I wouldn't call those boobies little. ;) That being said, I am really impressed by the figure itself. I dont think I have ever seen a 3D representation of an anime character that has captured the form and motion so well. Honestly, it's a great piece, and super-hot too. lol

I had a more illustrative photo. Let's just say there's a reason the other figures got two photos and she got one.

Was when the dude pulled out an early piece one evidence on... of all things in the future... a videocassette! I was laughing so hard I had to pause it... I'm kinda pissed that they released these re-releases of teh Patlabor movies when I'd already purchased the older ones not too far back... I hate when that happens. Anyway recently finished reading Nihei's Blame! and I've gotta say I'm ready to jump abord his bandwagon cult of fans, I've even found appreciation for the Blame! DVD I purchased but hated not knowing what it was or what the fuck was going on... Man I think those guys should really go ahead with a series or hell, get someone like Yoshitoshi Abe involved... this stuff is right up his alley! And speaking of the statues, yes I am considering thinking about probably getting that one we all have our eye on even though I don't know who she is... I don't find anime girls 'sexually' appealing (cute, yes...) but this one just might change that trend :P Maybe it's the 3d-ness?
i really enjoy patlabor

That's my favorite manga that doesn't involve the president of America raping a fetus. I say screw a TV series, I want to see this as a theatrical feature and for chrissakes don't make it as candy-colored as those awful "webisodes".

If anyone deseves to be guest of honor it's Crispin Freeman. He has a great and unique voice, and it's great that he's appreciated by millions of geeks out there, and being a geek is no longer a bad thing. Congrats Mr. Freeman for being the guest of honor.

have their legs covered? Eh. What the heck parts am I looking at... I suppose somewhere in Japan is a guy with an advanced art degree making these things and a committee of old men that approves each model... That's not a bad way to make a living. Death Note Movie: It's too bad we don't get all the stuff that plays over in Japan. I'd love to see that movie and I'm curious as hell how well the CGI came out. Densha: I believe Densha Otoko started out as a serialized novel that people read on their cell phones and then became a mega hit in every medium it was translated to. I haven't read the manga versions but I've seen the movie and TV series and they're both pretty good. A heart warming "otaku gets the girl" story with a good peek into Otaku life/culture (particularly in the TV series.) Though I would've preferred the male lead in the movie play the male lead in the TV series.
Blame! Anime/movie

I didn't think the colour was bad in the animated webisodes. It kinda matched the few coloured pages and covers of the Blame! manga. Though if I was going to approach it as a film, it's do it black and white like the Sin City style. As a movie it'd have to be really... slow... in order to capture the essence of the Megastructures enormity... lots of tedious walking and scenery shots... calmness that is then interrupted by massive violence and explosions. It wouldn't take with general audiences in my opinion, we'd have to speed up the pace and provide a LOT more exposition about what the hell is going on... frankly it's work better as anime and marketed towards the 'Serial experiments Lain/Texhnolyze' crowd... which is why I believe Abe would be the perfect guy to do it... though even those webisode's style would work...

connection with blade runner gits first movie, which is actually overly approachable mixed in with the music of fiona apple's extraoridnary machine, the video menu for tool's parabola video blade runner bit is the missing scene from all versions, where Deckard visits Holden, music is Tim Hecker and Jaga not Jega
