Am I the only one who thought the Shield was a little lame this year? Was Chickless (sic) oo distracted (or too Grimm) being the Thing to bring the Mackey? Or is it the new captain getting too Close? Ok, enuff bad puns. Seriously...I've watched the Shield since episode one and I have yet to see a jawdropping moment this whole season. Who's wid me?

Smallville season finale, Dr Who, and The Contender. Will tape Dr Who but have not yet decided if I should skip Smallville and catch it it reruns, or skip the 1st hour of The Contender. Of course, the only thing worth watching at 9 is the second half of The Contender and 10 is a ghost town. Typical. I could watch Romber get married but then I wouldn't respect myself in the morning. Not that I watch Smallville, but I thought thats what the previews were saying for the Batman Begins dealio. And I've been loving the Shield this season as much as the last seasons, though things aren't quite as amped up as the last seasons, but that's forgivable because it hit a bit of a reset button starting all the main characters from square one this year. I'm still completely in the story and characters, and can't believe we're already on episode 10 (argh these 13 episode seasons and year long waits in between!).

My sweetie and I have developed what we call conflationary theory, and Los Angeles is definitely a major nexus for this, such as Angel showing up to stake vampires at Fisher, Fisher and Diaz Funeral Home, or Sydney Bristow and Jack Bauer getting into a pissing match. was OK. Last weeks ep was the best of the season, though. Much to my surprise, it was one of my top 2 or 3 favorite episodes of anything all year long. We found out who House is, how he got that way, and why people put up with him at the hospital where he spends all his time pissing people off. All with a a triple dose of the show's trademark puzzles and wry humor. Plus, any show with both Sela and Carmen Electra pretty qualifies as must-see TV for me.

Now that was a finale. I mean, c'mon, someone actually dies. Not dies and comes back. Dead. Can't really be much deader. Not coming back dead. Nobody knew who it'd be. There were no spoilers. It was GLORIOUS. I'm just wondering why they killed who they killed as I haven't been able to find anything that says they have another project in the works or anything.

I agree with you on the jaw dropping moments. I think this season has been great but it's hard to follow up a season that had Tavon flying thorugh a windshield after taking an iron to the head, Asseveda choking on some cock and Dutch strangling a cat(that was last season right?)

That girl getting shot and Anderson saying, "Now when I tell you to suck my dick I expect you to say, 'Can I lick your balls too, Daddy?'" Or something along those lines. Also, Aceveda did just put a gun to a hookers head and tell her to suck his dick. That was a retread of what happened to him, but (come on!) that's still pretty jaw dropping! Also... I can't think of anything else. The season has been weaker than the last couple, but the addition of Anderson and Close has been great.
