episode where Blade was tied in chains and other Blade like guys beat him up and interrogated him (which was really nothing more than annoying gravilly voiced exposition dialogue) and blade sort of hissing every once in a while. I think the only reason this show is more vampire "procedural" and dramatic than the movies is becuase they don't have the budget for balls out action every episode, simple as that. Good enough for Spike TV but probably wouldn't have a shot on FX or HBO.

I don't know what kind of crack you people are smoking, but the series is aweful. Every second rate Canadian actor is in it, and they are fucking up Blade's story so badly I almost have to ask why they are bothering to make the series a sequel to the films at all. Just make it it's own myhtology, and re-invent blade anew. Richard Roundtree is his father, and looks nothing like the actor who plays Blade's father when Blade is a kid. The young Whistler is terrible. The fellow who blade Van Sciver, the girl who plays Krista, and Blade's asian sidekick are the only people in the series with any acting chops at all. It had low rent production visuals, and it just LOOKS like every Canadian TV show I have ever seen. It's aweful, painful, and should not be on the air!!!!!!!

Has Goyer gone on record to confirm this? While nothing of note in the 8 episodes so far runs against the events of the three movies, the series feels like it's in its own continuity. I'm guessing Goyer for now is ensuring that events in the series don't directly contradict the movies, but this could change in future episodes should it be creatively necessary to do so.

...'cos Herc claimed at one point that D-VHS would be the successful successor to DVD. Bah ha ha ha ha. Sorry Herc, I just had to bring that up. As for Blade The Series, one does not have to wait for the DVD release to catch up if they haven't watched. The series is available on iTunes so no subscription to cable tv needed to be legal to watch it. I like it, which I even surprise myself since I wanted Michael Jai White or Brian J. White to be the television Blade.

Go look at his interviews he gave while Blade2 was in production. He was complaining about the physical requirements and him getting hurt. He stated that he couldn't play Blade forever. So what does Goyer do? In response, he makes Blade3 into a launching vehicle for a separate Night Stalkers film series with Blade's role drastically reduced in the film. And then Snipes gets pissed over it and chokes Goyer on the set. Seems to me Goyer gave Snipes what he wanted and then Snipes snapped and then bitches over it. If you go back to the production time of Blade3, you'd notice that there were stories on SuperHeroHype about how a Blade tv series was already in negotiation between Spike and New Line. Thus again, it only made sense to try to use Blade3 as a launching vehicle for a spin-off since the tv series was essentially a sure thing. I'm sorry, but I'm siding with Goyer fully on this one. Plus, he wrote Batman Begins which negates all criticism of Blade3 or Nick Fury.

The pilot started kind of so-so... but I've watched every single episode since. I don't watch anything else on TV either except this because it's addicting. What really is groundbreaking for this show is the level of graphic violence shown and you forget this is TV. Show kind of reminds me of Nip/Tuck and The Wire. I do like how it has so many interesting stories all going on at once, which was a smart idea to not mainly focus on an actor that isn't Wesley Snipes. I'd download and check out all the episodes to catch yourself up, this series is really starting to kick ass.

If your star is concerned about getting hurt, IMHO you don't bring in two side kicks that Blade fans care nothing about, thus making Blade:Trinity a non-Blade movie -- many Blade fans stayed way because of that. Sorry I digress. To address your star's concerns about getting hurt you address it by how you choreograph the fight scenes. You use a stunt double and when the star is required you shoot the action sequence with far fewer takes. Come on, I absolutely loved the first Blade, but I can see which scenes Norrington and Snipe use a double.

If your star is concerned about getting hurt, IMHO you don't bring in two side kicks that Blade fans care nothing about, thus making Blade:Trinity a non-Blade movie -- many Blade fans stayed away because of that. Sorry I digress. To address your star's concerns about getting hurt, you address it by how you choreograph the fight scenes. Also, you use a stunt double and when the star is required you shoot the action sequence with far fewer takes. Come on, I absolutely loved the first Blade, but I can see which scenes Norrington and Snipes use a double.

