It has proven time and time again that when you try to westernize a foreign director, their work will sucks.

I really have to disagree with what he says about Inside Im Dancing. Yes it does hunmanise people in wheelchairs but first off what is wrong with doing that? and second I have never seen two lead characters in a major feature film be two people in wheel chairs whos disabilities arent used for laughs and who both go on great emotional journeys.Plus I have to say that I found it to be a very well written film with some great dialogue. Its well worth a look for anyone who can get there hands on it in the states. My only complaint with it was how it was lit and the production design.

Fernando is a talented commercial director but Katia had done the ground work. She was the one who worked with the kids and had done a documentary on the subject. She organized the great cast and locations. Without her heart on the project, it wouldn't be the film you all know now. Unfortunately, her role was supressed greatly. So when you give credit to a great film, don't forget its second credited director - and don't be surprised if the follow up doesn't have the depth the first one did. Fernando is a great director, but give Katia her due.
