What, is DC on crack? Yes, go ahead, adapt your characters to movies, but don't punish by taking away what for us is the best representation of these characters done by an exceptional team... this show is great, one of my absolute favorites and my favorite version of supes, bats, wonder woman, flash, GL, jonn, etc, and please for the love of god don't take it away cuz you are worried about your movie properties...

Cartoon Network execs have their heads up their asses in regards to this show. Adult Swim should have adopted it. JLU was extremely well done, and the reason it never got the recognition that it should have has been items such as showing it in Europe or Canada before the US (which made everyone DOWNLOAD the damn thing to ruin ratings) and the ever-changing timeslots and lack of upcoming show announcements.

Any episode of this show is a thousand times more watchable than the cartoon nightmares that precede it. I'm not a fan of anime, but I wouldn't even call "Dragon Ball" or "Bobo-bo-whatever" proper anime. They're more like animated fever dreams. And yet they'll continue while clever, attractively animated adventures of beloved comic book heroes are allowed to fade away ( through poor scheduling and lackluster promotion ) and eventually be cancelled. Bite me, Cartoon Network !
Maybe it's better they cancel it....

So, Lex Luthor's plan for universal domination hinges on sucessfully staging a series of cat-fights?!? What next, super-villain-girls-gone-wild? !?

What the cartoon network and DC has done to this show and the Titans is a disgrace. I am sure the reason this show and the Titans will not be back is ultimately over someone not being paid enough. It

Right before Lex came up with the idea to pit the female Leaguers against each other, he was talking about how he needed more resources (aka $$$) to continue with his plan. Obviously he and Roulette staged these fights so that he could raise money to duplicate that Braniac fragment or whatever he was doing. I don't remember the exact details because I was reveling way too much in Wonder Woman owning all the other heroines.

Yes, I got all that, I was just commenting on how ridiculous it all was that Lex's plan should hinge on some low-brow cat-fights (think of the scope of some his previous plans, and the large criminal army he's in charge of). Yes, he needs money, but what bizarre and random way for him to get it. I mean, if he could really control the JLU's women like that, why have them fight for profit? Why not have the rob the US Mint? Stupid episode.

If Luthor has a mind control device that works on the heroes, wouldn't he find a better use for it than staging a bitch-fight? Like, I don't know, having Wonder Woman rob Ft. Knox? Or using all of the JL to take over the world? Or just for fun, make Bats and Supes make-out? I'm just saying...
I agree, terrible use of mind-control on Luthor's part

What a waste of a great weapon! A bit of a plot hole that it was just dismissed as some plot of Grodd's and not explained any more. Controlling league members through their communication system is a pretty terrific acheivement to waste on such a small endeavor as a catfight for money. Then again, Lex is male, we're talking chick fights, and the blood only flows in one direction.
The question is...

..why was Sonar with the Society when he had a mind-controlling device like that? The device hinged on certain frequencies coming from the League comlinks, and Huntress and Black Canary pointedly asked _him_ about how to stop the signals.

I agree, a silly use of mind controlled heroines. Though I could argue that robbing Fort Knox is too high-profile, and running "Glamour Brawl" gets you a steady stream of income until someone figures out what's going on and breaks it up.
Possible reason for JLU leaving

Classic WB stupidity. The people currently running CN ran Nickelodeon in the 1990's. The JLU production team have been doing these superhero shows for 14 years. The new exec.'s want to make their mark and that means Bo-Bo-Bo-boo-bad anime bought on the cheap at the expense of JLU. Also, Time Warner is using the 1978 Superman Movie as the template for the DC universe- the "Superman Returns" plot, "Smallville" kills off Pa Kent, "Infinite Crisis" in the comic books. We have had a 20 year run, but "All good things..."-----later-----m

was worth the whole show. That was pure gold. Question: "Blue overcoat. Fadora." Huntress: "You really don't know how to play this game." Question: "Orange socks." I do agree about "silly use of mind control" issue, but at least Luthor's ultimate goal of acheiving godhood by restoring and recombining with Braniac is a bit cooler than Grod's let's give everybody body-hair master plan. (Seriously, that's like something The Trick from Flash and Substance would've come up with.) Speakingof, love that line from The Great brain Robbery, I think from the Magnet guy. "What's your plan gonna be, Luthor? Make the whole world bald." There's definitly a body-hair subtext this season. I wonder where Darkseid is gonna weigh in on that.