I'm tired of people quoting bought good reviews for Batman Begins. It was a drool movie.., and a snooze fest!!! The execs at Warner were so hoping it was going to be good, they gave David Goyer the key to the city...In the end, they all got fucked!!! Batman Begins was no Spider Man, in terms of box office...and it's up coming sequel is not guaranteed either hit!!! Meanwhile, just months before, David Goyer, who falsely assumed that he was God, thanks to the praise he was getting for the self important Batman Begins script...a rip on Batman: Year One, that he was allowed to completely screw up the Blade franchise...And now, the finishing stake to the heart will be the Blade tv show which throws off the continuity by the casting of a new actor in the role. I mean...recasting a part has always been a turn off to me...and I think even though the James Bond films and Dr. Who have gotten away with it...I still think it tends to hurt a property over all...hence, one of the reasons Batman Begins wasn't as well received as it could have been. People have just been so confused over all the Batman recastings that...well, it pulls you away from investing too much in any of the movies...as a memeber of the audience. Anyway, they hopefully have Wesley Snipes on film choking David Goyer...cause, it would make fantastic footage for New Line to edit into Blade Trinity!!! The truth is...I myself want to choke Goyer so I can get my money back on Blade Trinity and Batman Begins!!!

I remember reading the article where Wesley stated that he couldn't play Blade forever. He said that he thought that he had one or so Blade movies left in him. I don't remeber him saying he was afraid of getting hurt. Please reproduce the article if possible because I think you are exaggerating Wesley's concerns. As for the show, the pilot was unimpressive. Anyone who complains that the pilot was too violent should go back to eating tofu and watching Desperate Houswives. Blade was a Restricted action movie series about a man who ruthlessly hunts down vampires with a gun, sword, and an assortment of other nasty sharp tools. Yeah, its violent. Duh! The creators of the series screwed up by not ensuring that the pilot was balls to the wall, so as to draw people in. Instead, the series has been a slow burn, and really started picking up around the 4'th episode. Now I'm addicted. But the fighting is still weak. The creators needed to spend more time on preproduction to ensure Sticky could move like a martial artist and that the choreography was exciting. Even though I want to see more action, I have to say that they pack in so much storyline into each episode that there isn't a lot of room for more action. Quality over quantity, therefore, is needed. Some imported Hong Kong talent might go a long way...

It was like the producers said, hey maybe we can increase the demographic if we made the series more Buffy like. Wesley may remain the most liked Blade, but he doesn't have to be the only one. The movie series could have been carried on with a different actor. Michael Jai White is 39 y.o. and may have been too old and or expensive for the tv series (especially if they plan on a 7 plus season run)

It sure as hell doesn't look like a sequel. Sticky sure can't do martial arts and swordplay like Snipes did. Sticky is has a thicker muscle build than Snipes. These little differences throw the whole thing off-kilter for me. It makes more sense for me to believe the show's a prequel than sequel because of these..eh..inconsistencies. So if Goyer says it's a continuation, so be it. But it sure doesn't look like it. ___KNEEL___

I really liked the first film, thought the second was OK, and thought the third should have been a Tv movie pilot for a knightstalkers series with Blade as a recurring character on the show. I think Sticky is a really horrible Blade. Snipes owned that role and still does. I never heard of him choking Goyer on set though, I thought they were talking about doing the Black Pather flick together.

I don't get the anti-Goyer sentiments here. I mean yes he wrote Demonic Toys, but that was a long time ago. The guy wrote the first two Blades all by himself, didn't he? Obviously the directors in both cases deserve a huge amount of credit, but if there is one guy most responsible for creating the movie version of Blade you gotta give it to Goyer, coming up with Blade as Shaft and samurai, Whistler's hilarious lines, the whole world of the vampire clans and the way Blade's operation works, and making the story build so well with complete seriousness and occasional bursts of humor. Yes, part 3 is not as good, but it's also not a total wash, it has alot of good shit in there including the humor with the young sidekicks. The main problem is that there just isn't enough Blade. But I gather from everything I read and from the extras on the DVD that Wesley is partly responsible - not showing up, being a jerk to the other actors and staying in his trailer smoking weed the whole time. I would also give Goyer credit for Batman Begins. I think that's a good movie and he might have written a better movie, considering how it sets up what could be some amazing fight sequences, like when Bruce Wayne has to fight the entire Shaolin Temple while it's on fire. If that was a Blade movie you know that would've been a showstopper of a fight scene. Also, Goyer deserves credit for developing this series, since it has turned out really good. Finally, about the casting. Like I said in the review, it's hard to get used to. But if they're gonna have a show they're gonna have to recast, that's reality. OF COURSE Wesley is not gonna do a weekly TV show. Did you expect he would? So if you don't like the casting that's understandable but of course they have to recast. And sometimes it can work. If they would ever get off their asses and release Karen Sisco on DVD you could see how easily Carla Gugino made you forget Jennifer Lopez from OUT OF SIGHT.

