Given the fact that Eternal Sunshine sported one of the very finest scripts in a very fine year for movies (kaufman's oscar being one of the few just moves the academy has made in a decade) we often overlook how challenging it was for Gondry to bring such a layered, complex and surreal story to the screen. And boy did he hit it out of the park. Hurray for Gondry and Hurray for this film.

...or was Eternal Sunshine a little too out there? I got it, but it wasn't all that so many ppl said it was supposed to be. Maybe I'm turning into a popcorn flick lover after all the big $$$ films of the last year... Or am I getting tired and cranky @ 2:30am??? yeah...

First this one, but rumour has it that Gondry's next would be an adaptation of Jonathan Safran Foer's novel EXTREMELY LOUD & INCREDIBLY CLOSE - who knows about this? PS Quint, put up your Top 10 05 list, dammit! Heh.

but does anyone recall "Human Nature", written by Kaufman and directed by Gondry with Tim Robbins starring. There was nothing great about that.

Nothing great about it? Are you kidding? It was an extremely smart, very perseptive and lough out loud funny movie. I liked it more than "Sunshine".

everything he does is fucking amazing and original. human nature wasnt all that great but so much better than the usual sludge hollywood releases. his music videos are also among the best.has anyone seen the new Kanye and White stripes video? and i cant wait for his dave chappelle doc "Block Party" . Michel Gondry will own your ass in 06!

and did like Human Nature a bit. Not as all around good as Eternal, but still pretty decent. Will look forward to his next film. Isn't Gael Garcia Bernal in this or something?

I love what Gondry did with Eternal Sunshine, I'm yet to see Human Nature but am more eager than ever now.
