Always Up for a Bit of Jackie

In the run up to 'Revenge of the Sith' it's hard to get excited about any other movies or movie trailers. This is a fairly regular trailer, didn't see anything that 'wow'ed me, but I'll go see almost anything Jackie is in, still haven't got round to seeing The Medallion though. The teaming up with Stanley Tong is probably a good thing but isn't an assurance of quality. And just when is 'Drunken Master 2' gonna be available to buy over here in the UK!!!??

I mean, he finally came to the US to get the stardom he deserved. but ended up in one POS after another, with only Rush Hour 1 & 2 for hits. That's pretty sad. No US equivalent of the Armour of God, Police Story, or Project A series. We still love you, dude, we just want a movie worthy of you!

well, the teaser doesn't get me excited that much. after the new Police Story, it looks like Jackie Chan tries to play in more serious action or adventure movies without any elements of comedy...i hope he'll be successful with his new approach. and just for info: Kim Hee-Seon is a well known Korean actress in her native land and a beautiful one too ^^
Looks promising

I don't exactly like seeing Jackie Chan teaming up with Bollywood but, hey, it's got Tony Leung Ka-Fai (AKA the *other* Tony Leung) starring alongside Jackie with Stanley Tong behind the camera...I'm there.

Has already happened: New police story: fuckin' ballsy and 100% without humour movie (his best film by far since Drunken master II)!

I clicked the link for the teaser and it was downloaded and playing in less than 10 seconds. The video didn't stop or stutter once. BBC needs to stop blaming WinMP for his lousy PC or connection.

This could be awesome. I've been wanting Jackie to do a more serious movie. Maybe because I watched Hero last night...awesome

Mallika

Mallika is smoking hot. Anyone who has seen the Hindi film Murder can confirm that. Actually to tell the truth most of the top Hindi actresses are stunners: Ash Rai, Priyanka Chopra, Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta are all either ex Miss Worlds or Miss Universes and Bipasha Basu is possibly even more beautiful than any of them. Strangely enough they can all act too. It wouldn't suprise me if after Hollywoods current trend of Latino actresses becoming popular (Lopez, Hayek, Cruz, Mendes) and TV's trend to use Korean actresses (in Lost, Enterprise and Battlestar) that they start importing more girls from the subcontinent, they are basically good looking girls who know how to work fast and have a differnet look to what people are used too which makes them exotic. Ash Rai has already done Bride & Prejudice and has another couple of western films in the pipeline and if any of them are big succeses the floodgates could open.
This movie WILL ROCK!

'The Myth' just sounds so "blah." Funny, this site can talk about this film and Jackie's 'New Police Story', but hardly any coverage on 'Twins Effect 2.'

Ugh I've said this before such a long time ago. China needs to desperately jump on the Quicktime bandwagon with it's trailers. ;)

Saw it last winter and it was bad. The story has nothing to do with the first film, nothing to do with vampires... it was the Chinese equal to our Halloween 2. It was about women taking over the world and he men were slaves. The villan was some evil witch with an evil plot to make all the men in the world have breasts so "man" itself existed less. Yea... I'm not kidding, thats the plot. The film has only ONE good fight sequence which is Donnie Yen/Jackie Chan. Even that dosen't last long to save the film from being an obvious franchise vehicle for the twin girls. Kinda bummed because I found the first Twins Effect mildly entertaining and bought the dvd... sold it after seeing TE2.