Blade was a success because of the unique combination of Stephen Norrington, Wesley, and Goyer. Lightning in a bottle. Blade 2 was good because Guillermo del Toro copied Norrington's style (he admits this on the DVD) and because, well, del Toro is a good director. The reason why there wasn't more Blade in Trinity was not because he stayed in his trailer! Jesus Christ, WTF is wrong with people? He stayed in his trailer, pissed off, because the movie was shit and he was practically written out of it. Yes Goyer deserves some positive credit, but he should stay the fuck away from a camera if he's doing an action pic. And I blame Goyer for the poor path Trinity took. Hell, the initial fight scene was done over the credits! BTW, Goyer had stated that some (a lot?) of the comedy was written in by some writers from The Simpsons, so he loses some writing credit there. And yes, Goyer deserves credit for Batman Begins and the fight scenes sucking is Christopher Nolan's fault.

Elcabio, dude, if you read the review above you know that I fucking WORSHIP Wesley Snipes. I'm the one always pushing for him to have a comeback and then I come into these talkbacks and people give me shit for it. But it has been widely reported that nobody could get along with Wesley, that he got in the fight with Goyer, etc. On the DVD they tiptoe around it but you hear how Wesley wouldn't speak to Ryan Reynolds, how key shots had to be done with his stunt double, that they even had to digitally open his eyes at the end (or close, I forget) because he wouldn't do the shot. So all I'm saying is he shares the blame. There was a pretty funny article about how (among other things) he wouldn't speak to Reynolds but would tell somebody else "tell that cracker to get his lines right" and shit like that. I think it's funny that he did some of this stuff but clearly it contributes to the lower quality of the movie. And since nobody seems willing to work with the poor guy anymore you gotta expect there's some truth to those stories. I agree with you that he had a right to be angry but if he really did that kind of unprofessional shit then he forced them to make the movie even more about the Nightstalkers and even less about Blade. Oh well. Whoever's to blame, those two guys obviously don't get along anymore, and that's a shame. I would've liked to see more Blade movies and anything else they would've done together. Too bad we didn't get to see that apocalyptic Blade 3 they almost did where it skips forward ten or fifteen years and the whole world is taken over by vampires.

Although it was dismissed out of hand by some, I've been watching from the beginning and its turned into a supercool show. Although Blade has only recently begun to be developed (odd for a show called "Blade"), I think it was necessary in order to develop an even more important thing -- the badguys, the victim/villians, and the byzantine "vampire politics." Look, lets face it: bad guys are always more interesting than good guys; and without strongly developed badguys and the immersive world, the whole thing falls apart. In addition, although there wasn't much development of Blade at first, they've been delving into his backstory alot more recently: prequel Whistler? Blade as a daywalker kid all effed up in the mindhole and emotionally traumatized; feasting on blood and wondering "what the fuck am I?!?!" Its all there. Sure, Snipes is missed, but Sticky is growing into the role; in recent episodes he appears to be more comfortable in the role and doesn't have to growl and mumble all the time. In short: this show is one to watch. Highly recommended for everyone from comic book fans to gothkids and horror buffs. True, BUFFY/ANGEL fans may be turned off by its grimmer, more serious, less self-aware tone, but, for my money, I was kinda getting sick of the Buffiverse's chatty jokiness. Oh, and did I mention that it features copious super gore-y bloodslattered mayhem 'sploitation where the chicks are hot and often partially nud; as (nude as tv will allow)? Yeah, if yr not, you should be watching...

