I think it looks great. Banderas is underused and underrated, if you ask me. What's that? You didn't as me? Oh...never mind then. I did say IF you ask me. Er.. taxi!
Yea...it looks...good-ish

I mostly enjoyed the first, but as weird as it sounds I actually would have perfered more of the story to revolve around Anthony Hopkins character instead of Antonio Banderas'. Banderas is more charming and energetic, but Hopkins playing "The man in the iron mask" thing going on had an errie edge going for him. Sorry, I'm looking for a unconventional twist in a Hollywoodland fanchise driven movie...sorry my bad. As far as this next installment? It'll be that fun-for-the-whole-family-fair. ..yea like we need more of those. I wish I could figure out how to develope some tallent, and write a decent action/drama so I will stop complaining.

I'm not talking Pirates of the Caribbean here (even though the music sounds about the same) but I loved the old Walt Disney Zorro, so i am hooked on the character.

Looks great. And it has Rufus Sewell in it too? Cool. My favourite bad guy. He's right up there with Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, Jason Isaacs, Karl Urban etc

I hope he whispers in that husky "fuck me" voice throughout the whole movie. Mainly because I have always been of the belief that people shouldn't care what Zorro says. That's my Credo. "Someone tell Zorro to either quiet down or shut the fuck up." I dunno, maybe Banderas has some kind of congenital throat defect that prohibits him from using his outside voice.

"The Mask of Zorro"and"The X Files" were my two favorite movies of the summer of 1998.I'm glad this is finally coming out as I've been looking forward to it for a long time. Now if only Chris Carter would get off his ass and get that X Files sequel going.

but something was wrong. I like zorro, i liked the actors, i liked the way it was shot, but there was just something missing. it was boring. i hope this second movie fixes the problems of the first. but the trailer makes me think zorro can now fly. not a good sign.

so I hope it's more in the vein of Indiana Jones, instead of, say, the Mummy 2, if it is. When you see him write the "EZ" on the guy's ass, for some reason right away I thought, "wait a minute, I know they are in America now, but they are still supposed to be of Spanish origin, he'd never write 'EZ,' he'd write 'facil!'"

Mask of Zorro was one of the best action films to come around in

Part of the excitement of the first film was Anthony Hopkins and his vengeance tale. Really, they should have found a way to bring him back. Not sure how, mind you, but it would have been nice. As it is, it looks like they just tried to go heavy on the jumping and acrobatics, which probably is indicative of a sub-standard plot. But I'll be there 'cause I dig Martin Campbell's directorial skills. He made Goldeneye, the only decent Bond film in a decade. What with Roger Moore shitting his pants and drooling all over his suits from old age and Timothy Dalton coming on to the scene with nothing but a cynical-as-hell take on the franchise, it was refreshing to see Brosnan do something good with the character under Campbell's competent helming.

I'm looking forward to this film, you know, a nice fun adventure film, but PLEASE, oh please, fix those CGI shots,,,you know, just about every shot that has to do with train. You can easily tell it's all bluescreen and you can see the famous 'lines' and 'shadows' that the actors cast as they move around in front of the screen. it got on my nerves.
Meh.

Where's the Mustache???

Zorro has a pencil mustache, period. That is part of his character. That was lame how only the old Zorro (Hopkins) had it in Part I, but I gave Antonio a break because I figured he was just transitioning into the hero. I figured in Part II he would definitely have it. But No, they killed it! How would Superman or Batman look if they had a Mustache in the new movies, lame! Same with Zorro and lack thereof.
You are right!

Where is the mustache? I will BOYCOTT THIS MOVIE unless they reshoot all the scenes where Zorro is mustache-less. A quick fix CGI job cannot satisfy me. Mustache or I take my $11.50 to see MEG.

Really... We always get to see Antonio Banderas' bare chest, but Zeta-Jones has yet to give us the goods. Still, there's no way this will be as good as "Zorro: The Gay Blade!"

They use Hans Zimmer's Drop Zone score for the Mask Of Zorro trailer, re-use it for the POTC trailer, and now they're using the POTC score for the Zorro 2 trailer. Anyways, Zorro #1 was the best swashbuckler since Indiana Jones hung up his hat and bullwhip, and I'm eager to see Zorro #2, especially for Catherine Zeta-Jones in those sexy period costumes.

I have to watch Banderas overact (and thpeak weeth mahbulls een hees mouth) and Zeta-Jones um, "underact"? Fark. This looks as boring as "A Knight's Tale," with the gratuitous anachronistic winks and nods and oh-my-aren't-we-clever bits. And a fuckin' annoying kid, too.
