Hopefully we'll get a little taste of what WETA has in store for both HALO and AVATAR soon. Just a single concept art sketch or half-finished model would be sweet.

I was just down at Melbourne Central and what caused the traffic jam from what I saw was a derailed iram right in the middle of the main crossing. I just came in the door right now from walking home.

Going to shit like Dupree is something I'm sure both sexes are guilty of. The fact that little man made any money shows that mainstream audiences will watch any piece of crap

The point about Shakepeare is the WORDS. The more the better.Sooty, but I won't be seeing this. Macbeth is a ver SHORT play. It doesn't need cuts and, if you want to see the good stuff; check out Anthony Sher and Harriet Walter on DVD.

Whatever you want it to be. That's what's so good about his works: the language is so rich and so deep that you can draw whatever "point" you want from it. Lord knows that High School English only focuses on "what does Iago's constant reference to poisons mean?" but you can do so much more with it, as evidenced by Luhrman's Romeo + Juliet - you can take the most famous, and now seemingly cliched, love story of all time and change it completely, adding in high camp and garish spectacle, but the language still holds it together.

It's like nails on a chalkboard when people call him Master Chief. It's a rank, not a name. Now Master Shake, on the other hand...

...They're a bunch of, how shall we say, idiots that want more rights for Dads following a divorce, which is a good cause, but the methods they employ are retarded at best. They interupted a broadcast of the Lottery to shout and scream at everyone with placards and the like. It's a brilliant way to get the public on your side, temporarily halting a show that promises one viewer a million quid.

It was a joke. I don't know the game very well, but I heard Cortana will be played by Jennifer Lopez.

Dude, I usually agree with most of your reviews but I saw 'Macbeth' a few weeks back and it is EASILY a contender for the WORST film i've seen this year. Worthington is AWFUL in this role - totally miscast - he's not so bad that he'd have to do second take in a snuff movie but he IS totally unsuitable as Macbeth - he simply lacks the gravitas to pull it off. The film itself is FUCKING APPALLING. It's a travesty to think that this abortion was orchestrated by the guy who made "Romper Stomper'.

Angelina would be playing Alice, who, in the book, is older than Dorothy and Wendy. Clearly, I've spent far, far too much time thinking about this.

want it to be. Whether you enjoy his symbolism, dialogue, wit, humour, wordplay, themes, etc when READING HIS PLAYS....... The best part about WATCHING HIS PLAYS is knowing that the actors get it. That the actors understand what's at stake, what they're saying, and deliver it profoundly where its wanting. I've seen a lot of plays, and a lot of cinematic adaptions of shakespeare, and I found the best ones were the ones where you knew those actors spent a lot of time studying their character (their flaws, achievements, egos, emotions) ... For example, I found Mel Gibson's portrayal of Hamlet to be pretty good because he portrayed hamlet as we would expect; a man so obsessed with revenge yet so afraid of death. Even though they cut out some of the play I still found it felt like the actors got what it was all about. There's the character Charles Kingman in Slings and Arrows (if anyone has seen slings and arrows tv show) that shows you the process of understanding a shakespearean character. You know he gets king lear. He understands the most profound moments that character has, and his breakdown. Finally, I would conclude that when studying shakespeare take into it whatever you want, but when watching it the only thing that matters is how well the actors portray each character and understand each line. Through excellent acting, everything else stands out... the symbolism, themes, etc. I still remember high school plays of shakespeare. It was just memorizing lines for most of the kids acting the play. Even in College it was them memorizing their lines. The lines never seemed to go much deeper than that for them.