How can you be a Blade fan? The first movie was a shabby, direct to DVD level action movie with a so-so one note performance from Snipes and a pretty good peformance from that pale asshole guy. It wasn't anything like the actual Blade comic book character and changed the vampires into eurotrash. Blade 2 took an interesting horror movie concept (uber-vampires that prey on other vampires) and turned it into a dumbass shoot 'em up barely enlivened by the overacting antics of the always fun Ron Perlman. Think about it: they spent the entrie movie shooting each other with guns. In a fucking vampire movie! And again, the vampires were all just trendy Eurotrash. Not inhuman monsters cursed by their addiction to blood. There wasn't a single scene in which Blade is forced to allow the vampires he was working with to feast on humans. What kind of writer misses that dramatic opportunity? The third one at least had two or three scenes that actually qualified as suspenseful, but again traded Wesley's non-existent star power for the supporting players. Yep, that's right. In Blade he was outclassed by the pasty indie guy and Kris Kristofferson. In Blade II he was out-scenery chewed by Ron Perlman and the vagina dentata vampire. In Blade III he out-snarked by Van Wilder and out-actioned by the hot dyke with the bow and arrow. And in none of the movies did the plot, history, or characters in anyway resemble the comic book. I mean, the third movie had Dracula, but instead of the Tomb Of Dracula suave, evil scheming badass we get the steroid bouncer guy from Breakout as... A eurotrash danceclub asshole. It's a bad franchise all around.

I don't think most of the talkbackers (if anybody's still reading this talkback) are going to pick up on your irony, though. For the uninformed, the comic book version of Blade was a late-era-Marvel comic based on a forgotten (and bordering on racist caricature) character from the old Tomb of Dracula comics. The newer version never attracted any talented writers, or even any particularly talented artists, so it was a fairly abysmal piece of work. They grouped it together with stuff like Morbius: The Living Vampire (anybody remember that one?). In short, NOBODY really cares that the movie (and TV show) didn't follow the plot of the comic book. Yeah, I know that too much explanation ruins a good joke, but I just wanted to chime in and clear things up for the non-comic-geeks on here.

it was obvious that something went badly wrong with third installment. Amen Ra is Snipes production company and he owns the rites to the series. He had hiring power on the previous movies and he rightly saw himself as the star. becuase he was the star. an unidentified woman claimed that snipes raped her. snipes reacted by placing via his production company an ad in the ny times. this ad stated, that snipes was suing not only New york but new line cinema. the ad went on to say that he was the the star of the show and that he and only he should decided who was going to be in the blade series. new line begged to differ. David s Goyer wrote in the story of the night stalkers against the wishes of snipes. The relationship was very frosty on set and snipes spoke to none of the other cast members. He kept himself to himself.

Act III plays out almost exactly how the alternate version of Blade did had they retained the idea of Frost/La Magra transforming from bipedal into the blood hurricane creature shown in the cut scenes on the DVD. Me thinks the studio did the right think by keeping Frost/La Magra in humanish form to fight Blade. The true problem of the Blade franchise was that none of the villains following Deacon Frost even came close to rivaling him. They should have brought back Frost because he was too charasmatic. I would have figured Goyer would have realized this and pushed for Ra's Al Ghul to be the overarcing villain of the current Batman franchise, which may still happen.

As long as we agree that the Blade series isn't really about Blade, then fine. He's really just a catalyst for the various events. Which is fine because Jones has the range of an actor-like-thing-that-has-no-r ange. Every line delivered in exactly the same way. The vampire houses and Krista's story are waaaayyy more interesting. Hell, even the subplot with the cop going after Boone is more interesting than Blade. And it was cool to see Steve Bacic show up in an episode. He was the only thing worth watching in that crap Andromeda show, imo. So, Blade's good summer entertainment, reminds me of some other cable shows, like Witchblade (which I kinda miss). Nothing brilliant, but somewhat engaging.

While the first Blade movie was pretty awsome, for my money Blade II was my favorite. When you have mutant vampires with vagina mouths, Ron perleman, fine ass actress-model types with marginal talent, Donnie Yuen, Kris Kristostotstofferson and 3 incredible fight scenes that incorporate wrasslin moves in 'em AND Mr Snipes all in the same movie, well sir you have an instant classic. That Michael Jae White would have been an awsome choice for the tv show. His turn as Mike Tyson for HBO was actually pretty good even with the funny voice and everything. The scene where he lets his sparring partners deck him and the other where he shadow boxes with a locker before his fight with Spinks were great.

