I've read these books, and you know it's the damndest thing, but I don't remember Ben having rebellious teenage kids. How very odd. Whatever, it'll be neat to see it on the big screen anyway.

First it was Marky Mark remaking Charade, now Ice Cube in Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House. Next up: R Kelly remakes The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer.
This'll be the second remake of "Mr. Blandings"--the first was T

Lots of supernatural thrillers in this batch. I guess comic book adaptations are out at the studios and J-horror imitations in.

in the Divine role, no less (insert "Travolta will have to lose weight for the role" joke here). It's not like John Waters is the hip, successful new director in town, who every A-lister is cutting their fee to work with (that would be Charlie Kaufman).

Gee, that's completely different to Ghostbusters, eh? A motley crew of misfits, check, monsters an everyday nuisance, check, catchy title that sums up the plot, check - Find "ghost", Replace With "monster", Remove All Occurrences of Humour...

They just keep getting longer. Twenty eight books, ten biopics, eight comic books, six remakes, three sports films and three romantic comedies. A crapload of magazine article adaptations, though - I'm going to have to add that to my regular list of stuff. This week's Perfect Casting Award: Ben Affleck as an alcoholic hack actor. This week's Va-Va-Voom Award: Sofia Vergara. This week's Ripe-For-Late-Night-Material Award: John Travolta. Is Viggo speaking spanish for Alatriste?

I would like to suggest that purple ink on a slightly paler purple background is not easy to read. Please add some contrast to pages like this. AND in articles that deal with several movie titles and actor names, please try to make them stand out more as most people will only want to scan the page and read the paragraphs related to particular projects or persons. (If anyone agrees, it might add weight if you add your comments too.)

Would his career have been better, or would he have had no career, if he didn't look like Johnny Depp's younger twin brother?
