It has to be the most pointless sport in history.
Pull them belts tight boys. Get ready for some zipline action.

I cannot wait for the opening call of this race. I might just take it to remember Joyce, DW, and Larry Mac calling the start of the BATMAN BEGINS 400!
BORING!!!

This car looks like crap! If they had gone simply with the yellow symbol over black, that would have owned! This.. this looks like someone threw up their cereal and decided to call it the Batman scheme for a car. Man... if this is any indication of what the movie is going to be like... heaven help us. And yeah.. Nascar bites.

Now if this had actually been the Batmobile they're going to use in the film, it'd be interesting - even exciting. As it isn't... what the hell is this non-story doing here? Going to run an article on Revenge of the Sith-themed M&M packets next?

Sucks to be the driver, but he was hyped when they came up to him and said they'll paint it up in a Batman theme, and then he ended up with something that harkens to Saturday morning cartoons.
Funny thing...

...but last Saturday I was sitting at home (yeah, yeah, Saturday night and I'm home alone watching TV. I'm a bar manager and lucked into a night off and did't feel like going out, OK?). So anyway, as a re-blooded Canadian male who loves his Leafs, plays golf and soccer and is passionate about the 'FL's (both N and C), I don't have much time for this thing you Yanks call NASCAR. But, with God as my witness, I was intrigued for a good 2 hrs watching the Subway 300-or-something (I only know it was called that because that pansy Jarod did the start your engines thing). I've got a 42" Hitachi with a 6.1 surround system and subscribe to the HD channels, and out of all the sports out there, NASCAR hands down takes the cake for production value. The quality of picture and the sound of the cars as they raced incessantly 'round slapped me in the pucker like nothing since the sheer beauty of seeing the glory of Augusta last month at the Masters. I'll probabaly not tune in for every race, but I gotta give it credit; it had a 30 year old suburban upper-middle class Canuck a-hootin' an' a-hollerin like a bajo-plying retard! Oh, and by the by, they had a Star Wars III car there, and apparantly George Lucas had his own private box there, so Bats comes in at #2 for Geeks vs. Rednecks!

I used to casually peek at NASCAR every now and then. I'm not a redneck or anything, just a auto racing fan. F1, Indy, Le Mans(24 hour race in France), etc. Anyways, I haven't watched NeckCAR in years, but I'll tune in to see the new Batmobile. They couldn't use the Burton one for this since it topped out at like 30mph. This new one goes like 120mph in real life. Hopefully they will let it flex it's muscles out there and maybe even do a rampless jump (more like a hop).

Also, you never see a riot following a NASCAR event. Dark Knight Out.