The movies were entertaining, but nothing I'd ever re-watch or buy the dvds over. The series however, despite getting used to a new actor, is really good. People have to realize that acting is like any other job.. you show up for work, you make a paycheck. If someone kept showing up to your job with major issues, bringing his personal life to work to much, and acting like an angsty under appreciated asshole. People get tired of it and want you out. I wouldn't want to work around you either. I love his older films, but something about him has clearly changed. Judging by his work and career, Wesley is throwing it away in my opinion and needs to step up and either deal with his demons or quit acting. Since the series is clearly kicking more and more ass every episode... I guarantee over time Sticky will grow on you and as will he with the role. Plus if you watch all the behind the scenes vids of him on spike TV's website... he seems very personable too and a total oppisite of Wesley in person. See I think Wesley brought too much of his real life cockyness into the Blade character, which is great for the character, but not for him.

Y'know, just because something is released DTV doesn't mean it was intended to be that way. A lot of these movies get made with the expectation or hope that they will be released in theaters and then for whatever reason (usually quality) they are released to video instead. If he's gonna use characters for his nightstalkers, at least use known characters like Morbius,damion hellstrom,brother voodoo and moon knight.but he fucked up royally with that reynolds guy and jessica beil (who's fight scenes were laughable)as for the blade tv series.jai white would have been the perfect choice, he was suppossed to get the role in the XXX sequel until the asshole producers decided to go with ice cube..uh ok! after the first 4 blade episodes, it's a wrap.

Snipes did make major contributions. He brought his Nino Brown persona - created long before Blade the movie, the Afro Brazilian martial arts, and he helped to choreograph fight scenes...BTW, I read an article that said Ryan Reynolds started the whole thing with Snipes by treating Snipes like he was a nobody. Still, I read the script and Goyer has alot of great stuff in there. It's too bad these guys can't work together and do one more.

It should be revealed, for continuity reasons, if nothing else...that Sticky Fingers is not Blade...but his long lost son...who took up the mantle of his father, the real Blade, when he disappeared and was thought dead. Hence, Sticky Fingers assumed his identity and history. This will set the stage for...the eventual return of the real Blade. Having killed Dracula...he is now the leader of the vampires...and has turned evil. Our new Blade must square off with his father...This could be a really good on going story arc that would be very interesting. In the end, we discover that the original Blade hasn't turned evil as we were first led to believe...No, he has entrenched himself deep into the vampire culture so he can destroy it from the inside out!!! And I hope they figure out a way to cast Gene Simmons in this show...He'll make a bad ass villian, or a bad ass hero!!! That said...in other news, I'd still love to see David Goyer face off with Wesley Snipes in a martial arts fight...wouldn't that be great??? Even Goyer has to be amused by that possibility!!!

I keep on reading that the prolem with Wesley is that he is a primadonna. Well, I guess that's a new thing in Hollywood, an obnoxious hard to work with actor! Next I'm going to read that some porn actress' career was cut short because she was a slut. If Wesley came to the Trinity set every day with a big smile on his face, high fiving Ryan Reynolds every 10 minutes, you still would have a movie that transitioned Blade out, with poor fight scenes, people fighting with Ipods, and The Simpson's writing team setting up the best lines for Van Wilder. Vern, all the behind the scenes stuff you mentioned I am aware of (read most of it here) And if Snipes is so hard to work with, why has Goyer worked with him FOUR times, including on his OWN movie (Zig Zag). I think Wesley felt betrayed by Goyer (for his crappy role on Trinity), and unfortunately acted like a little spoiled brat.

That's why I said it's THE MYSTERY OF WESLEY SNIPES. Some people blame his alleged behavior for what's happened to his career, but that's just one suspect. I don't know. Audiences are fickle, but it's not like he's had a string of flops or anything. Even Blade 3 was a hit, I believe, so you'd think they'd want him to do more theatrical movies. I guess he's doing some zombie fighting movie now, but the whole thing sounds so god damned retarded (it's called "Gallowwalker," his character's name is "Xaos," the director calls himself "Andrew Goth") that I can only assume it's some painful Albert Pyun style DTV Blade ripoff. But who knows. I thought he was supposed to some comic book called "Black Panther," I was hoping that would be the new Blade.

