So this a rip-off of Goyer's abandoned "Blade 3" premise...

Which was, in turn, was a play on "I am Legend." Eff that.

They're just victim to some ailment in which they need to drink blood. Last I heard, "vampires" don't produce offspring via birth canal or age, so why call these "daybreakers" vampires? Didn't I just read a scoop about "I Am Legend" moving forward (I still won't hold my breath for that one, after a years and years of false starts, I doubt it will make the big screen in my life time)? Make that shit instead.

the corey's - haim AND feldman will be the final 2 human survivors. armed only with a pair of offensive-smelling careers, horrendous soundtrack and a case of aqua net. they drive about suburbia picking off vampires - soccer games, bingo parlors and in a final desperate confrontation... the local wal-mart. oh yeah, make sure they're vampyres, infinitely more evil and scary.

should never have been fucking made before "The Vampire Lestat." Ann Rice needs to be bitch slapped for allowing that. But while her vampires tend to swing both ways, what was not adequately conveyed in the "films" was that they were more powerful than the vamps in Buffy,Blade & Underworld combined.
The problems with UNDEAD can't be blamed on it's ultra low budge

It's problems are to do with its script, its shoot and its editing. I fear this next film could have the same issues. It already does if it's a serious take on Vampires being ordinary people.
Anne Rice had nothing to do with QOTD

She sold the right to Queen along with Vampire Lestat a loooooong time ago. The film rights would revert back to her if after a certain number of pre determined years a film wasn't made. The studio threw together QOTD just so they wouldn't lose the film rights to it. For the record I enjoyed Undead for what its was. A tongue in cheek, low budget zombie flick.

Precisely, I would never sell my babies off to be defiled for generations to come. Christ Anne, hope it was worth it. Anyway Undead wasn't to bad, a little strange in some areas, but the ending rocked.

That just needed to be said. Undead was pretty great, mostly Aussie humour though, so probably alot of people wouldn't like it outside the country (that ain't a dig, it's the truth - alot of French comedies are like that too). But the Spierig's showed themselves to be able to make an indy, zero budget comedy, isn't it a bit of a gamble to give them a multi-million dollar straight horror movie?
