Not as good as "HIS FATHER IS THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY!!!!" Also why isn't there a Desperate Housewives talkback?! It's only the best show on television right now.
I couldn't care less about this "House" show, BUT

For this person to say that Desperate Housewives is the best thing on TV? That's just retarded. Lost is the best thing on TV right now...Hands Down.
I WATCHED Desperate Housewives because of your bitching.

It was the shittiest thing I've seen on television since Fox cancelled Melrose Place!! The big argument over Little Red Riding Hood? The Latina mom who suddenly discovers a gambling problem? If this is your thing, stick with it, but you may want to switch to Dark Horizons or CHUD for your "Housewives" updates. I think the show's garbage.

Although the show's not entirely my cup of tea, women love it. The interactions between the women on the show, well, it's stuff that resonates with your typical middle class woman.

If your so insecure in your sexuality that you feel the need to bash Housewives that's fine. But television is so crappy now I welcome a fun show like this. If you want to see a show going nowhere watch Lost. I'll watch any show this well done and this well casted regardless of stupid girls show, boys show crap.
I've had at least one woman tell me the DESPERATE women's friend

I think my disdain for "Desperate Housewives" has less to do with being threatened by a female-centric drama and more to do with the fact that "Desperate Housewives" is really, really poorly written.

The sexuality comment wasn't for you Herc but the other poster. Would you think LOST was so awesome if the only episode you saw was the episode revolving around the fucking korean woman? You missed the really good episodes. The televisionwithoutpity crowd seems to enjoy it.

There sure is a lot of coverage of TV shows that any respectable geek wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole. Odd.

Just some strapping thor-like God holding his Hammer of Power in one hand and a spike of doom in the other and a lone tear running down his cheek. anyway, I won't watch this. Not that I think it looks bad its just A) not a fan of medical dramas and B) I'm already newly addicted to "Lost" & "24". Throw in "South Park", "Enterprise" & "Simpsons" that's a little too much in there already for another show.

House is kickbutt horror cheese starring William Katt and Norm from Cheers. And, oh yeah, Bull from Night Court. Ding dong, you're dead!!!

With Patricia Arquette? Seeing dead people? Hope it doesn't go the way of "Now and Again." Re: "Desparate Housewives/Melrose Place 2". Too much narration. Ditto "Arrested Development." Cut it out. If we wanted clever writerly asides, we would rather read a book. I would rather see more Marcia Cross in underwear.

Two words - Hugh Laurie!

Ok, so he's doing TV instead of playing Arthur Dent in the HHGTTG movie, but hey, why not TV? He looks great in the part, and I for one will go out after work and pick up a copy of the magazine for $2 or whatever so I don't have to wait until next week to see it. And as far as geek appeal, this show gets points as much as any other fan-fav-does-TVdrama show (T.J. Hooker anyone?) because of Hugh's body of work in British comedy including of course, Jeeves and Wooster, A Bit of Fry and Laurie and Black Adder, not to mention his cameos in Young Ones, Dangerous Brothers, etc. More Hugh Laurie is never a bad thing.

I subscribe and I didn't get the DVD. The only reason that this pisses me off is because I wanted to see Bryan Singer's work. Now I'll have to remember to watch the show(which I won't).

But that's just because I think that Buffy and Angel are (bad) teenager shows. But DH is awful, and there will come a day when admiting you watch it will cost friendships, jobs and loved ones. That being said, what about this Simpsons' 2008 movie? Can they hold it more then one season? Hey, I love the direction the show's taken (although I understand why people hate it - because it really changed), but can they pull it?? I would hate if it ended in a way that even the most rabid fan like myself would find it disapointing. Well, Brad Bird should be really cheap to hire after the 70 million opening. Just remember: if you can't keep them runnig, shut up and give us a movie every two or three years.

The "Ray" issue included a disc of "Huff" ( which I probably won't watch.) The "Julia & Natalie" issue had the "House" dvd. I watched it and my verdict is that it's way too smart for Fox viewers, in fact for the majority of network TV watchers today ( i.e. mouth breathers who will be turned off when they hear the title and find out it's not a reality-remodel show ) When I say it's too smart I don't mean that as a bad thing, I mean that I don't think it will survive. I liked the style, I liked Hugh Laurie and his character, I liked that it takes place in NJ ( Jersey represent ! ) but I give it half a sesaon.

With the exception of the lead character, the rest of the cast is pretty flat. The storyline is interesting though.