I don't know bud, it would be cool if they had something like that planned from the beginning, but if they did it now it would be Bobby-Ewing-coming-out-of-the- shower ludicrous. Because how would you explain all the flashbacks Sticky-Blade has had to Blade's childhood, his mother, etc. How do you explain Blade's own father (Richard Roundtree) mistaking Sticky for Wesley? Or Sticky knowing and recognizing all the people who Blade befriended or crossed when he was growing up (the Asian store owner, the cop, the nurse, the gang that gave him the tattoos)? Also, how do you explain Blade having a son and that son being a Daywalker? I think this idea needs a little work, Metal Water. But thanks for thinking of Wesley.

Sticky Fingers Blade is being manipulated to fight the good fight5 against vampires through the use of false implanted memories that the good guys have given him...this in order to better control him...you see, they fear he may turn out like his real father, the original Blade, played by Wesley Snipes, who they believe has turned evil as he is now leading the vampire nation. All this will play well in a movie. Richard Roundtree will be exposed as some sort of recruiter who felt he had to manipulate the new Blade by perpetrating a master ruse in order to get him to assume the mantle of Blade...however, he'll be made to pay a major price when the new Blade learns the truth of his manipulation...one that at its core is designed to have him target and assassinate his real father, the real Blade who is now the vampire king...without regret or remorse...as he won't know that this is his true father!!! Listen...if New Line wants my story idea...I am perfectly willing to sell it to them

He will also learn that the man who he thought was his father...is the true villian...a vampire scheming to steal the throne of the Vampire Nation by pushing the new Blade to kill its leader...again, our original Blade played by Snipes!!!

Also I read the description of Gallowwalker on twitchfilm.net, and supposedly Wesley is not named Kaos, it's a zombie movie in the old west, and they're creating a comic around it before the release. http://tinyurl.com/mhexe It's still directed by this Andrew Goth dude who I've never heard of either so we'll see. Either way that Snipes sure is a mystery. Is he doing the DTV for the drugs or is he trying to start some kinda half-assed DTV revolution? I don't think Michael Keaton is hurting for work, he just doesn't want to anymore. Every once in a while he shows up in something small like that movie GAME 6 that came out not too long ago. I thought it was okay, nothing special. Roger Ebert loved it though. Anyway, I think he said somewhere that he just has so much money from Batman movies he doesn't really need to whore himself out and just works occasionally when he wants to, like when he was in JACKIE BROWN. That doesn't explain JACK FROST though. In conclusion, Wesley and Michael should team up.

For example: it's this Avid Farts that almost fuck up MAN ON FIRE, a movie that had a pretty good script and all Tony Scott needed to make it really good was to be subdue and just film the script like he did with TRUE ROMANCE. Plus the tattoos are the same as George Clooney's in From Dusk Till Down. Snipes tats in the movies were much more awesome. Basically because of the whole persona and the look. Hah! don't know what the fuck it means but i'm sure it's not a complement. I heard that Snipes could be a total asshole and a primadonna, but is there any actual proof that he called Ryan (Reynolds) a cracker? same goes for the rumor that Ryan snubbed Snipes the first day of shooting. I don't know if Snipes bears racist sentiment but i do know that hollywood is racist..i mean who else would nominate that dumbass (and degrading) song from the hustle and flow movie (it's hard out there for a pimp) to be song of the year at the oscars. Anyway Blade Trinity to me is like Alien 3;it does not belong in the continuity of the previous films. It does not register!!

If Snipes was a racist, he wouldn't have worked with David Goyer on that Zig Zag movie. Seems to me...if Ryan ignored him...he would have easily felt perhaps that Ryan was being a racist...Hence, the jab cracker. That is a term that is often used to describe a Southern racist...or a poor person who is racist. In Ryan's case, he is from Canada, so the Southern part doesn't play in things here. Still, if you come on somebody's set and ignore them...it is going to be preceived as a intentional slight. And just as the previous poster commented, Hollywood is racist...That point came home loud and clear when Snipes was not given casting approval despite the terms of his contract. Now...to be fair to Ryan, I have heard no information whatsoever, that he ignored Snipes at anytime. As a matter of fact, he said that Snipes really took to his mother when she came on the set...a surprise since, Ryan said Snipes had stayed in character and thus was mean to everybody...having locked himself in the method acting approuch. In other words...he was Blade all the time he was on set, except when in the company of Ryan's mom who he treated with great respect!!! So in terms of these two ugly rumors about Wesley and Ryan...as mentioned above...I think they are just that, rumors!!!
